House in Ramsgate, Kent, England - 6 Mins Walk To The Beach. Brilliantly Located To Enjoy All That Ramsgate Has To Offer!

Richmond Beach House is an early Victorian Villa with many original features. Bohemian Chic filled with loads of eclectic furniture and charm. It offers the perfect backdrop for gatherings with friends and family, for weekend breaks or Summer Holiday fun. There is a courtyard patio-a great sun trap and a larger patio area with an eating area. For those with little ones, a built in garden Trampoline. If the weather turns, which is rare in Thanet as it seems to enjoy its very own micro climate. Set a fire and cosy up with a good book and a cuppa.

The house has 5 bedrooms:

Main Bedroom 1 - is very large room, with a kingsize bed with a en suite sleeps 2 Bedroom 2 - Has a double and small single bed with an en suite. Sleeps 2/3

Bedroom 3 - Double bed. Sleeps 2

Bedroom 4 - Double bed. Sleeps 2

Bedroom 5 - Small double. Sleeps 2

The house has a very large kitchen with the eating area, there are 3 reception rooms-one with the main TV and 3 sofas, the other with a small TV and open fire and lots of seating and finally a good space with a sofa bed, 2 comfy chairs and a desk. The house sleeps 11. The garden wraps around half the house gets the sun for the whole day. There is a patio and sunken trampoline.

I do need to add some Booking Information. Owners Direct have recently changed their policy and it has made the booking process slightly more tricky. The main thing is that if you are interested in booking for a weekend or a full week, it is still pretty straight forward. If you would like to book for any other combination of time, the Owners Direct automatic quoting system just multiplies the day rate which should not be the case. In this instance, please do get in touch with me directly and I can give you the correct amount. I hope this helps with your booking experience.

I look forward to hearing from you.

About the Owner

We are Nic, Vivien, Innes and Lachlan plus our dog Daphne. We currently live in Oxford. We loved living in Ramsgate and were all sad to have to move. We miss the seaside.

We own a few properties which I oversee. I also have a Catering/Cocktail Caravan which myself and friend Louise tour around the country doing events and parties. Nic my husband works in Sport.

We love to walk(kids under duress), cook/eat/drink and to travel.

Richmond house ... lovely and large

  • 5 of 5

Amazing house, huge rooms and close to the beach and town. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed cooking and dining in the kitchen and outside alfresco dining as the weather was so hot. The bedrooms are lovely and huge and beds very comfy. We loved it!

Amazing house by the seaside!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time at Vivien's house, the pictures really don't do it justice! It is absolutely huge with plenty of space for all of your party and lots of areas for relaxing. All the linen and bedding was really high quality and so beautiful, we all said it was our dream home!

We had great weather so made full use of the beautiful garden all weekend. We were on a hen do for the weekend and enjoyed the short walk to the beach and clubs along the seafront. I would 10/10 recommend this and so would all the girls who stayed. Great value and Vivien was so understanding and easy to discuss things with. I can't say enough how great this place was!

A great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family group of eight loved staying in this house. It more than met our expectations. It was spacious and comfortable, clean and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking a variety of meals. There were plenty of books and games for wet days and the children loved the Wii games. The house was full of character with an interesting collection of pictures. The garden was nice though we didn't have very good weather for sitting out in it. The sunken trampoline was very popular with the children. The house was situated in a pleasant area and very convenient for the local Waitrose. It was only a short walk to the town and harbour.

The owner was very helpful in answering questions before our stay and sorting out any minor problems when we there.

We liked the harbour area and walking along the parades. The Falstaff Inn had good coffee and sandwiches and we had an excellent meal at the Albion Hotel. We had a lovely walk along the promenade

Beautiful and stylish house for a get-together

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a superb time staying down in Ramsgate over the long Easter weekend.

Vivien's house is lovely (and the pictures do not do it full justice). A superb kitchen to allow the preparation of feasts for the whole family as well as plenty of rooms to allow people to chill out with a book or battle each other on the Wii.

Vivien's communications were great - in touch to discuss the finer points and available when needed during the stay.

I can't thank her enough and would highly recommend her house and will certainly look to return.

Absolutely fantastic place!!

  • 5 of 5

We were very very impressed with the place. The place was huge (for 10 people) yet very cosy and homey at the same time. It is very well decorated and we were always awe-ing at how great the place was. The bedrooms have plenty of space and the bathrooms, toilets are very clean. The kitchen has everything and we really enjoyed cooking there. The lounges are very spacious and there are plenty of board games. The area was also very nice - very close to supermarkets, beach and station! Would definitely want to come back!!

Great and very spacious house!

  • 5 of 5

This property is extremely well equipped and very spacious. There were 10 of us and we could easily sit together in the dining area (where we spent most of our time). However there are 3 other downstairs rooms so there was plenty of scope for spreading out. The 5 bedrooms were all very comfortable and the 2 en-suites and main bathroom meant there were no queues! The garden was lovely and the children enjoyed the sunken trampoline. Waitrose is a 5 min walk and the town, harbour and sea only a little further. We had a good week.

Location

From the Owner

We were living in Victoria Park, London and fancied some sea air so bought Richmond Beach House. We used it for weekends and School Holidays before we moved there a couple of years later. My husband commuted as the new high speed rail link had just been finished. We were seduced by the sea, the people and the fabulous architecture. Ramsgate is a hidden gem and becoming less and less hidden which is marvellous for the whole area and community.
