Our apartment is only 25 min from the Gibraltar airport & 50 min from Malaga airport. Puerto de La Duquesa has been described as one of the best kept secrets on the Costa del Sol. We recommend this area for the excellent facilities that it offers for families looking for a relaxing holiday, romantic couples or for Golfers looking to play some of the best courses in Europe.

Here you will find numerous shops and bars, a bank, 2 ATMs, newsagents, boutiques, hairdressers salons and internet cafes. Restaurants include cuisine from France, Italy, Thailand, China, India, Great Britain and Ireland as well as Spain. The Marina has more than 300 berths.

There are no high rise buildings here to spoil the view. The blue flag beach stretches as far as Sabinillas with it's promenade of bars / restaurants and many shops in the village. The beach stretches on to Estepona with many children’s playgrounds and offering plenty of water sports.

On the other side, it winds around the coast to Sotogrande. The waterfront is closed to traffic and in the Summer there is a charming night street market.

We love Duquesa and could spend our months holiday going to a different restaurant every night.

About Robert Measham

We are a professional couple with a small restaurant business living in Dordogne, South of France, which we love.

We are the first owners of our apartment on this brand new estate in Duquesa village. We have furnished it to a very high standard and hope everyone who visits will enjoy all the apartment has to offer.

We drive down from France as often as we can to stay in our apartment, for pool/beach holidays or as a base for visiting some of the wonderful sights and attractions in the Southern part of Spain.

We are extremely happy with our apartment and get real pleasure when others use it and have as much fun there as we do.

We have Three grown up daughters who also love to join us with their partners. they enjoying all the night life Duquesa Port has to offer and we usually stay in the village or visit the quieter parts of the area to relax.

Lovely clean apartment and balcony, plenty of space for us and our 2 teenage boys

We all really enjoyed our stay at Duquesa Village, lovely apartment and pools. A good 20 min walk to the port but then a taxi back was only about 7euros after midnight. The port is lovely with plenty of restaurants and bars. Would return again.

Well equipped spacious appartment

We spent 3 weeks in this lovely appartment at the end of Feb & start of March. It has all that you want, large lounge dinner, two lovely bedrooms, one on suite the other next to the shower / toilet. A well equipped kitchen and utility room take care of the domestics. You also have full English and Spanish tv & radio along with a DVD player. Parking is in your allocated space under the appartment, with the lift and stares only feet from the front door.

The sun rises over the balcony and streams into the lounge and master bedroom. In the afternoon you get some shade, which in summer would be welcome, even in March I moved into the shade a few times when having a mid morning coffee. If you want more sun it is only a two minute walk to the nearest of the lovely pools.

It is only a few minutes drive to the lovely harbour and miles of beautiful beaches, or walk down and get a taxi back for a few euros.

Even at this time of year most of the numerous bars and restaurants along the sea front were open, with every type of cuisine available. Supermarkets and services, hairdressers, news agent and many other shops are all close by.

The beautiful town of Estopana is only 15 mins drive, with Gibraltar around 40 mins.

Gibraltar is easily visible from the beach as is the North African coast of Morroca, in March we could clearly see its snow capped mountains.

Inland there are numerous beautiful historic hillside villages.

We had a wonderful stay, the whole area has something for everyone.

Beautiful Apartment

Beautiful apartment, very spacious and clean.

Five swimming pools on the complex.

Car recommended, lots of places to visit, Estepona, Gibraltar, Tarifa and many more.

Marlowes fish and chips recommended, lots of supermarkets nearby.

Lovely family holiday and already booked for next year!! :)

The Apartment is in a quiet area, yet it is only 15 minutes walk to the nearest shops in Monte Duquesa courtyard.

10 min further on is Duquesa Port, ipacked with entertainment. Music bars and every nationality of restaurant you could want, and great fish restaurants. The wonderful beach is either side of the port with lots of shops, bars, restaurants along the promonade.

The next port along which is a 3 min walk up the promenade is typical Spanish ‘El Catillo’ where you will find ethnic Tapas bars and great Spanish food, very atmospheric.

Further up the coast you have Estapona Port, Marbella Port, Fuengirolla Port and many more all packed with Spanish entertainment and offering a fantastic experience.

Puerto de La Duquesa is situated roughly 25 minutes away from the airport in Gibraltar and just under 1 hour away from Malaga airport. The small town of Estepona is only 10 minutes drive away. You can find everything you need here!

Also there is Puerto Banús or Marbella, only 20 min drive on the motorway.

There is a deposit of 20% at the time of booking and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival. Canncellation fees: 4 weeks prior to holiday 25% refund, 2 weeks 50% refund and less than 2 weeks no refund unless we can re-book the apartment. There is also a deposit against breakages etc of £200 which will be returned to you within 10 days of departure pending report from our agents inspection. Long term let considered.

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
