Lovely setting, lovely lodge - chilled!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a short but very relaxing stay at Clwydian Lodge. The directions provided took us right to the property where we were greeted by the owner. The four of us stayed (2 adults, 2 kids) for 3 nights and after each day of exploring parts of North Wales and Chester we returned early enough so the kids could enjoy running around, kicking a ball, climbing and swinging in the play area and generally getting lots of fresh air and exercise.

The property itself supplied all that we could need, the beds and living area were comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern and the kitchen provided with all the essentials and a bit more.

The views from the kitchen and patio area are of fields and hills without a hint of road noise given the relatively remote situation - nothing better than a glass of wine, a view and the tweet of wagtails and blackbirds.

I'd happily recommend this place as within 10-15 minutes you could be in a town to pick up and supplies you may need - more wine!
