This beautiful cottage style apartment is a brand new refurbished apartment. The apartment has 1 bedroom, a designer kitchen and luxury bathroom, a lounge/diner with double sofa bed and is complete with a original open electric fireplace. The apartment has been interior designed and boasts luxury design and style. Its a ground floor apartment so easy access for families and disabled clients. Its in a very private area with a lovely garden to the rear. It has parking too with its own driveway which for East Runton is very difficult to find.
The cottage style apartment is situated on the high street of East Runton very close to everything you could ever need for a holiday in Norfolk. the apartment has everything you need including iron, ironing board, microwave, oven and hob, toaster, kettle, washing machine, freezer and heating radiators.
The compact apartment is stunning in its appearance and will cater for your every need. The location is perfect right in the heart of the village. We are situated next door to the Fishermans pub, the Charlies Grill pub, newsagents, coffee shops, take aways, fish and chips by the sea, greek restaurant , supermarkets, post office, and many other amenities.
The apartment is literally 500 m down the lane to the most picturesque beaches north Norfolk has to offer.
East Runton has one of Norfolk best coastlines great for the kids and families but also for ramblers and walkers, cyclists, surfers and recreational persons.
East Runton is a small village in Norfolk, England situated close to the North Sea. It was once a traditional fishing village outside Cromer but is now a popular holiday destination for camping and caravan holidays. The village is within the parish of Runton that also includes West Runton. The village is 1.3 miles (2.1 km) west of Cromer, 1.7 miles (2.7 km) east of West Runton, 2.7 miles (4.3 km) east of Sheringham and 21.7 miles (34.9 km) north of Norwich. The village lies on the A149 coast road but most of the dwellings can be found just south of the road, nestled around the two village greens. The population in the 2001 census was shown as 1,633 (includes West Runton) in 784 households. The parish area is 544 hectares.
There are three public houses in East Runton: the Fishing Boat and the White Horse Inn and Dozy Dormouse . The Fishing Boat is the older of the inns, and is on the title map of 1840, although it was simply called the ‘Boat Inn’ then. In 1734 it is recorded that a court was held at the inn and it was then called the ‘Three Horse Shoes’. The White Horse Inn is first recorded in 1851. There is also a social club in the village which is known as ‘Bernies’ Corner House in Beach Road which in years prior was an amusement arcade but this changed to current usage in around 1982. Bernie's was named after Bernie Parkin whose father Reginald (Snr) originally had bought the place and had run it as an amusement arcade. Next door is a fish and chip shop. This was run for some time (especially during the 1980s) by John Parkin (Bernie's brother).
The beach at East Runton is popular with the surfing fraternity. Located on a cliff-top, the Surfers' Memorial was unveiled in 2003. The weather vane is topped with a figure depicting a surfer. At the base of the memorial a plaque commemorating the lives of four young surfers is inscribed with the words Waves come & go my friends but your lights shine on.

Not a good weekend
Arrived at the cottage at 2pm ready for check in only to realise I couldn't find any clear email stating what the key passcode was for key safe, so called the numbers given to me on the welcome pack emailed to me the week before. I rang the man listed for the maintenance and asked him if he could tell me the passcode only to find he had not worked with the owner for over 2 years and couldn't help me. So I emailed owner to ask for the key passcode as couldn't get in.
A lady then turned up very apologetic but hadn't been in the cottage to clean as she had a family emergency, she asked if I could go away for a few hours so she could clean, we said we would go for an hour as it would mess up our pre arranged plans if we couldn't get in any sooner and we had already travelled a couple of hours in the car with our little dog who was waiting to get out and explore. So we returned after an hour or so to a "newly refurbished" cottage which was hadn't had any attention for a long while, the skirting boards were falling off the walls and the garden was full of old broken furniture, generally a shabby flat and the parking was a complete nightmare, constantly being shut in by one of the neighbours and there friends, was a very disappointing start to our holiday having paid a lot of money for a long weekend which was our only holiday that year.
The cleaning lady returned with a set of keys and explained that the owner had received my email earlier and had told her he didn't know what was going on, so as far as he knew we were still sat waiting to get in and didn't bother to reply to us.

Utility Room: We have a secure shed in the rear of the garden to store any belongings whilst your on stay. i.e. suitcases or surf boards or bikes. This also holds a bbq which you can use for the garden.
