Guestbook comments from the owner

Have never willingly chosen to return to the same holiday destination till we came to the Villa La Rose des Vents. If possible would stamp our fortnight here every year for the rest of our lives. Wonderful Home not just a House. It feels like you belong here. All the comforts you could ever need or desire. Heated Swimming pool to die for. Fantastic out door kitchen. Perfect location away from it all with no light pollution at night yet walking distance to a wonderful Village with true French atmosphere. A number of fine Restaurants to suit all tastes and fantastic markets twice weekly. Nice touches such as Boules area and beautiful Fish pond with delightful bridge from which to feed the fish. As keen Cyclists, the area is fantastic. Perfect roads, steady climbs and fantastic descents and typically beautiful villages to stop for a bite. Villa is spotless. Kitchen well stocked, a pleasure to cook in. Love the upstairs living area, especially the masses of DVD's and books. Heaven!

Herbst-Urlaub in der Provence

  • 5 of 5

It has been lovely coming back to this house

  • 5 of 5

It has been lovely coming back to this house. Thank you again for a fantastic holiday in the south of France. I don't think that we could find any other better place to stay in France other than here! Your home is really one of a kind. We have been on many holidays abroad but staying here has by far got to be the best! Thank you again for the wonderful fresh eggs from your chickens. Your energy and hard work is evident all over this house and your attention to detail and great taste in furnishing made this somewhere we didn't want to leave!. We would love to return next year, we will be in touch. With much love.

  • 5 of 5

Stunning villa in great location

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived the owners, Steve and Ariadne were their to greet us. They gave us a tour showing where everything is and how things worked. They very generously left a welcome gift of some wine, champagne and eggs from their chickens. The villa itself exceeded our expectations. First of all it was a lot bigger than we thought (unusual as most holiday properties are disappointing on size), very clean and tidy and superbly equipped. Our two older teenage kids loved the place (high praise indeed for that age!). We were all very happy to just stay here most of the time rather than do a lot of touring as it was so lovely. Highly recommend such a great place.

Owner's Response: What a pleasure it is to receive such cultured people, that really are capable of appreciating the investment, finance and work, made by ourselves and staff! The pleasure is doubled when the young people in the family are so respectful of other peoples property and yet are able to use the facilities to the full. We acknowledge that personal attention to detail is everything, from the moment the guests drive through the gates, their introductory tour of the villa and facilities, the welcome gifts, our availability to help (if required) during their stay until we say "au revoir!" when they leave. We sincerely hope to welcome these lovely people back soon.

Absolutely Spot on!

  • 5 of 5

After ticking my requirements on Owners Direct for a villa in the South of France, I couldn't believe that this villa came up as a possibility for only 4 persons, but I can say, I'm glad it did!

We took a few days to leisurely drive down from the UK through the Alps to find Villa La Rose des Vents just on the outskirts of the unspoiled and charming Fayence. We were met by the owner Steve & Ariadne who, after a proud - and rightly so - tour, left us to enjoy our holiday with wines, bread and fresh eggs, all done to make us feel welcome. It was not needed, as the moment I pulled through the gates, I felt relaxed and at home.

The Villa exceeded our expectations, Steve had gone to great effort to address all previous comments on this site, our teenage son and daughter could not have been happier! should they have got bored, there was plenty to entertain, even two mountain bikes!

The villa was spotlessly clean and well maintained. I personally loved the outside kitchen and cooked there every evening with my son.

We dragged ourselves away on a few day trips to Monaco, Cannes and St Tropez, which in light of recent events still felt very safe and were well worth the visit.

We would return to this villa like a shot, as there is so much of the local area still to explore and I would like to spend a few more evenings watching the stars by the pool with a cold beer!

Owner's Response: Its true! We have no light or noise pollution for that matter. So watching out for shooting stars next to, or in the pool, at night are "musts". It is reviews like this, and indeed we are accruing many, that are a testament to the hard work of my team: Ariadne, Michelle, Danielle and Marjorie. Without them the attention to detail that we apply would be less possible. We all look forward to welcoming back these lovely people so that when they drive through the gates their sensation of feeling at home will be doubled! A bientot!
