Large beautifully furnished air-conditioned house within its own fenced gardens including private saline pool (10x5 metre) and ample parking under the pines. The property has a spacious feel with a living room, kitchen, dining room and large hallway. A south facing terrace looks over the pool area and comes complete with outdoor seating, sunbeds and barbecue. A separate apartment is available with its own kitchen, living room,double bedroom and en suite. (Both the main house and the apartment can be rented separately but would not be rented at the same time to different groups). Fantastic views over the countryside and the nearest village where you can find a small supermarket, shops bars and restaurants. The cities of Malaga,Cordoba, Granada and Seville are all in easy driving distance. Even closer is the historic town of Antequera and its golf course. Extremely peaceful surroundings with lots to do just on your doorstep.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

One hours drive from the beaches of Malaga and the bays and chiringuitos of the Costa Tropical are another 30 minutes along the east coast.

El embalse de Iznajar is 20 minutes drive from the villa, in July and August pedalos and kayaks are available for hire and there are two beach bars and a sandy beach.

Travel:

Malaga and Granada airports are 1 hours drive.

Seville airport is 2.5 hours away.

Car hire is essential for this area.

Distances:

La Loma is well placed to use as a base to visit the cities of Malaga, Granada, Cordoba and Seville.

The picturesque village of Iznajar and its lake is 20 minutes drive away and the nearest village of Villanueva de Algaidas is a few minutes drive or 20 on foot.

Ronda is also fairly close at 1.5-2 hours drive.

Antequera is 30 minutes drive away and worth a visit.

Further Details:

Villanueva de Algiadas has a good selection of bars and restaurants and a fairly comprehensive supermarket in Mascoms (Don't be deceived by its small entrance!).

If you don't mind taking a drive there are good restaurants and tapas bars in Iznajar and one of the best hotels in Andalucia 30 minutes away with restaurant to match.

Antequera has the nearest large supermarket/shopping centre, if you have time (and space) before you arrive it's probably a good idea to call in here to do your main shop, if you are arriving late there will be a welcome pack with essentials and seasonal fruit.

Notes:

  • Outside: La Loma has beautiful gardens surrounding the villa and wonderful views from it's hilltop location. There is a large sun terrace with loungers and shade (if needed) from the False Pepper and Melia trees. The saline pool is 10x5M and not overlooked (apart from a few Olive trees) . There is a shaded area and plenty of space surrounding the pool to place sun loungers and play games. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa is cleaned once a week and fresh towels and linen provided.
