Lovely spacious apartment close to the town, harbour and sea front

Located just a 10 minute walk to the harbour front and nearby beaches and town centre this ground floor apartment offers a superb location to explore the many delights of the English Riviera and surrounding area, including Dartmoor.

Sorrento offers a secluded and quiet position, with communal gardens and off street parking for one vehicle. There is additional off street parking for other vehicles nearby.

My aim is to provide guests with a comfortable ‘home from home’ experience at an affordable price.

The spacious apartment offers a large main reception room with luxurious leather sofas as well as a Sony Bravia 40” television with DVD player and a small selection of DVD’s as well as a collection of books.

Upon entering the apartment can be found the second reception room, with a dining table and further sofa, making this a perfect area for socialising.

The kitchen is equipped with all those must have appliances to include a large fridge/freezer, gas hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and the pots and pans you will need.

The apartment boasts high speed Wi-Fi broadband throughout, ensuring no internet withdrawal symptoms throughout guest stays!

Centrally heated throughout, Sorrento provides the perfect excuse for a year-round escape.

The delightful master bedroom offers a new (Nov 2016) King size bed with orthopaedic mattress, wardrobes, bedside cabinets and with an attached large modern en-suite comprising of a double size shower, WC and wash basin.

The second bedroom can be fitted out to the guest specification, either being a kingsize bed or two single beds.

From the hallway is a utility room with a washing machine and area to hang clothes. The attached main bathroom with an over bath shower, WC and wash basin.

Bed linen is provided for all beds and towels can also be provided at an extra cost.

Travel baby cot can also be provided if needed as well as a high chair.

Animals are welcome although this must be arranged prior to booking at a small additional cost.

Why Greg chose Torbay

Sorento works for me as it is easily accessible and once there is quiet and relaxing, yet just a short walk into the bustling harbour front.

Being a big fan of Dartmoor it is also just a short drive away as well.

I find the location is the best of all worlds and try and get down to Sorrento for that slice of of peace and quiet.

What makes this apartment unique

Sorrento is ideally situated just a short walk from the harbour front where you find a range of shops, restaurants and bars.

Torquay itself is a great location, nestled within the heart of the English Riveria and also, just down the road from Dartmoor which I would suggest should be explored.

Notes on accommodation: Ideally situated on the hill and a short walk to the harbour, town and sea front. Outside: Off street parking for one vehicle with additional street parking. The path runs from the parking area to the front door of the apartment, going past the communal gardens. Within the porch area of the apartment is space to kick off those boots or store any other pieces of kit you may bring with you. The porch has some additional seating which can be used either in the communal gardens or on the beach for basking in the glorious Torbay sunshine. Utility Room: Washing machine Clothes airer Iron and ironing board Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen is included. Apartment will be cleaned and ready for occupation. To keep costs down out of season towels are not routinely supplied. Out of season towels can be supplied at a cost of £10 for 4 people. During peak season towels are supplied.

Spacious, clean and well equipped apartment

We spent a week at the end of April in this apartment and can thoroughly recommend it as a wonderful base from which to explore the Torquay area. Not only is the lounge an inviting space to relax in, the bed was one of the most comfortable we have experienced. We both slept very well. This was our first visit to Torquay in many years and will definitely re-book this apartment when we decide to come again. We will also be recommending it to friends

Very relaxing three days away.

Very quiet and comfortable accommodation which was immaculate , well furnished and well equipped . Exactly as described in the information provided . I would recommend the property to friends and relatives [although we would rather keep it to ourselves ]. We had three restful days and would like to come again .Thank You.

The apartment was clean but the beds do need upgrading

The beds need upgrading and the 2 single beds only really suitable for children. The fuse box is situated in a dangerous place, when the lights fused it meant climbing onto the kitchen worktop to reset, I am sure a set of steps would be appreciated to help with this procedure. A welcome pack would be useful, with nearest supermarket, doctors and eating places etc. The kettle lid is broken and needs replacing.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. The two single beds are under a year old and are both standard singles. They are hotel style beds with the mattresses properly zipping together and when done so make a king size bed. The apartment is an old Georgian building and the fuse box is a modern style circuit breaker type. Unfortunately I have no control over where this is situated although it is accessible if required. In the drawer in the lounge are many leaflets for the area although I take on board regarding the doctors surgeries etc and will include this in future. Safety is a priority and the kettle has been replaced. Kind regards Gregg

Great holiday

Lovely spacious property, clean and with all the facilities you would expect to find. We had a small issue which was soon rectified by the owner providing the necessary instructions. Located at the top of a hill so you need to be fit or have a car. Lots to see and do in Torquay and the surrounding area and good public transport. Would be happy to return at some future date.
