If you love going for walks in the hills, if you want to be able to set out every day and discover yet another corner of Tuscany, if you are longing for peace and quiet ... a stay at Querceto is something you should not miss! A memorable place steeped in a timeless atmosphere.
Castello Ginori di Querceto is part of our family, the noble florentine family Ginori Lisci, for over 2 centuries. In the last 20 years we (me, my aunt, my uncle and my 3 cousins) have promoted many projects in order to make this tiny village and its huge agricultural enterprise an integral part of the local economy with its thriving winery, its charming apartments and one of the first biogas plant built in Italy.
We all love Querceto not only because it's part of our family's history, but because it's a unique place. Here everything seems to have a different value: when you arrive at Querceto suddenly you get used to certain colours, sounds and scents that you can't find in the caothic cities. You feel yourself propelled in a nearly surreal atmosphere and dimension .. From here everything seems to have a different value!
We think that the most distinctive feature of this charming village is its authenticity noticeable in every detail: the stones of the old houses, the small squares with stunning views, the untouched natural surroundings, the smile of the inhabitants...

This is a perfect place to spend a couple of days, far away from civilization. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can choose your room from a few of them. We stayed at L'Atessa - 3 bedroom apartment with spacious livingroom and a kitchen. Apartment nicely prepared with style and taste - you still feel the medieval atmosphere.
Step outside the apartment and you became a time-traveler to mid-ages. Grab a cup of coffe or glass of wine and spend some time at the beautiful sunset lanscape from the top of the mountain.

The drive up the road to the villa is enchanting. The staff and residents are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our first night we were invited to the Saturday night pizza party with the locals. The villa is also a cultural centre offering music, singing and cooking classes. One night we were treated to beautiful guitar playing by the students while tasting the wine. The local restaurant and wine is excellent. The salt water infinity pool is a 5 minute walk offering beautiful views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a magical experience that we will remember forever!
