Apartment in Central Kalkan - Central location on popular Mediterranean Complex. Close to shops, 5 mins walk to harbour

“Guzel” meaning beautiful is to be found in the Mediterranean Apartments complex. This property is surrounded by stunning bougainvillea, which is a delight to see, and is frequently photographed by passers by. Although only a few minutes’ walk from the centre, this apartment is in a quiet spot. It is a prime position for people who enjoy relaxing in picturesque gardens. From the two balconies and roof terrace, you can enjoy stunning views overlooking the olive groves, harbour of Kalkan as well as the old town and Taurus Mountains. There are 5 swimming pools on the property, so there is plenty of choice. Sun loungers are provided for guests. I would not consider this apartment suitable for children under the age of 12 years old or for people with disabilities due to the fact that this is on the top floor.

Near to Kalkan’s harbour, you will find a pepple beach,Indigo Beach Club is also in the harbour area. Mahal and other beach clubs can be reached by a free taxi boat service. Kalamar Beach Club offers a free taxi service.Kapatus Beach with its turquoise blue sea takes 10 – 15 minutes by bus, or there is Patara’s long sandy beach 18 kms in all, which can be reached by bus or taxi. This takes about 15 minutes.


The nearest airport is Dalaman which is around 1.5 hours transfer time away. We can arrange airport transfers or car hire for you. Prices for 2015 are: 1-3 people £60 each way, or 4 people £85 each way. Flights leave the UK from various airports with Saturday and Monday being the main changeover day.I would recommend using Enes Car Hire.


The centre of Kalkan is just a 2 minute walk, so there is no need for taxis or car hire unless you wish to go further afield. The picturesque town of Kas is the nearest and takes about 25 minutes travelling time. A regular bus service runs daily. The much larger town of Fethiye, takes about an hour to reach. In Kalkan all shops, banks and supermarkets are within easy walking distance.Some as close as 2 minutes walk.

Further Details:

Kalkan has many lovely roof top restaurants, where you can wine and dine in style. Food is excellent. Enjoy an evening stroll by the harbour, or shopping in the boutiques and shops on the main street in the village.If you want to get out of Kalkan though,I would recommend the fish farms,which are in the hills.Renowned for their fresh tout,although other items are to be found on the menu.You will need a taxi to get there.If one wants to experience some true home cooking,then I would suggest going to Camping Kalkan on the Kas Road.This little easy going, inexpensive restaurant,is owned and run by a very friendly Turkish gentleman named Jusuf and his wife.Her cooking is excellent.Just take into consideration,this is completely different from anything you will find in Kalkan.It is typically Turkish,not a tourist attraction as such,but a good insight into the way the people live.If you call him during the day he maybe able to pick you up,or you can take a taxi.

Notes on accommodation: This is a non smoking apartment,so kindly ask guests not to smoke indoors. This would involve extra cleaning,and additional costs would be charged.The apartment is managed by my property manager,an extremely friendly and efficient English lady who is always available. A complimentary bottle of Turkish wine and a welcome pack will be offered to guests upon arrival. Outside: The living room opens out onto the breakfast balcony,which is surrounded by beautiful bright pink bourganvillia.Whilst enjoying your breakfast,you can cherish the wonderful view overlooking the sea,island and main swimming pool.There is a breakfast table,four chairs,small side table ,umbrella and stand.From the roof top terrace,you have an even better unobstructed view of Kalkan,the harbour and the old town.Enchanting at dusk when the lights start to twinkle in the village,romantic at full moon.This is the ideal spot for al fresco dining,or a night cap after a wonderful dinner in one of the many excellent restaurants in the village.A wooden table,four chairs,umbrella and stand are to be found,along with a gas lighted barbecue. Utility Room: There is no utility room. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment will be cleaned every 7 days, including linen and bathroom towels. 4 beach towels are provided but will not be changed.If necessary, washed in the evening they will be dry by morning.Extra cleaning can be arranged at guests own expense. Other: There is a hand basin and extra plug point upstairs in the hallway.

A non refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure a booking.The balance is to be paid 8 weeks prior to the arrival date. A damage deposit of £250 is requested.

Changeover Day:
Providing there are no guests arriving, change over days can be flexible apart from the months of July and August, where change over day would be a Saturday or a Monday. Arrival time is from 4pm,departure 11am.
