Thank you for looking at our entry. We hope that you will book to stay in our home and have a great time. We love living here in Cheltenham and would be delighted if you fell in love with the area too. Our home is a modern semi-detached 5 bedroom house on a private estate at the western edge of Cheltenham. The area is quiet and the community tends to gather around the park which is enclosed. Most of the neighbours are young families and there are almost always kids kicking a ball around in the park. A short walk away you will find supermarkets and WholeFood shops. You will also find buses to Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Gloucester close by. There is a Beefeater a short walk away and then a little further some lovely pubs and restaurants. If you are visiting in the winter and lucky enough to be snowed in then you won't go short of provisions! Cheltenham is a great base for exploring, especially The Cotswolds, The Malverns and a little further away Herefordshire and South Wales while being only 45 minutes from Bristol, Birmingham, Oxford and Swindon. London is a couple of hours away and there are direct train and bus services to London and Heathrow airport from Cheltenham and Gloucester. While Cheltenham is in the centre of the country there are watersports nearby at Cotswolds Water Park and beaches about an hour away at Weston Super-Mare (although we tend to head for Ogmore in South Wales). We supply towels and bedding for you and we will leave each guest some toiletries. We have recently refurbished our house to extend the living accommodation and add a new en-suite bathroom. This means that we have two very comfortable en -suite bedrooms. Each of our double bedrooms can be arranged as either a double or as a twin room so our accommodation is very flexible indeed. Briefly you will find - at street level - we have a good sized kitchen and living room. There is also a ground floor single bedroom with step-free access. On this floor there is also a toilet. On the first floor we have 2 double (or twin) rooms, one with en suite, another single bedroom and a family bathroom. Located on the top floor you will find our comfortable master bedroom, again with en suite facilities. We have a spacious back garden which is laid mainly to decking and makes for a great place to have a glass of wine in the evening and relax to the sound of the fountain. The garden can be reached through the living room and the kitchen. In addition to television in the living room all of the bedrooms have televisions too. We have wireless Fibre optic Internet access and Satellite TV. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and you will have pots and pans, plates etc. We also have a washer/dryer in this room.

Cheltenham is renowned as a festival town with Jazz, Music, Science, Film and the longest-running Literature Festival in the country. New this year is the Cheltenham Design Festival which was held at the Parabola Arts Centre, Cheltenham Ladies College in April.

Cheltenham has the added advantage of being the gateway to the charming Cotswolds, the glorious Severn and Wye valleys and the majestic Malvern Hills to the west. Shakespeare's birthplace and home of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford-upon-Avon is under an hours a drive away. Hidcote, Sezincote , Snowshill and Kiftsgate are amongst many famous gardens nearby with Sudely Castle just north of the town.

Location Information: The Cotswolds are a range of hills in west-central England, sometimes called the 'Heart of England'. The name Cotswold means 'sheep enclosure in rolling hillsides”. The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone 'wool churches'. The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops. Cotswold towns include Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway, Burford, Chipping Norton, Cirencester, Moreton-in-Marsh, Northleach, Stow-on-the-Wold, Stroud and Winchcombe. The town of Chipping Campden is notable for being the home of the Arts and Crafts movement, founded by William Morris at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries.

    Cancellation:
    For a 100% refund, cancellation must be made 21 days prior to 3:00pm on the day of check in.
    For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made 20 to 14 days prior to 3:00pm on the day of check in.
    Cancellations made with less than 14 days’ notice are not eligible for any refund.


    Changeover Day:
    Changeover days are flexible. Bookings are subject to a 2 night minimum stay; except during the Cheltenham Gold Cup race meeting, when it is 4 nights and Christmas/New Year when it is 4 nights. Check in after 3:00pm and check out before 11:00am
