I'm Angela the owner of this lovely bungalow. We named the bungalow Bella Ora which means beautiful time in Italian. My late father was Italian I wanted to have a name which one reminded me of him and two which simple said it all. I have a big family and love spending holidays walking and being by the sea, hence my reason for purchasing this wonderful place.

Just had a really nice holiday in this lovely bungalow ,beautifully clean, very comfy, has just about everything you need home from home. Bella Ora lived up to all we had hoped. It is spacious, clean, well equipped and situated in a quiet area. The front garden is grassed and secure, safe for small children, there is a small sheltered decked area to the back with table and chairs, it's a sun trap and lovely to relax in. There is a sea view from the sitting room window, access to the beach is a good five minute walk either way to get access down the cliff. At the end of the road is a bakery well worth a visit. We had a lovely holiday at Bella Ora and would definitely recommend it. Barnes family - Nottingham

This is a lovely spacious Bungalow with everything you need for a relaxing weeks holiday. It is clean and tidy and well presented. All the bedrooms are of a good size and the beds are very comfortable. The 2 bathrooms are very handy when there are 4 or more staying. one has shower and one has a bath, so it caters for everyone. there is a well equipped kitchen with everything you need. The lounge area is spacious with comfortable seating and a good view over the sea. There is good seating areas both front and back, with the back being a perfect suntrap.

The front has a large grassed area which was ideal for our little Yorkie to have a good run around. The owners Angela and Steve were there to meet us and make us most welcome and showed us around the bungalow. The area is nice and quite with a few shops at the end of the road, Fish and chips, Chinese and a pub nearby, all worth a visit. And there is a bakers at the end of the lane, when you smell the bread you just have to go in.

All in all a perfect bungalow and place to stay. Highly Recommended !!!!

We first bought a chalet on the California Sands site and had many years of enjoyable holidays with our 3 young children. As we loved the area so much we decided to buy a property here with the intention of moving here full time. When we first saw the bungalow it needed totally renovated but we fell in love with the spot where it was and knew we could make it into something special for us as a family. My husband Steve spent a year renovating the bungalow and making it into a lovely home making sure it had everything we would need as a family. Unfortunately due to the children being settled in their schools we decided not to move here but to enjoy Bella Ora as our holiday home and rent it out during the summer season. We have many regular customers who return year after year.

Activity and Interests


Long sandy beach approx 5 minute walk. Accessible by sandy slope or steps. Other sandy beaches are close by if using a car ie Hemsby, Sea Paling, Winterton on Sea, Great Yarmouth, Lowesoft and Southwold.


Nearest Airport is Norwich 18 miles.


Hemsby is about one mile from the bungalow which offers plenty of shops, takeaways, restaurants and a lovely sandy beach.

Great Yarmouth is four miles away with its vast array of facilities including shopping centres, theatres, piers and funfairs. Great Yarmouth race course, Greyhound stadium and stock car racing are a few miles away.

Scratby offers a relaxing holiday with all the essential amenities for a glorious holiday with miles and miles of wide sandy beach which is great for surfing.

The city of Norwich set in the heart of East Anglia is approximately eighteen miles from the Bungalow and is one of the top places to shop and visit the many historic buildings.

Booking Notes:
Email owner. £75.00 deposit is required (per week or part week) (non refundable). The remainder of your holiday must be paid 6 weeks before your holiday start date. For holidays booked less than 8 weeks before, full payment is required. A damage/cleaning deposit of £100.00 cash is required on arrival at the bungalow, this will be returned to you at the end of your holiday minus the electricity you have used on condition everything is ok on inspection of bungalow.

Changeover Day:
Holidays are for 7 nights only, Saturday to Saturday except for any special offers or short breaks we may advertise. Arrival time is 2pm and departure is between 10.30am to 11am.

Notes on prices:
Payments by Bank Transfer or Cheques.

  • Notes on accommodation: Free Wifi. Oil central heating is inclusive of the price. Electricity is by key meter, this can average between £5 to £15 per week, depending on your usage. Payable at the end of your stay. Dogs are welcome for a small fee, please enquire. Couples and families, no groups of under 21. Outside: The patio doors from the lounge lead onto the outside decking overlooking the enclosed front garden. The garden is mostly lawned with a few apple and pear trees. In the kitchen area there are french doors onto outside decking which is fully enclosed with table and chairs and washing line. The outside areas are ideal for children and dogs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Duvets and pillows are provided for all beds. All you need to bring are sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases. These can be provided on request for £25.00 for all beds to be made up for your arrival. Towels are not provided so please bring your own. Other: Entrance porch with coat hooks and space for shoes etc
