House in Los Alcazares, Costa Calida / Murcia, Spain - Perfect Location Near To Beach And Entertainment

Casa Patricia is a good quality holiday townhouse in the Playa 2 complex that's only a couple of minutes' walk to beaches, bars, supermarkets, and international restaurants. No car is needed if you don't want to drive as everything is on your doorstep. Its used by the owner and their family for part of the year so fittings are of a good quality 'home from home' standard. The two upstairs bedrooms can be set up as two double rooms or a double and two singles (heavy duty beds so they stay together during the night!). A good quality double sofa bed in the lounge creates an extra bedroom downstairs at night if needed. Private south facing garden with terrace for al fresco dining. Lounge, fully fitted kitchen and dining on ground floor. An extra toilet is on the ground floor. Bathroom including shower and toilet is on the first floor. Stairs lead to the roof terrace for all day sun bathing. Fridge freezer and sink in roof terrace store for those who want to spend the day on the sun loungers provided. Canopies are fitted to provide shaded areas on roof terrace and on the front terrace when needed. Good size pool in well maintained communal garden area with paddling pool for young children. 30 yards walk around the corner from the pool making it so much more peaceful! Free WiFi and UK TV, sports channels and films on demand. Play Station 2. Beach towels provided. Cleaned before you arrive and again when you depart. Plenty of fresh linen and towels available. Washing machine and fully fitted kitchen. Air conditioning and ceiling fans for comfort. Heating for the winter evenings if needed. Meet and greet service at the house when you arrive. Taxi from airport around 10 euros if not hiring a car. Two top class golf courses at either end of the town. The beautiful Mar Menor is only a few hundreds yards stroll from the house. Five minutes drive from Murcia airport and 45 minutes from Alicante airport. A dozen golf courses within half an hour or so drive. Two cots, a high chair and child safety gate is provided for guests with very young children.

About Chris Kelly

I’m Chris Kelly and my wife is Eileen. We live and work in North East England but spend four or five weeks every year relaxing in Murcia. We have friends and grown up children who use the house for a few weeks each year and it’s available as a holiday let for the rest of the year.

We've thought about retiring to Spain but we're still in our fifties so not ready for that just yet. We are spending more and more time there as we love it so much so its a gradual process!

The local community in Los Alcázares is very international with mainly Spanish, English, Scandinavian, French and Dutch residents and holidaymakers. It’s been a favourite holiday destination for the Spanish for over a century and once you’ve experienced the relaxed atmosphere of the area it’s easy to see why everyone loves it. It’s a laid back area during the day but has a vibrant feel at night with mainly couples, families and golfing groups

What makes this house unique

The townhouse is perfect for those looking for a relaxing break in Murcia within five minutes walking distance of beaches, bars, large supermarkets, summer fairground and international restaurants. It has its own private roof terrace with full sun from sunrise to sunset as well as two terraces on the ground floor. There is a lovely shared pool in the well maintained gardens to cool off in and a shallow pool for young children.

"Great Winter Break"

We visited in December and the weather was warm during the day and the heating was excellent for the chilly nights. The patio was great for breakfast in the sun every morning and the roof terrace was great for afternoon sun.

Restaurants were plentiful very good quality and only five minutes walk away.

The walk along the Mar Menor was delightful and relaxing with plenty stop off points along the way for a coffee or beer.

We play gold and played Roda and Serena courses whilst visiting and they proved a challenging and enjoyable golfing experience.

The house is very well equipment with good home comforts and quality finish.

We would definitely stay here again

"Lovely house in a great location"

This was our first time in a house rather than an apartment and the extra space was a fantastic bonus to the holiday. We loved the house, the area, the new friends we made and will definitely be coming back next spring. The owners had arranged return airport transfers for us and we shown around the house when we arrived. We're always a little wary when seeing somewhere for the first time but everything was spotless. Quality cotton sheets and nice towels added to the welcoming feel of the place. Even the cutlery was high standard which made it feel more like we were house guests rather than a holiday let.

Although it was a quieter period there was still lots of places to eat or have a few drinks in the evenings. Nothing outstanding really but we never had cause to be disappointed by any of the food. Surprisingly low prices made it all very good value. Definitely recommend this place for anyone planning a holiday in Murcia.

"Lovely relaxing break. Fantastic location"

We stayed here after a recommendation from friends who'd been earlier in the year. It's a lovely house with everything that we were looking for. Most mornings were spent strolling along the seafront after breakfast before sunbathing and reading by the pool or on the roof terrace. We didn't travel around the area as this holiday was just to recharge the batteries but we loved Los Alcazares. We ate out most nights and there were lots of options. Richard's favourite was the Curry Leaf (I think that was what it was called) but I loved the atmosphere in El Patio. Fantastic steak cooked on a huge BBQ. The location of the house was perfect as we were only a short walk from the beaches or the nightlife but in a peaceful area of the town. It was our first time in Murcia but we'll definitely be returning here next year

Fantastic property, perfectly placed in a lovely area

First time to Los Alcazares,left the booking quite late and a lot of property’s already booked for Easter. Was a little wary as this property was still available though it looked great on the website. My mind was put to rest by the excellent communication from Chris and his help & suggestions for the local area. We arranged our transfers through Mandy - same cost as a taxi and no risk that taxi wouldn’t know exact location of the property. Mandy also very kindly got some bits in for us from the supermarket as we arrived when they were all closed on Easter Sunday evening.

The townhouse was furnished to a very high standard and had everything we needed. Plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery, utensils, towels & tea towels etc. We had panini a couple of lunch times using the grill on the great roof terrace, and breakfast on the front terrace each morning. The bedrooms were very comfortable with lots of storage. Laundry baskets handy for the mid-week wash I did - dried in no time on the roof terrace.

Didn’t use the pool as was quite early in the season.

Los Alcazares very nice - lots of bars/restaurants/shops plus supermarkets within 10 mins walk. Beach slightly further for leisurely walks along the 7km promenade via a beach bar or two! Thoroughly recommend breakfast at L’Encarnacion in the beautiful courtyard too.

Went on local bus to Lo Pagan and Cartagena - very efficient service and easily do-able if you plan which bus you will take there & back as not an hourly service. Very cheap fares. Did the adventure golf at Golf Deluxe - a 10 minute taxi ride away - good fun!

Watched a bit of tv - Commonwealth Games on at breakfast time when we were there, plus hubby watched the footy one evening before we went out for dinner. Made use of the WiFi - no issues with the service.

All in all, we would thoroughly recommend this property for a break in Los Alcazares - not surprising it is booked up for most of the year now - we were just lucky to get an available week.

5 star Townhouse in Los Alcazares

This ideally situated townhouse, close to all amenities, was a delight. From the front patio garden, with its great outdoor furniture, to the superb roof terrace. Its obvious the owners put a great deal of time and effort into keeping this property smart, comfortable and clean. My wife and I both enjoyed a wonderful stress free relaxing week here. I would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone wishing to stay in a well furnished, superbly located house in Los Alcazares.

February Stay

We enjoyed our long stay in this property,which we found to be ideally situated in Los Alcazares.The house was very well equipped and furnished with new sofas,a well equipped kitchen and bedrooms that had comfy mattresses ,the linens and towels were also of a very good standard.

All communication with the owner was easy and pleasant.

All in all a very good property with everything you need for a lovely stay.

Lovely house in a great location

This is our fourth visit to this lovely house and once again we have had a wonderful time.

The house is in a great location close to the town of Los Alcázares which is only 10 minutes from the airport, and is set on a quiet road but only a couple of minutes walk from supermarkets,restaurants and bars and of course the wonderful Mar Menor beaches

The house itself is equipped to the highest of standards with everything you could want for a great holiday

It has a lovely furnished front terrace which is great to sit on and have breakfast in the morning sunshine and has a large rooftop solarium with top quality sun beds and seating

Satellite tv, wifi, washing machine,dishwasher,air conditioning throughout are just some of the benefits of this great house.

Have no doubt we will be returning to this house again and cannot thank the owners enough for letting us stay in their beautiful home

Perfect break

This property is delightful. It is very comfortable, exceptionally clean and has everything you need, a perfect home from home. It is well positioned with a fabulous roof terrace for the sun worshipper. Easy walking distance to all the amenities and close to the airport. We have had a super week and hopefully will come again.

A couple of hundred yards stroll to a five kilometre stretch of beaches along the Mar Menor. This is a a huge non tidal lagoon with shallow calm waters. The biggest swimming pool in the world!

Murcia San Javier airport is less than ten minutes drive away. 25 euros return transfer for up to four people. Car hire is not necessary as everything is on your doorstep. However, car hire is available in the town if required for exploring.

Alicante airport is 45 -55 minutes direct drive along the motorway.
