“Perfect central location for stay in Laugharne. Comfortable and spacious. We loved it!”

5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by Carl W from Newport - April 2015

We stayed here over the Easter weekend with our two boys, aged 7 and 5. The owners had clearly thought cleverly about everything a young family would need. We were made to feel welcome by thoughtful gifts left for us. The owners were available and helpful when we needed them (before and during our stay) and discreetly out of the picture when we did not. The lounge area was big and comfortable and the kitchen was a light and spacious area well equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms were really nicely finished and there was a spacious outside area. The property was tucked away so there was a sense of privacy about our stay.

The location is perfect for a stay in Laugharne! The castle is a minute's walk away, and the seafront is on the doorstep. There are restaurants, cafes and a convenience store in the square round the corner and a child's play area at the back of the property. It suited all of us down to the ground. We are planning a return visit for sure.

Absolutely Fabulous

We are regular visitors to Laugharne and have stayed in many cottages. Little Avalon is a fabulous cottage, which is clean and well maintained and is right in the heart of the village. The cottage is situated in a quiet location with no passing traffic.

fabulous cottage

  • 5 of 5

Little Avalon was the perfect place for a few days break. The cottage is very comfortable and superbly furnished and provided with everything we could need. The Welsh tea provided by Andrew and Angela was a delicious treat. The cottage is in a great location in Laugharne and we enjoyed walks along the estuary and visited the Boat House. It is also a good base for visiting further afield. I will certainly recommend it to friends.

Our first time using a holiday rental. Simple and easy to understand directions and instructions. House spotlessly clean and well equipped (very child friendly). Complimentary, good quality, bottle of wine and cake left for us upon arrival. Private location, even though only stones throw from centre. Beautiful area to explore. Breakfast at Arthur's Restaurant was superb. Portreves Restaurant for evening meal very good. Will return to house.

superb cottage, ideal for families. wonderfully equiped and furnished

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful cottage, comfortable and beautifully furnished. A home from home. Could not think of any negative points. It was fabulously equipped and even had a bbq. We stayed with our 3 children and the owners even went to the trouble of getting an extra highchair and cot for our stay. Lovely garden, secure and safe for a family. Great location. Close to lovely beaches and all the attractions are close by. We will definitely return. We cant imagine we could find anywhere nicer to stay on our annual trip to west wales

Lovely, cosy cottage

  • 5 of 5

We Stayed here the 1st week off August and was pleasantly surprised to find such a lovely cosy cottage at the bottom off the path. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need to start you off .My daughter(17) did almost have heart failure when she realised that there was No wifi and i must admit i too was wondering how i was going to manage without it but as there are plenty of games to play we soon filled our evenings with playing them which was lovely .The beds are really comfy aswell as the pillows. Andrew catered for our need of an extra bed for our son which was fab.On our first night we had a stroll around the village which was lovely as everyone we met were so friendly and chatty. The fish and chips that are located in the square were amazing. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best but we did have some great days out at Saundersfoot, Tenby, Pendine and if you have children then Folly farm, Dinosaur world and heddington were worth the money. Next time we come to Wales we will defo stay again.
