This luxury two bed air conditioned apartment is situated in a prime location right on the Playa Burriana. It is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the sea, sand and sports. It is very comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated throughout with large terraces overlooking wonderful views of the sea and mountains. It stands just across a small road from the beach where there are several little restaurants. The centre of Nerja is approximately one kilometre away and can be easily reached by bus or along the beach top path. The apartment has two bedrooms plus lounge/dining room with TV and WiFi, kitchen with cooker/oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, 2 bathrooms with WC, bath and shower. The apartment has own iron and linen and towels. Please note the apartment has a meter for the whole of the electrics. There will be a credit put on of 20.€ per week. Please also note that the WiFi is pay as you go at around 14 euros per week.

About the Owner

I live in the UK with my partner where I run my Spanish property business from home. As well as owning our villa in Marbella and apartment in Nerja I rent out many properties for other owners. I started in 1990 when my youngest daughter was two, renting out our own apartment and then other owners asked me to rent their properties. I love my business and Spain. We travel backwards and forwards from England and only takes 6 hours from door to door! Our villa is just 20 minutes drive from Malaga airport. We especially like to go in the winter months to capture the sun and warm days. I like running along the many sandy beaches or strolling along with my partner. New hobby is stand up paddle boarding. I also like to go to the local market for fresh veg and salad as well as the clothes!

I have booked through Gill Johnson Holiday Villas before and always had a very professional service with no issues. They are thorough in the information they provide and clear with the instructions. This is the second time I have stayed in this particular apartment. As ever with Gill Johnson Villas, the villa was very clean and presentable on arrival. The only negative comments I would have is there were a couple of damp marks on the walls which would probably benefit from being painted and also the fridge was not very cold. Apart from these two points the apartment is ideally placed for easy access to the beach. Denise McKenzie - September 2014.

There are many activities in Nerja and areas close by - walking, horse riding, tennis, sailing, scuba diving, boating, paddle boarding, swimming and tours to the Alhambra Palace and many other tourist attractions. Friend of mine - Maggie, organises tours for small groups to the three little white historic villages in the Alpujarra mountains just 1 hour drive away with tapas trails (and hiking if you wish) – ask me for her contact details if interested. Burriana beach has many nice restaurants, bars and shops and all sorts of water sports on the beach including scuba diving, boating and paddle boarding

Nerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, and marks the eastern tip of Málaga's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 12,000. Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, to the east, the town has, fortunately, managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing... However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town. The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or mudéjar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach. However, Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.
