Spacious, comfortable centrally heated Edwardian house in a terrace of 5 houses along a private shared drive with parking for 2 cars. The front sitting room has an open fire and the rear sitting room has French doors opening onto the pretty south facing enclosed garden. Relax in the evening on the balcony with the wonderful views of the sunset over the sea. A great location. Within easy walking distance of the long sandy beach with its dunes and bird life. The restaurants, pubs, shop/Post Office and bus stop are within 400 yds or less. Dogs and children love it.

Fabulous house ,felt at home straight away. Everything I needed to cook a meal for 8 adults and 2 children who came to visit. Very warm and cosy with plenty of space to not be in each others way. Garden looks beautiful, would love to be back in the summer to use it. Beautiful wedding at Le Strange and the house was perfect location. So misty never actually got to see the sea. Lovely stay.

Notes on accommodation: The telephone only takes incoming and emergency calls. There is a rack with tourist information leaflets in the hall along with some books and games in the cupboard. Contact the owner for short stay tariffs. Outside: The front of the house has a covered porch the width of the house, good for leaving buckets and spades and rubbing down dogs before entering the front door. The house has full gas central heating. During the summer months there is a barbecue in the garden and there are chairs and a table on the lawn. There are chairs on the balcony from which you can sit and watch the magnificent sunsets over the sea. Parking for 2 cars is outside the front door in the private shared driveway, which is set back from the road and safer for dogs and children. Two well behaved dogs are permitted downstairs. Smoking is allowed in the garden. Hall and hallway with staircase. A good sized entrance hall with radiator and telephone. Hallway with cupboard under the stairs, coat hooks, a second fridge freezer near the Sun Room. Shower room leading off the hallway, with shower, washbasin and W.C. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is cleaned before arrival. Bed linen is included. Towels are only provided for people coming from abroad, with advance notification. Other: Spacious sun room (2nd sitting room) with dining chairs and table. Sofa and 4 arm chairs, Freeview TV and DVD player, lamps, coffee table. 4 windows and south facing French doors leading to the enclosed pretty garden.

One of the comfiest beds I have slept in. Thank you. House is well equipped particularly the kitchen, which has everything you could possibly ever need and more!

If you are looking for a modern holiday home with minimalist décor this is not the place for you. Check out the pictures as they are a fair representation of the rooms. My two adult children said it reminded them of a 'grandma's house' - but in a good way.

We were more than happy and it suited all our needs as the beach and two great pubs are a few short steps away and both are dog friendly.

Kite surfing can be done from the beach and there are courses held in Hunstanton.

Coast/Beach:

The long sandy beach with sand dunes and Lifeboat Station are 250 yds. easy walk away.

Travel:

Stansted or Norwich would be the nearest airports.

The nearest station is Kings Lynn. There is a bus from the station to Hunstanton where it is possible in the summer to catch the Coast Hopper Bus to the Post Office in Old Hunstanton - then walk down Sea Lane (400 yds) to Wodehouse Road.

It is possible to stay here without a car, although you could see more with one.

Distances:

The Post Office/General store is 400 yds away. Hunstanton main resort is 1 - 2 miles where you will find the supermarkets, banks, chemists etc. There you will find the Oasis Leisure and Sports Centre with heated indoor swimming pool, ten-pin bowling and squash courts. There are also grass tennis courts and croquet lawns on the recreation ground. Other attractions include the Sea Life centre, fun fair and amusement arcades.

Further Details:

The Royal Estate at Sandringham and the historic houses of Holkham Hall, and Houghton Hall with its famous collection of toy soldiers are all within easy reach by car.

The Norfolk Wildlife Trust Reserve at Holme can be reached by foot, it has a small cafe and provides some guided children's activities in the summer. A little further along the coast is the well known RSPB Titchwell bird reserve, which can be reached by the Coast Hopper Bus if you don't have a car.

Kite surfing can be done from the beach and there is a club in Hunstanton.

Booking Notes:
Contact by email to pandp.swift42@gmail.com or telephone 01223 290207 to enquire about a booking. Then details are sent to you and you will be asked to pay a deposit of £200 - then your reservation is secure. The balance is due 8 weeks before the holiday begins. A refundable security deposit of £200 is required which is not cashed unless the need arises. A further security deposit of £50 per dog is required on the same basis. Low occupancy discounts for weekly lets out of high season 15% for 3 or less, 10% for 4, £35 off for fortnightly lets. Pets are charged £25 each. If you require central heating between 1/5 and 30/9 there is a charge of £30 per week or £5 per day.

Changeover Day:
Changeover is on a Friday unless you have a short break (a min. of 3 days out of high season). Flexible dates over Christmas and the New Year. Arrival is from 4.00p.m. and we ask you to leave by 10.00a.m. Short stays available, except in high season.

Notes on prices:
Short stays are available out of high season. Please refer to the owner for the tariff, weekends are priced higher than midweek.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
