This 2 bedroomed self contained apartment is situated in the Spanish town of San Pedro del Pinatar. the town centre is a 10 minute walk away which offers, a selection of shops, a town square with an lovely church, bars, restaurants and several tapas bars, there is an extensive famous street market held on a Monday. The Thalasia spa is a 5 minute walk, for an indulgent massage or treatment. The sea front is only a 15 to 20 minute walk away with safe shallow waters of the Mar Menor. also an area of therapeutic mud baths with their healing properties. There are a number of bars and restaurants, (English menus available), along the promenade with a fun fair and street market during high season. A selection of golf courses, Pinatar arena sport complex and Club Nautico marina. San Pedro Dos Mares complex and La Zennia Boulavard a new designer shopping complex with supermarket, cinema and food halls are just a short drive or bus ride away.

Coast/Beach:

A number of beaches are easily accessible within walkable distance, the area being mostly flat.

The Mar Menor for safe bathing, Lo Pagan, San Pedro, and Santiago, are 15-20 minute walk

Mahon and Pilar de la Horadada on the Mediterranean coast can be reached by a short drive or bus it can be walked.

Travel:

San Javier airport is conveniently located 15 minutes drive from the apartment, Alicante is a 45 minute drive away, all major car hire companies operate from both airports, alternatively a taxi can be arranged from either airport. price available on request.

The local bus station is a short walk from the apartment, giving access to local areas and Torrevieja, Murcia, Cartagena, Alicante, or further afield at a reasonable cost.

Cycle hire is available.

Further Details:

The Mar Menor has become one of the biggest attractions on the Med. With its shallow warm waters. There is an area of therapeutic mud which is said to be of benefit to rheumatic and skin complaints, (during the summer months people can be seen "splashing it on all over").

The nature reserve and Salinas are of prime ecological importance and is home to several species of birds, and is used by migratory Flamingos on the journey to Africa.

This is all within a short flat easy walk.

Murcia is the capital of the area, and has a Cathedral of great historic interest.

Cartagena has the Naval port and museum Get the open top bus and explore.

Notes on accommodation: This is a clean bright comfortable non-smoking apartment. Outside: There is a large balcony with table and 4 chairs, umbrella pedestal and an open outlook to the front. The communal pool is to the rear of the apartment and accessed via locked gates (key is in the apartment), part of the pool is child friendly, there is a mix of shaded and sunbathing areas with some seating, also showers. Utility Room: Washing machine, ironing board and iron, clothes airier and line with pegs, storage with beach chairs, umbrella and beach games. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / All bed linen and towels including beach towels are provided, washing machine for your own use, There is a cleaning/laundry fee of 55 Euro payable to the key holder when keys are collected.

Fantastic place to stay for family holidays and not only...

It is actually the first apartment I rented that had everything you wished for to have great holidays. Ready to live straight away. I did not have to think of buying beach towels, sun umbrellas or sport equipment. Everything was there to use stored in one place, so easy to find. Kitchen was very well equipped too with every single detail possible. The owner put a really great thought into this place and used his imagination to ensure that whoever rents the place gets a fantastic experience. The thing that gave me a big piece of mind, and I am sure everyone is the same on their holidays, was a safety box. I did not have to worry about my passport and other valuable things. Just left them there for the duration of the stay knowing they are safe. I also need to mention a lady who was waiting for us on the arrival with the keys to the apartment. The flight was delayed and I did not have a chance to inform the key-holder. She was so patient and was waiting for us with not even one word of complaint. Thank you,Pam. And of course thank you, David. Well done.

A pleasant break

The apartment was lovely and well kept with all the facilities you would need for a stay in another country,just down the road amigos bar offered all the football entertainment and top quality food.

The beach was about 30mins on foot and was lovely and a visit to the mud baths is definitely worth a visit there was lots of lucky lucky men on the front at night selling cheap imitations who spend half there time packing up and running away when the local police patrol up and down which is quite funny to watch.

The pool at the rear of the property seems to have a lot of rules and regulations linked to it which somewhat hindered our time spent there and my kids found it quite boring .

The local bus service is poor and found it difficult to find out info of bus journeys and times as we didn't hire a car

Overall a lovely peaceful holiday which would be great for a couple looking for a rest but not much to do if you have children

The owner of the property always responded to any questions I may of had and also sorted some transfers for us at good prices

We equipped apartment in Grady locaton👍

When we initially arrived Friday evening we felt the property was a little isolated and that a car would be an advantage- but we soon found our bearing with the help of the guide book in the apartment and visited the nature reserve , 4 different beaches & 2 markets ( catching the bus to San Javier) a taxi to the main bars restaurants was €6.50 and because of e location we explored so much more than we probably would have done f it had been near the beach .The apartment was extremely well equipped & clean and the residents were friendly and helpful ( the owner even arranged for a transfer from the airport for us👍) the ice cream parlour (beer & delicious ice cream considering we aren't ice cream fans🍨🍦🍻🍸🍷)and the Garden centre ( serving beer & food) where our favourites. We had a lovely holiday the weather was amazing 36 most days and we would definitely love to return. Many thanks 😎☀️🍷🍻🍦🍸👍👏

relaxing location

arrived via Murcia Airport with a very short 10 mins or so taxi ride to apartment.

Very clean and tidy with everything we needed (4 of us) for our week stay.

Plenty of Cafes / bars within walking distance with local and international Supermarkets on our doorstep. Try Amigo's for a value for money British Meal day or night!!

There are Beaches in every direction to walk to (10 - 20 mins walk) with plenty of places to eat and drink , We actually hired bikes for one our days which was great fun!

We did enjoy the Pool area, very clean and well kept. Did get quite hot in the afternoons, but there are plenty of parasole umbrella's if required.

All in all we had a very relaxing time and the Apartment was ideally located, not too busy, but did allow you to venture further afield if desired,
