“Perfect central location for stay in Laugharne. Comfortable and spacious. We loved it!”

5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by Carl W from Newport - April 2015

We stayed here over the Easter weekend with our two boys, aged 7 and 5. The owners had clearly thought cleverly about everything a young family would need. We were made to feel welcome by thoughtful gifts left for us. The owners were available and helpful when we needed them (before and during our stay) and discreetly out of the picture when we did not. The lounge area was big and comfortable and the kitchen was a light and spacious area well equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms were really nicely finished and there was a spacious outside area. The property was tucked away so there was a sense of privacy about our stay.

The location is perfect for a stay in Laugharne! The castle is a minute's walk away, and the seafront is on the doorstep. There are restaurants, cafes and a convenience store in the square round the corner and a child's play area at the back of the property. It suited all of us down to the ground. We are planning a return visit for sure.

Little Avalon aka Little Bit of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

A truly gorgeous cottage in a "Hovis" style pretty village. Little Avalon has everything you need to just up sticks and go. Spotlessly clean with a pretty little garden, a surprisingly large convenience store by the Mews. Fab pub grub just up the hill. We felt immediately at home. The views across the Taf so calming you just want to stay. Thank you Andrew ... a holiday let to be proud of.

Little Avalon, Laugharne.

  • 5 of 5

A very well equipped cottage refurbished to a high standard.Good quality furnishings, kitchen utensils, linen, towels and very comfortable all round.

DVD's, books and games aplenty. A lot of trouble taken to ensure good TV reception and very fast wi fi.

We arrived on a cool wet day to a warm welcome from Andrew who clearly cares about providing high standard accommodation.

The cottage is well situated with eating places and a shop less than 100 metres away.

Delightful Homely Cottage in Quiet Mews, Ideally Situated for Exploring Surrounding Areas

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Andrew & Angela for letting us stay in your delightful cottage 'Little Avalon'. The cottage, which stands at the end of a quiet mews, was immaculately clean, comfortable and contained everything we needed for our stay - and more. It is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area and we found the village of Laugharne very welcoming. Andrew answered all communication promptly and was very attentive, ensuring everything was ok for us without being intrusive. We particularly enjoyed our welcome pack which was much appreciated after a long drive! We will definitely be coming back to this lovely cottage when we return to Wales and once again, thank you to our hosts for all their help and hospitality which contributed to a great few days stay.

An inviting place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Hi!

We had a great week at the property, both the house and garden were kept to a high standard and the house, clean and well equipped. The décor and finer details really made it feel like a 'home from home'. There was a thoughtful 'welcome pack' which was very much appreciated and information available explaining about the house and local area. I would certainly recommend a stay at the property and hope to return one day soon ;-) Michael

I appreciated the interior design of the house, which radiates a friendly

and open atmosphere. I loved the well kept garden and plants and the old chestnut tree. I really enjoyed the carefully chosen selection of

books and CD's of and on Dylan Thomas. That gave me an intense

experience of the place we were at. Thank you very much, Mieke

Thanks again
