About the property

Cottage in Par, Nr. Fowey, Cornwall, England - 5 Minutes Walk To The Beach

19 Polmear is within easy reach of many of Cornwall's finest attractions: Eden Project, Heligan, 3 National Trust properties, many sandy beaches, Fowey and Charles Town. This lovely cozy cottage with beams is the perfect location for a couples or family holiday. The beach is 5 minutes walk away. We are a dog friendly cottage with one dog allowed to stay at any time. The cottage has a small secure garden. This 3 bedroom cottage is lovely mixture of old style character and modern comfort. The house has excellent internet access.

About Julie Hagarty

I live in a lovely old cottage in Surrey and 19 Polmear is a labour of love for me. I have worked hard to make it cozy and comfortable and I really hope that you love your stay here.

I visit from time to time with my family and my Dog, who loves running on and exploring the beach.

Why Julie Hagarty chose Newquay & St Austell area

I adore Cornwall and this is my favourite part. I love the sea and wanted somewhere near the beach. We like visiting Heligan.

It is only a 4.5 hour drive from Surrey if you leave early, so I find it convenient. The local pub is great and I love the people here.

What makes this cottage unique

I love being so close to the beach and that is the best thing for me. I really appreciate having a couple of dedicated parking spaces.

Another thing I value is the kitchen and dining room. I do a lot of cooking when I am here.

As soon as I arrive at the cottage I relax and all is good in the world!

Lovely cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyable stay - cottage was great and felt more like a holiday home than a holiday let. Bigger than we were expecting as well. Really comfortable with lots of lovely touches such as the book and DVD selection. Beds were comfortable and although the cottage is on a main road was very quiet at night so good sleeps all round.

Visited Fowey; Mevagissey; Lost Gardens of Heligan; and Crealy Cornwall during the week all of which were a short distance away. Local beach just across the road and plenty of options for local walks which is great for dog owners.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back again.

Really enjoyable stay - cottage was great and offered plenty of room for 6 of us.

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable beds and noise from the road was minimal at night so everybody slept well. Cottage was well equipped and a dishwasher was a nice touch. Even nicer - Julie made us some scones and jam and left clotted cream in the fridge so we had a delicious cream tea. Fantastic location with a lovely sandy beach just a few minutes walk and a good base for many attractions. Highly recommend! Many thanks

A good family holiday

  • 4 of 5

A good central point for visiting some lovely beaches and harbours. We loved the Kath Kidson mugs and there was plenty of crockery for 5 of us. We cooked in most evenings and also enjoyed fish and chips from Val's and Havannas Pasties. The outside loo was a great hit with the family - not just a novelty but very handy! The upstairs bathroom had a nice hot shower/bath and loo. We did have quite a lot of rain but there was plenty of room in the cottage for us to stay in and we enjoyed having room to all be able to sit around the dinner table.

Absolutely Idyllic

  • 5 of 5

We loved every minute of our stay in this idyllic cottage. From the moment we stepped in it felt like home. The scones were delicious, as was the jam.

The cottage is very well equipped & a great base to explore the local area.

Fowey is lovely & just up the road, Eden project around 5 miles away.

We hired bikes in Pentewan & cycled to Mevagissey quite hilly but well worth the effort.

The beach is gorgeous and literally 5 minutes up the road. Neighbour very friendly also.

We had a great stay & hope to return soon. Many Thanks
