There are panoramic views to the sea and Souda Bay, and beautiful views to the White Mountains, and the lovely surrounding landscape. A large private plot of approx. 1500 sqm with a mature garden of flowers and trees and a huge lawn, complements the pool, outdoor kitchen, and numerous terraces to be enjoyed on long summer days and evenings. The property is part of the small, gated exclusive development of Almyrida Views, one of the best in the area.

About the Owner

I'm half Greek (from western Crete) and half Norwegian. I speak fluent English, Norwegian, and Greek, and have lived and worked on Crete for many years but now reside in Norway. I have been running Almyra Villarentals since 2010 with rental properties on many islands. My previous background is foreign exchange brokerage, import and distribution of interior decoration, and real estate sales and development on Crete. I have chosen the properties with which I work based on my personal and selective criteria for a perfect holiday villa. This amazingly beautiful island and its people always make me look forward to coming back and I am fortunate enough to be able to spend the entire summer working there. Apokoronas is one of the most beautiful and greenest regions of the western part of Crete. Lying at the foot of Lefka Ori (The White Mountains), the region is known for its beautiful nature, many sandy beaches, picturesque villages, the mountains, amazing canyons, and fresh water springs.

Plaka village has a good supermarket for essentials.

Beaches

The popular beach of Almyrida is located in the heart of the village and is one long sandy and shingle beach as well as a smaller shelter cove. There are also amenities nearby.

The next and larger village of Kalyves, has a fine sandy beach, and a larger selection of shops, restaurants, and services.
