Great Cottage with amazing Sea views

  • 5 of 5

We initially liked the look of this cottage on the Internet due to it's location in Mousehole and the sea views depicted in the listing. However, the pictures actually don't do the views any justice as they are simply stunning. We spent many relaxing hours sitting in the garden looking out to sea with a glass of Wine. The cottage itself is very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. David and Christine have done a very good job of furnishing the cottage and is extremely well maintained. The off road parking provided with the cottage is key in Mousehole. We can't recommend this cottage and owners highly enough and we will definitely be returning at some point in the not too distant future.

Romantic setting

  • 5 of 5

We were visiting family in Mousehole and booked Trevean Cottage for its convenient location and the parking - at a PREMIUM in Mousehole. The cottage was immaculately clean, had everything we needed and we enjoyed the privacy of the terrace and wonderful sea views. David and Christine made us very welcome - the extras (wine, biscuits, milk) were welcome after the drive from Exeter airport. We live in Donegal, where we enjoy beautiful scenery but the views from the cottage, taking in St. Michael's Mount and Mousehold Island were impressive. We would not hesitate to recommend Trevean Cottage to friends or family. Hazel and Dermot

All home comforts, stunning views

  • 4 of 5

Compact well equipped accommodation for 2, beatifully clean ,well heated and with comfortable bed. A warm welcome from helpful owner who lives on site.Lovely sea and town views from private garden. Own parking, rare in Mousehole.

This must be the prettiest harbour in Cornwall, full of activity and history. There are plenty of places to eat out and interesting galleries to browse. I especially enjoyed walking on coastal paths and local lanes, awash with flowers in early summer.

Highly recommended for a peaceful location in a popular village.

Beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

Me and my partner stayed at Trevean Cottage last week. The location was perfect and the views were stunning. We were fortunate to have good weather during our stay, and it was lovely to relax in the garden with a glass of wine, trying to spot seals on the little island in front! On one evening we were able to watch gannets diving around the island. The owners made us feel extremely welcome, and the cottage has everything necessary for 2 people. The offroad parking is also a big bonus in Mousehole! The cottage is ideally located for exploring Mousehole, the coastal paths, Penzance, St. Ives etc.

The Ship Inn pub is a local pub right by the harbour but is very welcoming and does great food. i would recommend the seafood platter! The Old Coastguard hotel is also good and has a lovely garden with sea views. If you are into wildlife I would recommend going on the Marine Discovery boat trip from Penzance. This 3-4 hour trip on a sailing catamaran takes you all the way down the coast to landsend (on a good day!) looking for dolphins, seabirds, basking sharks, whales, seals etc. The skipper is extremeely passionate and knowledgeable and it felt a lot more personal than usual wildlife watching trips. April is meant to be a bit hit and miss but we still managed to see over 15 different species when we went, and saw the first common dolphins of the year!

The boat also took us around the little island that you look over from Trevean cottage and we saw a seal, oyster catchers, shags, cormorants, gulls, and a whole host of other birds.

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway for 2, I would whole heartedly recommend Trevean Cottage :-)
