Apartment in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote, Canary Islands - Poolside Location On Peaceful Atalaya Complex. Quiet Location 3 Minutes Walk To The Promenade

This 1 bedroomed apartment was refurbished throughout in a contemporary style in 2015, with new furniture, bedding and modern bathroom. It is on the ground floor on a popular, peaceful complex in central Puerto del Carmen. Within 3 minutes walk you can be on the seafront promenade, where there are restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. The terrace is large and has sun for most of the day - it looks over the pool and gardens and is a lovely place to relax. The apartment has a large open plan living / dining / kitchen area, and a separate bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave / grill and hob, and has a washing machine. The modern lounge has a large L-shaped sofa, a large flat screen TV, DVD player, DVDs and books. The new fully tiled bathroom has a large walk in shower and new washbasin and vanity unit. We provide good quality towels and a hairdryer. The separate bedroom has comfortable twin beds, with quality bedding, lots of storage, mirror and a fan. The apartment has been tastefully decorated in neutral tones, and has lots of decorative touches. Next door to the complex is a well stocked supermarket, and there is plenty of on street parking.

About the Owner

The apartment is managed personally by Gill Pegge, assisted by her husband and daughter. Gill worked as a manager in several 4 and 5* hotels in the UK before moving to the beautiful island of Lanzarote in 2012. Being on the island allows Gill to meet and greet guests, make sure they are familiar with the apartment’s facilities, as well as passing on advice and recommendations to enhance their holidays. Being on the island also allows Gill to very quickly sort out any problems which guests may have. Gill has a passion for Lanzarote and has never had a more enjoyable 'job' than making sure that guests have a relaxing and memorable holiday.

The apartment was very central, it's was very clean and had everything you needed and more. I loved the shower/wet room. The pool was lovely and the whole complex quiet and peaceful. We will be back very soon.

Fantastic Christmas Holiday!

We had an amazing holiday made all better by this lovely apartment which was spotless and modern. The photos were exactly as the apartment is and all of our expectations were managed. Fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from the main strip but a very peaceful location with a Spar supermarket very conveniently situated very close by. It was lovely to be met by Gill at the airport for our transfer to the apartment and we would thoroughly recommend anyone arrange this with Gill as it was all so quick and easy. The resort itself is lovely, we hired bicycles and followed the cycle tracks in both direction as far as we could go; found some lovely beach bars which were extremely relaxed even though Silent Night was blaring out on Christmas day!; ate in many lovely restaurants and took a day trip to Playa Blanca. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and if we are lucky enough to be able to take another Christmas break again then we would not hesitate to come back here as we had an absolutely fantastic holiday (we were blessed with brilliant sunshine most of the time and warm temperatures). Thank you very much Gill for all your help prior to our trip and for our transfers.

Wonderful relaxing holiday

Gill met us at the airport and took us to the apartment which was exactly as described on the site. It was lovely to have a washing machine and not arrive home with stacks of washing! The Spar next door was well stocked and prices were very good. The site was quiet and peaceful ( but the pool was a little cool!)

and conveniently situated for "the front" with its numerous bars and restaurants.

Hopefully we will return in 2016!

Excellent all round apartment

The booking process was so easy and the Pegges offered airport transfers and food packs which made the start of our holiday begin so smoothly. The apartment was well furnished and decorated to a high standard and had everything we could wish for. We liked the bathroom which had a wet room shower area. This is apartment is on the ground floor and when we sat out on the patio we had lots of lovely hellos from the other holidaymakers, it was a very friendly place. The sunbed area was only a few steps from our patio and that was ideal. The apartment is ideally located with a spar virtually next door. The road comes out opposite the Casino which is in the middle of the strip so was in a very central location. We did do a couple of walks both going left towards the airport and right to the old town. There is a good bus network and the taxis are cheap and plentiful.

We would certainly recommend this apartment.

Lanzarote has year round sunshine and blue skies. Puerto del Carmen has something for everyone, including the best choice of restaurants and bars we have ever come across, and the ambiance and variety of the resort’s facilities appeals to guests of all ages. The Atalaya Complex is secure, quiet and friendly and isn’t used by tour companies, so you don’t have the noise and activity of some of the larger complexes. The apartments on this complex are a good size and are light and airy.

Puerto del Carmen has 6km of stunning beaches. A 3 minute walk brings you to the promenade where you can turn left or right and take your pick of quiet rocky coves, or the expansive, golden Playa Grande with sunbeds, pedalos, water sports and diving facilities.


Lanzarote's Arrecife Airport is about 10 minutes' drive from the apartment. A taxi costs about 15 euros. If you're hiring a car, it's an easy 10 minute drive to the apartment and there is ample parking directly outside the complex. Car hire isn't necessary, as all of Puerto del Carmen's amenities are on the doorstep. There is also a bus stop and taxi rank within 3 minutes walk.


The apartment is very centrally located in Puerto del Carmen. Lanzarote is a small island and you can drive from one end to the other in just over an hour. We have an extensive selection of leaflets, maps and guides in the apartment, giving you lots of ideas for outings and activities.

Further Details:

Within 10 minutes stroll along the promenade you can eat in Spanish, Canarian, English, Chinese, Thai, Indian, Italian, Tex-Mex and many other restaurants. There is a wide variety of shops, bars and supermarkets along the promenade. There is a spa close by. Lots of ATM's along the promenade. Doctor's surgery close by. Puerto del Carmen 'Old Town' is a 20 minute stroll along the promenade. There you will find great fish restaurants with stunning views over the harbour.

Most of our guests comment that complex is in a fantastically convenient location. Guests just love the peacefulness and tranquillity of the apartment and are amazed that you can walk to the lively main promenade in just 3 minutes. Also, being only a 10 minute journey from the airport makes transfers very easy. Having a well stocked supermarket next to the complex is also very handy.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is fully equipped for a very comfortable stay, with many extras above and beyond standard holiday accommodation. The apartment's location is stunning - the complex is so quiet and peaceful, yet so close to the main area of the promenade. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment. We live in Lanzarote, and manage the property personally, being easily on hand in case of any queries. Outside: The apartment's large sunny terrace is a relaxing place to sit. It has a table and chairs with cushions. It gets sun for most of the day. There is a clothes dryer. The apartment looks over the large communal pool, which is cleaned each morning. The pool is surrounded by lots of loungers and beautifully maintained gardens with tropical bougainvillea, hibiscus, oleander and cacti. There is a small separate kids pool. No lifeguard. The pool is a quiet area - no bar or entertainment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bathroom towels and all bed linen provided. Cleaning before and after rental is included. For stays of 10+ nights, property will be cleaned and linen changed midway through your stay. Other: South facing & spacious terrace with sun for much of the day. Table and chairs with cushions so that you can enjoy outdoor dining.
