Villa in Taradeau near Lorgues, PPACA - Luxurious villa in countryside setting close to a village renowned for its wine

This fully air-conditioned villa is light and spacious. Built in a U-shape around the heated swimming pool, all of the principal ground floor rooms have large sliding patio doors (with electric shutters) leading to the extensive swimming pool terrace. With 5 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom plus study/library with double sofa bed, this house can easily accommodate one large or two or three smaller families. Two of the bedrooms, including the master suite are to be found on the ground floor. Two further en-suite bedrooms are on the first floor and a further en-suite bedroom is at basement level. A most unusual added bonus is that this villa includes a superb cinema room with 3 large sofas and additional seating plus a very well equipped games room containing pool table, table football, poker table, table with chess set and bar with wine fridge. The kitchen is fully equipped and leads to a covered terrace with summer kitchen. All bedroom windows are fitted with mosquito nets and have substantial storage and TVs. The villa is furnished with modern high quality items.

Taradeau is renowned for its wine production and wine lovers can spend hours discovering the different domaines of the area. The local area is ideal for walkers and cyclists offering kilometres of quiet roads and paths.

The village of Taradeau is only 2.5km from the villa and the larger town of Lorgues only 7.5km in the opposite direction. In the small village of Taradeau there is a small supermarket, a newsagent/tabac, a bank and post office. There is also a restaurant and the wine cooperative. Close by is another restaurant which can even deliver to the house. Lorgues, a larger town, offers a selection of restaurants including the famous Bruno's truffle restaurant and shopping. Very close to the villa are a number of wine domaines offering wine tasting.

Outside: This property is set in over 5000m2 of grounds some of which is wooded. There is a boules pitch for that essential game of 'petanque'. The swimming pool is surrounded by a large terraced area with adjacent pool house containing seating and table tennis table. There is a wc and a separate shower (hot and cold water) in the pool house and a music system for summer parties. The swimming pool terrace is exceptionally well furnished with tables, chairs, loungers and parasols. There are large awnings allowing guests to escape from the sun yet still sit outside. The summer kitchen in the covered terrace contains gas barbecue, table and chairs to seat 12 people. Utility Room: The basement utility room contains washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board and is equipped with shelving and baskets for laundry. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa is deep cleaned between every let and all linen including bath, hand and pool towels is provided. Linen is changed at the end of each week at no extra charge. Additional cleaning can be arranged at a supplement paid on site. Other: The study/library has a double bed settee and is equipped with useful guide books and leaflets. In the basement the superb cinema and adjacent games room offer hours of fun.

Amazing house

Recently enjoyed a week in this fabulous house. The house is well equipped and maintained to a high standard. We were a group of 10, including 4 children and the movie/games room was a great addition and distraction to get out of the high temperatures of August.

I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Amazing property

The villa really is incredible. The owners have thought of everything and the facilities are excellent. The location is really peaceful but there are plenty of sights to see within reasonable driving distance. Micky (owner) is so friendly and helpful and Judith, who organises the bookings, is extremely efficient, responsive and always happy to help with any queries. We had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend this property.

Amazing villa but...

We loved our stay at this villa in late August 2016. Everything is indeed fantastic. However, I had specifically asked if there was air-con to all rooms as at this time of year I feel it is a necessity. There is not air-con to all rooms. There is "under floor cooling" which is not air-con and is absolutely nowhere near as effective. If you are visiting here any cooler time of year I would think this would be fine but for us it was not.

Despite this there are so many amazing things about this villa, it's location is beautiful, the pool area is fantastic, kitchen awesome if you like cooking as we do. My wife personally loved the hot tub with side viewing panel and full length mirrors in all the showers. The kids loved the games room and cinema.

We took the advice from Judith and went to the market in Lorgues and the Lac St-Croix, both were amazing. Tip: if you're going to the Lac take some aqua shoes as it's pretty painful getting in the water. Amazing views on the drive there.

Excellent Holiday Accomodation

Our family holiday with two children and a baby was a great success. The accommodation was excellent and of a very high

standard. Very spacious, comfortable, clean, quiet location and the house was equipped to a very high standard. Madam Hely, the owner was very welcoming and she and her son explained in great detail the working of the house. Of particular interest was the Cinema and Games Room. The pool was enjoyed by everyone. The external eating arrangements worked very well for us in the evening. Judith who handled our booking was very efficient and could not have been more helpful.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this villa.

5 adults stayed in this amazing property , and were extremely happy with it. It's very modern, with terrific beds, lounges, well equipped kitchen etc. We loved the heated pool, the outdoor BBQ area, and the spectacular games room, which would suit a horde of teenagers. The proximity to all sites was incredible, The house is in a very quiet location. This house has everything needed to make a holiday in Provence perfect.

Fantastically appointed luxurious and spacious villa

We stayed here over Christmas, so were looking for somewhere that would have plenty of indoor space for Christmas dinner - so many villas have lots of outdoor space but not much inside. This was perfect! We also brought some of the more esoteric cooking essentials for Christmas - like mince pie tins; we needn't have bothered - the kitchen has everything you could possibly want if you like to cook at home. And if you don't, there are lots of restaurants to suit all budgets in Lorgues, which is only 10 minutes away. An enormous Hypermarket with everything you could possibly need is also only 10 minutes away, in the opposite direction. There's not much in the village of Taradeau itself, beyond a recently expanded (and very good) baker, and the wine co-op, but given how close everything else is that really didn't matter. You would not want to walk into the village though - the road is relatively narrow with no pavement. However there are nice quiet circular walks from right outside the villa.

As others have mentioned, Micky the owner is extremely hospitable and helpful, and had gone to great lengths to prepare the house for us. We brought an inflatable Christmas tree (!) with us, but again there was no need - she had set up not one but two trees for us, with lights and decorations, and generally made it feel very Christmassy. We had a small problem with the wifi initially (potential disaster for the teenagers), but Phillipe-Michel came and rectified it within 30 minutes.

It being winter, we made full use of the cinema, which is a great facility. The pool table was well used as well, as was the beer pump :-). It was great to have so much space inside, so we were not on top of each other, and in Summer it would be just fantastic with all the outdoor space as well. I hope that we will be able to return again at a warmer time of year to make full use of the pool and outdoor cooking facilities.

A wonderful villa overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay (ages 18 to 80), and hope to return. Thank you to Micky and her family.

Damage Deposit £663.96

Booking Notes:
A 25% deposit is required in order to confirm a booking. This should be made by bank transfer directly to the owners or through the website. The balance is payable 8 weeks before the holiday begins. Payment is in Euros. The damage/excessive cleaning deposit of 750€ is payable with the balance and will be repaid by bank transfer within two weeks of departure. All payments will be acknowledged by email immediately after the payment is received.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible but Saturday changeovers are preferred during July and August. Arrival after 16h00 and departure before 10h00.

Notes on prices:
The prices are for up to 10 people. A supplement of 150€ per person is payable for up to a further 2 people (max 12). Supplements of 100€ per person apply for an additional 2 people apply from September to June.. Prices are inclusive of all linen (including pool towels), electricity and water. No extra charges for winter breaks - full heating is included in the price. However, should guests wish to have the pool heated outside the months of May to September a supplement of 100€ per week will apply.
