Welcome to our Holiday 'Home-from-Home' on the outskirts of Hayle. 67 Trevithick Court is situated on the Tolroy Manor Holiday Park in a quieter part of the semi-wooded grounds of this old Cornish Manor and sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Over the winter months we have been busy decorating, replacing the hob, sofa and chair and had a ventilation system installed. The comfortable accommodation is fully double-glazed and consists of an open lounge / dining / kitchen area, a light, bright,bathroom.with bath and shower over. The double and twin-bedded bedrooms have ample clothes storage space, bedside cabinet and bedside light. There is an electric heater supplied for each room with a flame effect stove-type heater in the living room. The property is professionally cleaned before each new let, with freshly laundered bedding provided.

Towels are NOT provided. There is no additional charge for electric.

About Anne-Marie O'Neill

We love Cornwall with its fabulous beaches and gorgeous scenery even though it's a long trek from our home in Cumbria to our 'home-from-home' in Cornwall, especially for our furry companions 'The Three Amigos', but they love every minute of being in Hayle. The beaches are their favourite (of course!) and also meeting up with their springer spaniel 'cousin', Humphrey. For us, we love the whole area and spending time with Sean and Anita who have now moved closer to us (Camborne) so they're only 20 minutes away - perfect!

Why Anne-Marie O'Neill chose Cornwall

We were re-introduced to the delights of Cornwall 10 years ago when our son moved to Newquay. Since then we have spent as much time as possible in the area and really love it - the beaches, the scenery and the weather! Our three beagles, Phin, Skye and Brynn love the beaches, especially the nearby but hard-to-find Porth Kidney beach, as well as the one at Perranporth just a little further afield.

We decided to look for a small property in the area to use as a base when we visit Sean, which is how we came across Tolroy Manor. Some of the properties on the site are privately owned and guests can have a quiet, relaxed holiday or take advantage of the site facilities if they choose. The site facilities are open from 1st March - 31st October and use of them is usually included with your booking. Facilites include an indoor swimming pool, bar, restaurant / takeaway, shop, launderette, children's playground and more. Check out our Facebook page, just search for 67 Trevithick Court, Hayle.

What makes this bungalow unique

One of the things that attracted us to Tolroy Manor is the fact that the site allows up to 3 dogs per property, although not all property owners allow dogs in their properties.

With 3 'fur babies' ourselves, we know from experience how difficult it is to find somewhere that accepts more than 2 dogs, and this was a real plus for us. We know that dog owners are mainly responsible folk - and multiple dog owners even more so, and we are happy to offer the opportunity to enjoy a holiday with your 'best-friend(s)'.

The location of the site is great too - close to the town (20 minutes walk) and the beach (1.5 miles) but in a rural position. You can catch the train to St Ives from St Erth saving the difficult task of finding a parking space in St Ives! Many of the main attractions are within an hour's drive and many a lot less than that.

We had a lovely break and truly amazing weather! Your bungalow is lovely and very well equipped. The milk and cleaning pack are lovely touches! We spoke to Elsa who told us you are hoping to change the windows and doors which should sort out the only criticism we can make which is about the condensation issue.

We found everything else to be perfect - oven worked fab, shower is superb, kitchen is well-stocked, very clean and lovely bedding. Perfect! Thank you. So glad we found your bungalow. P.S. Ted n Rose enjoyed every minute too.

Hayle and 3 miles of sandy beach is 1.5 miles from the site. Dogs are not allowed on this beach from 1st April - 31st October, however there is a lovely dog-friendly, sandy beach at Porth Kidney, Lelant Downs about 4 miles away and also at Perranporth.

The nearest railway station is at St Erth which is approximately 2 miles from the site.

The nearest airport is Newquay which is approximately 30 miles away.

Further Details:

Hayle has a number of restaurants,pubs and take aways serving good food as well as a good choice of supermarkets to suit all pockets. A new Asda has opened within a mile of the site and there is also a Spar opposite. A little further on through Hayle is a Co-op and a Lidl, while on the retail park on the A30 there is an M & S, Next and Boots. There is a Barclays and a Lloyds Bank within a mile of the site, both with an outside cash machine and a pull-in layby outside and there is also a cash machine outside Asda. There is a chemists (Boots), a toy shop, pet shop, hardware store and various individual shops, a Library with internet access; Doctors; Dentists, various hairdressers and beauty salons. Hayle's 3 mile sandy beach and coastal footpaths are about 1.5 miles from the site. For bird watchers, the nearby Estuary is a popular RSPB site. Some brochures are provided within the Welcome Pack in the property giving information on Cornwall's Attractions with more available in the Main Reception building.

Outside: There is a small patio area to the front of the property. A bench is supplied which is kept inside the property but can easily be moved onto the patio as required. There are also 2 folding chairs in the cupboard in the lounge. Parking for one vehicle is conveniently nearby at the rear of the property. Extra parking is available in the main car park. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Freshly laundered bed linen is supplied and the beds are made ready for your arrival. The property is cleaned ready for each new arrival. Towels are NOT SUPPLIED. Celebrating something special? We can arrange, flowers, wine etc. Please ask for details. Other: Ironing board and airer in cupboard in lounge. Great, well presented holiday cottage with onsite facilities and amusements.

We have stayed at this holiday site three times now and have used different private owners to rent from. Although this was the smallest of the properties we have rented here, it was the best presented and was lovely and bright. The cottage had everything you need for a family get away and was clean and well serviced before and during our stay.

The site has a pool, shop and bar with entertainment for the whole family. We went a couple of times in the evening, but were mainly out and about to see the sites of this lovely county. The children love the pool, which is a great asset to the site.

Hayle has a couple of supermarkets and some lovely beaches within easy reach. It is also very close to St Ives, which is our favourite town in Cornwall. We visited Lands End a couple of times and enjoyed the fireworks and entertainment. The weather was not forecast to be the best, but in Cornwall you can swap to the other coastline and often find the sun shining. We had some lovely beach days with the children.

Highly recommend this cottage and would have no hesitation in booking it again.

Glad the children enjoyed the pool, its great to have the option of all the facilities the Park offers - even if only used once or twice. It's a lovely area with lots to see and do and you are so right about the weather being different on the other coast! We have experienced that a few times and its always worth a try. With so much within easy reach and so many beautiful beaches to choose from its not difficult to find things to do. We have never managed to get to the fireworks at Lands End though but they must be spectacular. We'll have to make sure we try to get there next time we're down....

Just one word can describe our stay and that is "perfect ".

Great communication from Anne-Marie from the word go, and all details concerning location to amenities spot on. The accomadation is comfortable, clean and has everything we needed for our stay, didn't want for anything and will definitely be recommended to friends and family.

relaxing break

the accommodation is well equipped , particularly in the kitchen which is a pleasant change . everything was comfy and clean . the whole sites properties clearly suffers from damp issues but seemed well managed and cleaned in this property .

its in a great location to explore and so much to see and visit . we had 7 days and didnt stop and i still didnt have enough time to go everywhere i wanted to .

the sites bar and night time activities where very basic and mainly for children but nice enough to visit for something to do in evening on site and have a drink.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your break and exploring the area - there is certainly lots to see and do within easy reach of the site, whether its walking the fabulous beaches, visiting local attractions or shopping in some of the smaller individual shops or the larger retail parks! We have also spent many a holiday in self catering accommodation where you struggle to find pots, pans and utensils etc to enable you to cook even a basic meal and, as we use it ourselves, we like to make sure there is everything we need. The construction of the properties on the site means that damp can be an issue, but Ruth (who cleans for us) is very aware and keeps things under control as much as possible. We are having a ventilation system fitted while we are there next month and we hope this will improve things further We appreciate your comments regarding the bar and night time activities - we never use them so it is useful to know. We will pass it on to the Park Management so they are aware. If you'd like to return to complete your to-do-list, just give me a call.

Ample for needs

Chose this place as parents can't manage steps, in this respect perfect. Well placed for travel by car to places like St Ives and Penzance. All equipment needed for self catering. Good bathroom too.

Unfortunately place smelled very damp and had mould growing in main bedroom on back wall, above floor. Cooker needs attention as LEDs don't all work so unsure which plate is on. Oven however is excellent.

Condensation has been an issue there previously but we had hoped that installing double-glazing with night vents over last winter would reduce the problem. We will investigate other methods of dealing with this as part of the renovations over the winter months and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Superlative owner and an outstanding property in a truly spectacular part of the country

Outstanding!

Anne-Marie, the owner of this property, is superlative: communication was outstanding - Anne-Marie even emailed us on the day of our departure and updated us with details of traffic. She also provided excellent information in the property with literally everything you could possibly need to know during your stay, including lots of information about dog friendly beaches and places to eat.

On our arrival to the lovely little holiday home in Trevithick court, Anne-Marie had arranged for lots of lovely finishing touches, such as coffee, tea, milk, washing up liquid; a handy pack of tea towels, dish cloths, sponges, spare black sacks etc; even dog treats as a gift from her three beagles and fresh flowers which matched the pattern on the place mats of the dining table. Wow! Anne-Marie is clearly a very conscientious owner and clearly is extremely fond of her property; she went out of her way to make our holiday stress free, easy and special.

The property has everything you might need: an outside bench, fold up chairs, ironing board and iron; drying rack, cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery etc. The beds were very comfortable, the oven was very good and the bathroom is very modern - the shower was excellent! The TV/DVD players worked perfectly.

The campsite is small and perhaps would benefit from further updates in some areas like the mini golf, but it's nice; the staff were very friendly and prices are reasonable. All activities on the site are free, you just pay a returnable deposit to borrow equipment, like tennis rackets and Xbox controllers. Parking near the property was always easy. It's in a good location in Hayle, 10 minute drive from the beach, Asda is round the corner and we found an outdoor swimming pool and brilliant park nearby.

We had an amazing holiday - Cornwall is truly beautiful; the views are spectacular and the beaches stunning.

The beaches down there are fabulous and there is a lot to see in the surrounding area without having to travel too far. Fantastic base!

Fabulous chalet with all the necessities. Anne-Marie was fantastic at keeping in touch before we went. We took our large GSD with us who had plenty of space to lay about after his long walks on the beach. Anne-Marie even remembered it was Louis' (GSD) 2nd birthday whilst we were there and had left a present for him to rip open on his big day. There was also milk and tea bags on arrival for us to have a good cuppa whilst settling in! Thanks again and we will look forward to further holidays with you.

Bookings and enquiries are welcome by either phone or e-mail. We welcome up to 3 medium sized dogs at the bungalow. The charge per dog is £25 per week. There is no additional charge for electric.


Changeover Day:
Bookings are from Saturday - Saturday for 7 nights.NB Easter week is from Good Friday. The bungalow will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival. Please vacate by 10am on the day of departure. Short Breaks may be available out of season so please ask.

Notes on prices:
Up to 2 medium-sized or 3 small well-behaved dogs are welcome. There is an additional charge of £25 per dog per week.
Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture, and must be kept on a lead throughout the park.
Do not leave dogs in the property on their own. The Park has the right to ask for any dog causing a nuisance to be removed from the site.
Please clean up after your dog.
