We had a fantastic time at Ewedale farm. Spending quality time with the family in such lovely surroundings has left us with special memories, the hot tub, log burner and waterbeds were a big hit for all of us.

excellent relaxing break in beautiful surroundings
Beautiful farmhouse in beautiful setting. House was gorgeous, felt relaxed as soon as we entered. Steve the owner was great and very friendly. Location was out of town but a great base to get to all the attractions and Ulverston was only a short drive away. Plenty of wildlife and hot tub was the icing on the cake. Thanks for a fantastic break, we are already discussing our next visit.
Lovely house, large comfortable bedrooms, huge hot tub. Good sized kitchen which comfortably fitted 8 people for family dinners. All very clean. Very quiet spot, not really anything in walking distance to do need a car but there are super markets within a 10 minute drive. Great communication with owners. Definitely will be back!
Friends weekend away
We stayed at this stunning cottage this weekend (Friday-Monday), we arrived earlier than check in on Friday but the owner let us straight in! We stayed as four couples (aged 25-30) with intentions of having a relaxing weekend and that it was!!
All four rooms were as gorgeous as each other but the master room with ensuite was stunning. All with wabdrobe space & modernly decorated with a hint of countryside in the decor.
Large family bathroom, ensuite rain shower - so not an issue for us fighting over the bathroom.
The kitchen & dining area perfect for cooking for large group & having a "family dinner". Well equipped which I wasn't expecting as we braught all sorts that were already provided...cleaning products, kitchen roll, bin bags...even seasoning for cooking.
There's a dish washer which is a HUGE bonus as there was so many of us!
Washing machine/dryer also came in handy as we were in and out of the hot tub &I the towels needed freshening up a lot!
Living area is huge with a real log fire which was lovely! Good size for games night & very cozy!
The land itself is in a beautiful location! The patio over looks beautiful landscapes & adds to the relaxation factor!
The hot tub was the highlight...I was worried about the cold weather but it literally lived up to its name (it was hot enough to sit in evening of a night). We had an absolute ball!
We have all had a fantastic weekend! Not one dull moment thanks to company and the cottage! The price is an absolute bargain, we got much more than I anticipated with facilities & amendments!

Clean, very spacious, lovely
The overall impression was very good. The house is very spacious, is clean and has a great interior design. You can see how much love and thought went into it. The hot tub was a big plus and the arrival and departure were easy. Great value for money. We loved it and would definitely come back.
Activity and Interests
Easy access to The Lakes, Just a 20 min car journey to Bowness-on-Windermere which has become a tourist honeypot. Coniston and Windermere 15 minute car journey. A golden sandy beach with dunes can be found approximately 8 miles away at Rhoan Head, on the Duddon Estuary.
The nearest airport is Manchester, which is a 2 hour drive away.
Ulverston Railway Station is 3 miles from the Farm.

Eating Out in the area
The Railway is the nearest eatery from the Farm House Just 2 miles in the village
of Lindale, a small family run pub offers excellent home cooked food in a cosy comfortable atmosphere.
Ulverston Town has a wider variety of restaurants and cafes, and takeaways. But to name a few off the popular places previous guests have liked.
The Farmers Arms, vibrant and busy meeting place great town centre pub and eatery. Booking for meals is essential in this every popular pub.
The Farm House is just 2 miles from Southlake’s larges tourist attraction
South Lakeland Zoo, Close by is Haverthwaite Railway and Lakeland Motor Museum (9.5 miles)
The Dock Museum Barrow (9 miles), Ravenglass and Muncaster Castle (22 miles)
Short scenic drive away is Grange Over-Sands Kendal is approximately 20 miles away, great for shopping.
There are plenty of walks from the doorstep and a short drive to Grisedale Forest Park for cycling, sculptures, Go Ape.
Ulverston Town has Booths supermarket, Tesco Extra and Co-op. an array of cobbled streets with various shops and cosy cafes. The famous Gillam Tearooms serving fine food and quality Tea. Voted one of UK top 10 Tearooms.
close by 2.5 miles is Dalton Village with a larger Co-op, bakery post office and small shops.
A 8 mile drive in to Barrow-in-Furness there is Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi and an array of various shops.
