About the Owner

I live in a lovely old cottage in Surrey and 19 Polmear is a labour of love for me. I have worked hard to make it cozy and comfortable and I really hope that you love your stay here.

I visit from time to time with my family and my Dog, who loves running on and exploring the beach.

A good family holiday

  • 4 of 5

A good central point for visiting some lovely beaches and harbours. We loved the Kath Kidson mugs and there was plenty of crockery for 5 of us. We cooked in most evenings and also enjoyed fish and chips from Val's and Havannas Pasties. The outside loo was a great hit with the family - not just a novelty but very handy! The upstairs bathroom had a nice hot shower/bath and loo. We did have quite a lot of rain but there was plenty of room in the cottage for us to stay in and we enjoyed having room to all be able to sit around the dinner table.

Absolutely Idyllic

  • 5 of 5

We loved every minute of our stay in this idyllic cottage. From the moment we stepped in it felt like home. The scones were delicious, as was the jam.

The cottage is very well equipped & a great base to explore the local area.

Fowey is lovely & just up the road, Eden project around 5 miles away.

We hired bikes in Pentewan & cycled to Mevagissey quite hilly but well worth the effort.

The beach is gorgeous and literally 5 minutes up the road. Neighbour very friendly also.

We had a great stay & hope to return soon. Many Thanks

Cute little gem in Par

  • 5 of 5

Having just returned from our second visit to Polmear Cottage in Par..This cute little place has everything you need to make a great stay. On arrival we always receive a lovely welcome basket. This year being Easter we had 3 Easter Eggs waiting for us as well tea, coffee and milk. Par Beach is a 5 minute walk across the road and is surrounded by a cliff path to the left, Par Port to the right and not forget the sand dunes that my 6 year old and spanial dog had hours of pleasure playing in. This cottage is situation in a great centre spot with Fowey 2 miles down the road and within easy reach to The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan both worth a visit..The local pub is just down the road but if your happy to drive a mile to the next town then The Rashleigh Inn, Polkerris is worth the drive. Fabulous characterful cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was wonderfully equipped with everything and more that you could need. We arrived to find a lovely welcome tray of tea, coffee, homemade scones and jam, with milk and clotted cream in the fridge - just what we needed after a 4 hour journey. We spent lots of time walking our dog on the beach, 5 mins walk away, and along the cliff path. There were lots of places to visit within a few miles drive, including Lost Gardens of Heligan, Fowey and Mevagissey. We are planning a visit again to this lovely comfy cottage

A home from home in a brilliant holiday location

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was beautifully clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need for a full house and a few more! The beds very comfy and the bath water hot, hot hot.The location is excellent - walking distance of a lovely beach with sparkly sand and caves (if you go own the lane between the houses opposite at dusk you will also come across the most rabbits I've ever seen in one place all keeping the grass short!). Can also recommend taking the coastal path walk around to Polkerris where there's a lovely little beach, pub and eateries. It is also brilliantly close to the Eden project. We had a great weekend with just the two of us and are already talking about the possibility of a return trip with the whole family some time.

Cosy cottage in a great location.

  • 5 of 5

The four of us plus dog easily fitted into the cottage. Lots of nearby dog walk including coastal path and beach. The cottage is cosy and had everything we needed. Also shops and pubs within walking distance.

From the Owner

I adore Cornwall and this is my favourite part. I love the sea and wanted somewhere near the beach. We like visiting Heligan. It is only a 4.5 hour drive from Surrey if you leave early, so I find it convenient. The local pub is great and I love the people here.

From the Owner

I love being so close to the beach and that is the best thing for me. I really appreciate having a couple of dedicated parking spaces. Another thing I value is the kitchen and dining room. I do a lot of cooking when I am here. As soon as I arrive at the cottage I relax and all is good in the world!
