Fantastic time had by all !

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely holiday, as a family of four, with two young children we found the caravan, a good size, with all the facilities working and in good order The caravan park could do with a little updating, the playground especially, and the social club only opening 6.30pm in the evenings and closing on a Sunday on our last night on a Friday was a little strange, but not a major issue as we used the caravan as a base and explored the wonderful sites all around, this has access to wonderful beaches and Lands End.

I would like to just make a special mention to Phill, the owner, who was always on call and could pop down to sort out any small problem we had if needed, excellent service.

So the million dollar question is would we recommend, and without a doubt yes we would ! as a family we had a wonderful time.

Awesome holiday!

  • 4 of 5

For starters the caravan was immaculate, over, fridge, microwave, kitchen surfaces, shower/toilet were all spotless, including carpets Hoovered and floors clean, all you could smell in the caravan was fabric softener from the also spotlessly clean bedding. TV/DVD player, nice for late at night.

Didn't have a lot todo with the site amenities as we were to busy exploring the surrounding areas. The caravan for us was perfectly placed 1 mile walk from lands end which provides some stunning sunsets, sunset can also be seen from the lounge caravan window. A costcutter shop is extremely close by and well stocked there is also a fish and chip shop close by.

Only a short drive from Penzance. Which has a Tesco, Morrison, Sainsburys and Lidl. Also with a high street.

Loved the local areas, too many to name just pick a spot around the cost and you'll love it!!

And lastly the owner, lovely lady met us spot on the time we informed her we would arrive. Replied extremely quickly to messages, and the booking process was also very easy like you were talking to an old friend. We had a fantastic holiday, amazing value for money. We definitely will be going again and would highly recommend to anyone.

Thank you again.

Clean and comfortable caravan with great views

  • 4 of 5

The caravan is in a great location. Walking distance from Land's End and a local shop. The site has a children's and adults swimming pool and playground, although not too close to disturb the tranquility. The First and Last pub is about a 5 minute walk away. There are lovely walks along the cliffs to Land's End and beautiful Sennen Cove and some Poldark sets are within easy driving distance. The caravan is clean, bright and well equipped with a large TV for entertainment on wet days if you don't want to go out! I would definitely book this property again.

Perfect location

  • 4 of 5

The site was well kept and had all the amenities you could want. Sennen is quiet execpt in the summer when the weather is hot and then it is very busy. This makes the site perfect as it is a 10 minuite walk to the cove which otherwise is hard to park in during the summer.

It is near the Minack cliff theatre which has kids shows and other thestre shows in the summer. Book early. The playpark is good and the site had a quiet yet welcoming atmosphere to it.

The challet was in good condition and everything worked well. The view of the sunset from the living space window was great and you can see the fireworks at landsend without going out if you wanted to.

There was parking by the challet.

Swimming pool on site very cold but the one in Penzance is good and has fun sessions etc.

Would rebook. We had lots of fun on the nearby beaches.

Caravan is lovely, small but perfectly formed.

  • 3 of 5

I've tried to separate the caravan and it's owners, from the park it's on! We arrived out of peak season, late June, only to find that none of the park facilities were open out of peak season (this is mentioned on this site, but it was my fault I didn't read it before booking). The bowling, bar, restaurant and soft play, were not open. The pool was open, however the pool does not open on a Sunday (this was not known by the caravan owners) it opens 9-5 according to the sign on the pool, however if the people in the office decide to go home at 4 you're not allowed in. The attitude of most of the staff we encountered was awful to say the least. The launderette was shut for 10 days, though we had no way of knowing when the 10 days was up, as we don't know what date the sign went up. The nearest launderette was in Penzance - a good 10 miles away. The park was open and was pretty good, though it's seen better days, the zip line didn't go anywhere, and some of the equipment is in need of some TLC.

HOWEVER - the location is great, you'll get to a sea view from the lounge window. You can see a bit of the sea, and some lovely sunsets over the fields. So close to Landsend, and a great location for exploring nearby Porthcurno, and Sennen Beaches. Great fish and chip shop nearby and a lovely pub. Sennen is great for surfing with an amazing surf school.

What I enjoyed about the caravan was the immaculate condition of the things like the microwave and the kettle and the cooker - small things that often get overlooked. The equipment is great, tea towel, scourers and what looked like brand new frying pans and saucepans all added to a great experience.

Despite the difficulties with the park and the staff, I would definitely stay here again, and that's the only thing that stops me from giving it a higher rating. I would recommend it to friends and family, and the customer service from the owners was great, happy to answer all my pre-holiday questions. They put up with a disgruntled phone call on a Sunday when we discovered the pool was shut (as mentioned the owners weren't aware of this) and were happy to investigate and compensate for the inconvenience even though it wasn't their fault. The staff on the park could learn a thing or two from the owners of the caravan.
