A warm and welcoming riverside property in the centre of the popular village of Callander. The house is bright and warm and offers a very comfortable base for holidays in this beautiful part of Scotland. The house is well furnished with both traditional and modern furniture. There are two solid fuel fires and central heating throughout. Most of the rooms in the house have riverside views and a wide range of local wildlife can be enjoyed. Large garden with riverside frontage. There is ample parking on a private drive. Ideal for large groups. WiFi is available throughout. Places of interest nearby include the stunning Bracklinn Falls, Callander meadows and the Callander golf club. The area is ideal as a base for walking or cycling holidays and to visit nearby Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine, where you could take a trip across the loch on the steamboat Sir Walter Scott. There is a leisure/sports centre and swimming pool within easy walking distance. Callander has many popular restaurants and bars.

Fantastic Family Holiday in Wonderful Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at beautiful Avonbeith. Great facilities and our toddler loved running around such a big house! Fantastic location for visiting the Stirling area - and was the perfect combination of being quiet and relaxing with a great location by the river yet walking distance to local amenities and close to major transport links. Callander is a lovely town and Anne was more than happy to answer our random questions when we arrived. We've already been talking about going back to stay again! Thanks for a great holiday.

À magnificent house in a great environment

We highly recommend this property: a perfect place for our summer holidays in Scotland. We were 2 families with 6 children, and everybody was delighted ! A very peaceful place, an amazing garden, wich is safe for the kids. All commodities nearby. One of our best holidays memory! Thank you Anne for your welcome.

Lovely, large, comfortable house on beautiful location

Our extended family enjoyed a lovely holiday in Callander which is a very friendly town (with at least one terrific bakery). The house is clean, spacious, well-equipped and comfortable and there are numerous fabulous walks - from easy to more strenuous - straight from the house. There's also so many places to visit within half an hour. A very relaxing stay from day one. Would recommend without reservation.

Beautiful home in an idyllic location!

WOW! I cannot fault this home or our stay in Callander. We stayed over the Christmas period and loved it. The house is in a picturesque setting almost as if taken from a painting, right next to the river edge with the Scottish mountains covered in snow in the backdrop. The house is very spacious with ample size for 10 adults with most bedrooms having a view of river or the mountains.

Avonbeith house is set in an ideal location with close proximity to the stops for late night chocolate runs and last minute christmas supplies and we very much enjoyed the live music on christmas eve in the local pub- not to be missed!

The spacious utility room was perfect for muddy paws, with ample room for the dogs.

If I could fault the house it would be the weak wifi signal which made it difficult for those working over the christmas period, but this is really very minor.

Such a beautiful house and we would definitely stay again!

Family get together in spacious holiday house

We spent a very happy week at Avonbeith late October with 4 adults and 6 children. The house was very spacious with no feeling of being on top of each other. The beds were very comfy and the open plan dining room and lounge allowed for a TV, reading and games all to take place at the same time. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had no problems catering for our group and the long dining table gave many special meal times together. The view of the river and surrounding country side was better than the pictures showed - we saw local fly fishing and salmon jumping from the back garden!

Callander is an ideal place to be based. The town has all the shops you need for food as well as gifts. There are local bike routes with bike hire (bring bikes if you can) in the town and numerous walks - we particularly enjoyed the walks around Bracklinn Falls. On wet days we used the local sports centre. We also went on trips to Lake Katrine and Glasgow.

A holiday in Avonbeith is highly recommended - we hope to be back!
