Built in 2008, this is an attractive, air-conditioned, modern 3 bedroom holiday apartment on the upper floor of a detached 2-storey building. Situated in a peaceful but central up-market residential area of Alvor, there is ample free 'on street' car parking. The owners and property managers sometimes reside in the ground floor apartment. A large, sunny south east facing balcony (35sq.m) overlooks the apartment's own private pool. The accommodation has its own private first floor entrance, which is accessed via an exterior staircase at the side of the building. Ideally located on edge of the resort centre. It's just a 10 minute stroll to one of the Algarve's most magnificent long sandy beaches and a 2 minute walk to various shops, bus stops, a taxi rank, numerous fine restaurants, pubs and snack bars in this lovely resort, at the heart of which lies a charming, unspoilt old fishing village and harbour.

Great apartment in the centre of Alvor

Stayed here for 2 weeks and it was exactly as described. The location is fantastic as its right in the town. It is very private, quite and perfect for families. The pool is lovely and the large patio is perfect for relaxing and keeping an eye on the pool. The off street parking was very handy also if you rent a car. Will definitely be back to stay again and would recommend it. All the dealings with the owner, Kitty were easy and she was available at all times, the transfer of payments was secure and that was a comfort.

Special interest holidays:

We do not provide special interest holidays but skydiving and microlight flying courses are available at the nearby aerodrome at Montes de Alvor. Other popular local activities include coastal sightseeing flights, boat trips, sea angling, windsurfing, cycling, horse riding and ornithology at a nearby nature reserve.

Coast/Beach:

It's just 1km to the beach - using the shortest route, it's only about a 10 minute walk. There are lovely beach cafes and restaurants overlooking the beach, with views of the Atlantic ocean. It's a short stroll from the beach to the old fishing village.

Travel:

It's a 74 km drive (46 miles), normally taking no more than 50 minutes, along the motorway from Faro airport to Alvor. Booking Notes:
The apartment can be provisionally reserved for 7 days pending receipt of a 25% rent deposit. The rent balance becomes due 4 weeks before the start of the holiday. For further information, including terms and conditions, please contact the owner.

Changeover Day:
Check-in after 15:30. Check-out before 11:00. Luggage storage available. We endeavour to allow early check-in and/or late check-out whenever feasible. Guest may book their flights to arrive and depart on any day of the week convenient to themselves.

Notes on prices:
The prices are nightly rents for the apartment, for a maximum of 5 guests. Flexible changeover days and holiday duration arrangements allow guests to benefit from lower cost mid-week flights. Although the minimum rent is for 7 nights, you do not have to rent for a whole number of weeks. Between november 1st and the 14st of April there is a possibility to rent the entire house. Please contact the owner for prices and conditions.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: There is a safety deposit box, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, smoke alarms, hygienic mattress and pillow protectors. Air-conditioning and heating units are installed in most rooms. Electric appliances include a toaster, kettle, steam iron, half dryer, and coffee maker. Outside: Exterior stairs lead from the balcony to the spacious, private, fully tilled patio and swimming pool, which is regularly cleaned and serviced. To protect the privacy of our guests the patio garden and pool area is separated from the lower floor apartment garden by a 1.80 metres high fence. The pool dimensions are 6 metres length by 3.5 metres width. The water depth ranges from 0.6 to 1.6 metres. The pool is unheated, which of course is perfect in warm weather! Utility Room: There is no utility room. A washing machine is situated in the corner of the L-shaped bathroom. There is ample space elsewhere for the storage of typical utility room items (e.g. ironing board, steam iron, clothes drying rack, brushes, mop, bucket etc.) Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Includes bathroom towel set (4 towels) per person, bed linen to enable a change every 7 days per person and the apartment is cleaned before and after the holiday. There is no maid service but extra services can be arranged at an additional charge. Other: The apartment benefits from a large sunny balcony, accessed from the living room, with an outdoor table and 5 chairs for dining alfresco. In the private pool and patio area there are 2 garden tables, 5 chairs, 5 sunbeds, a parasol and barbecue equipment.
