About this property

Berritta, located on a 30-hectare private property, is an original basalt stone hunting lodge once part of the 15th century feudal property belonging to the Barons of the area. Berritta has been meticulously restored to offer charming accommodations: 2 double bedrooms each with its own beautiful en suite marble baths.Upstairs is a low-ceiling, cozy loft with 3 single beds and 1 marble bath.The bamboo and chestnut ceilings are in the original Sardinia style.The spacious living room has a fireplace, tasteful antique furnishings, a full kitchen and dining area, and spectacular views of the property. In front of the lodge is a basalt stone terrace with teak dining table. In the back there is a garden area with lounge chairs and an enclosed laundry area. Berritta is perfect for getting away from it all even off-season while offering close proximity to the beach and the center of town. Great for beach swimming until late Oct - outdoor activities all year around.

A warm introduction to Sardinia

All our communications with Stefano (and Vanna the housekeeper) were warm and welcoming. This was our first visit to Sardinia and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hunting lodge, which had everything we needed for self-catering. Bottles of both red and white local wines were available in the lodge to purchase, which made the perfect accompaniment to meals. Located in a lovely rural setting, yet just minutes from Orosei, with good supermarkets and restaurants and easy access to the beach, it was perfectly situated, and ideal for anyone looking for a quiet break or as a base from which to explore the island. With temperatures in the high 20's all week, we couldn't have asked for more.

Video Misleading

We enjoyed our stay at Berrita but we're disappointed by the video that led us to believe you could walk from the property across a bridge and though some bush land to the beach in minutes. This was definitely NOT the case! You had to drive to the beach which was at least ten minutes away, so "close to the sea" and "minutes to the beach" we're not accurate descriptions. The dishwasher was broken and not fixed during our stay which was also a disappointment.

Ruhiges und gemütliches Landhaus

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne erholsame Zeit in Orosei! Das Haus liegt wunderbar friedlich in einem einsamen Tal, aber man ist in ein paar Minuten im Ort, wo dann genug los ist. Das Haus ist supergemütlich und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, wirklich so, wie alles auf dem Bildern aussieht. Es ist sauber und sehr gepflegt. Die Betten und Bäder sind tip top und die Küchenecke ist gut ausgestattet. Die zwei Schlafzimmer unten haben eine Klimaanlage, die wir auch dringend brauchten, denn in der Zeit, wo wir da waren, war gerade eine Hitzewelle. Wenn dann aber der Wind um das Haus geht, hält man es auch bei Hitze im Garten sehr gut aus. Im Haus haben alle Fenster und Türen Moskitonetze, so dass man im Haus keine Mücken hat, wenn man die Haustür immer schnell zumacht. Wunderschöne Umgebung mit einem so großen Grundstück, dass man keine anderen Häuser sieht und auch niemanden hört. Toll zum Entspannen! In der Hauptsaison muss man schon ein wenig suchen, um Strandabschnitte zu finden, die nicht so voll sind, aber die Auswahl ist groß. Toll ist es, wenn man ein motorisiertes Schlauchboot mietet (am besten in Cala Gonone, auch wenn die Fahrt durch die Berge lang ist, aber es lohnt sich, weil man dann nach Norden den schönsten Küstenabschnitt vor sich hat), ist aber mit 280€ pro Tag plus ca.35-50€ Sprit nicht gerade billig. Wenn man Essen gehen will, sollte man in der Hautsaison (Mitte August) immer vorher reservieren, denn es ist alles sehr voll. Die Organisation ( Buchung, Bestätigung, Zahlung, Einchecken, etc) lief alles super, der Vermieter ist wirklich sehr nett und die Hauskeeperin Vanna eine sehr liebe herzliche Frau, sie spricht allerdings nur Italienisch. Aber dafür ist Stefanos Englisch super. Sein Wein (er baut ihn selber an) liegt im Haus im Regal und kann gekauft werden, sehr lecker! Also bloß keinen Wein im Supermarkt kaufen! We had a wonderful time in your house and we really recommend it! Thank you Stefano!

Wundervolles Beritta

Berritta ist so wundervoll wie es sich auf den Bildern präsentiert. Eine friedliche ruhige Oase um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Wir, vier Erwachsene und ein Kind, hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Haus. Von der herzlichen Begrüssung durch die Haushälterin bis zur Verabschiedung hat alles gepasst. Ebenfalls die Reservation, Buchung Bezahlung und Depot Rückerstattung haben einwandfrei funktioniert. Wir können Berritta nur wärmstens empfehlen. Einzig zu erwähnen, dass man motorisiert sein sollte um zum Haus zu gelangen. Wir sind total happy mit unserem Urlaub und kommen bestimmt wieder. Karen und Peter
