Luxurious Modernised Property, in a peaceful location walking distance to Village close to Beaches

The APARTMENT which has been recently renovated occupies the entire ground floor of the villa and includes a spacious ensuite studio at the side of the villa and has EXCLUSIVE use of grounds terraces and pool. It is completely self-contained. THE FIRST FLOOR IS NEVER RENTED SEPARATELY.(Pictures 25, 26 & 27)

It is only a five-minute walk from the centre of the ancient village of Collobrieres and is set in peaceful wooded grounds and gardens with panoramic views and a full-size lovely pool with motorized safety cover, a play area with swings and ping pong table.

The location is ideal for all kinds of holidays. It is within easy access to beaches, the marina with excursions and water sports, and theme parks and kayaking for outings.

The apartment offers 4 full sized comfortable air-conditioned double bedrooms consisting of:

One double-bedded bedroom with en-suite shower room and two twin-bedded bedrooms, a further shower room and a separate toilet and a fourth comfortable double bedroom with shower and toilet, TV and air-conditioning in the studio.

All bedrooms have garden / village views with French doors opening onto terraces / garden and are AIR CONDITIONED.

There is also a modern fully-equipped air-conditioned kitchen / living room with French doors opening onto terraces and garden.

Other facilities include a large outdoor BBQ, free WiFi, satellite TVs and DVD player utility area with washing machine and dryer.

There is a weekly housekeeper & pool / gardener. Other domestic and food facilities can be arranged.

All linen towels and beach towels supplied. Cots and high chairs supplied if required.


The ENTIRE HOUSE can be available during certain periods by special arrangement. We only had to walk into the garden and see the

panaramic views and potential of the villa to decide to buy it. We spent over a year renovating, planting the garden and installing a new pool - worth every effort.

What makes this apartment unique

As we say in the description the house is so conveniently situated for both peace and stunning views yet close to the village with its restaurants and shops so there is no sense of isolation. Just as important, It is easy to reach the coast, on relatively quiet roads even in summer or many of the other holiday facilities in the area.

Although a classic provencal villa, it has been extensively modernized and has every modern convenience and comfort.

The gardens are all around the terraces and the wooded area ideal for the swing area

ping pong.

The pool also has a lovely view from the sun deck and has the security of the motorized safety cover

We couldn't have asked for more from our stay at Les Chenes Sessiles. From the moment we arrived, welcomed by Barbara and Valentijn, we felt at home, relaxed and comfortable. The house is lovely. So peaceful, and such a beautiful view. It really was a wonderful place to spend our honeymoon!

Collobrieres is so well positioned to explore the area, just a short drive to so many great places. The town itself is the classic French market village. We spend most of our afternoons playing petanque under the shade of the plane trees by the river. Bliss!

Thank you so much, Barbara and Valentijn, for helping us to start our married life is such a lovely way!

Notes on accommodation: A luxurious fully modernized 3 bedroomed self-contained apartment with the additional two bedroomed en suite atelier. The apartment is a five to ten minute walk to the village of Collobrieres. Set in an acre of wooded land with a gardens, it has a full size swimming pool and panoramic views and is an easy 30 minute drive from beaches and a Marina. The entire house is also an option on request and sleeps can sleep 10. The town has very good facilities including food shops, restaurants, hotels and tennis courts and bike hire. There are also art galleries and gift shops. There is a pharmacy, a doctor’s surgery, a dentist. It is a half hour's drive to the beach, (La Londe, which has long shallow beaches and a marina, and Bormes les Mimosas). Boats can be hired here and trips arranged. There are several ferries to the Islands. Hyeres is about half an hour away, and St Tropez, Le Lavandou & Toulon are three quarters of an hour, whilst Aix en Provence is an hour. Outside: The property has gardens and terraces accessible from all the bedrooms as well as the living area. There is a wooded area and a play area with swings. There are areas for outdoor dining and garden furniture. The pool is private and is 5 metres by 10 metres in size.

Peaceful villa in the artistic and traditionally French and rustic Collobrieres

We had a lovely 2 week stay at this villa in Collobriere.

The set up was perfect for us as a family of 5 with the 3 air conditioned double bedrooms in the main house and the double bedroom ensuite studio on the side for the grandparents.

The pool was lovely and clean as well as being a perfect temperature and plenty of sun beds to lay on next to it.

It's quite a steep hill to walk into the village but not much of a distance at all.

Barbara and Valentine were always on hand if there were any problems or requests.

All in all a fabulous stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Attentive hosts, beautiful location.

Accommodation here is very well presented and the kitchen is the best equipped I've stayed in. The knives are very sharp and there is even a blender! Lovely pool area with an excellent (extra to the fence) security cover for peace of mind for those with little ones.

Wonderful family holiday in Collobrieres

We just spent two wonderful weeks at Barbara and Valentijn's house!

Being a family of 7 we rented the whole house. We - the grandparents - occupied the first floor and our children and grandchildren had lots of space on the ground floor. That was perfect for us! Valentijn and Barbara were extremely welcoming and helpful and made us feel at home right away. They had even arranged fresh flowers in every room! They also provided basics such as tea, coffee, milk, butter etc. - and a bottle of wine!

We had been in touch with them several times before we arrived and it was good to finally meet them. Having this fine personal contact meant the world to us!

The description of the house meant that our expectations were high. And we were certainly not disappointed! On the contrary! The standard is a 5-star hotel, but also much more. It is a home, personal, very elegant and practical. We had all we needed in the kitchens and bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable with crisp white linen. It was the best beds we ever had in Southern Europe!

The view from the first floor is stunning and the balcony is perfect for enjoying the fresh air in the morning and the very clear stars at night.

The pool is amazing in every way and we spent many hours there. Perfect size, very clean, and with beautiful surroundings.

The first week the temperature was moderate, but that changed and we had to make use of the aircon. It worked in every room! Super!

Collobrieres is a charming village and has everything you need. The butcher is quite an experience! You can get cheese, marvelous fruit and vegetables on the market twice a week. Hotel des Maures has an excellent restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices and very friendly waiters!

We are very grateful for our two weeks in Barbara and Valentijn's house and we highly recommend it!

Lovely house in Collobrieres

Agree with other reviews, the spec of the house is very good. Air con in the bedrooms made a big difference. The pool is excellent with a good aspect. Plenty of sun loungers and places in the shade. Valentin and Barbara were great hosts both with local information and introduced me to the local wine co-op which is also excellent. They kindly posted my daughters shoes that we had left behind. Collobrieres is a classic Provence town, nice atmosphere, there are some good restaurants where the food is local and great value. There were numerous festivals during our visit. Area is very good for road biking btw, very popular. In summary, a perfect base to explore the area or laze by the pool. Easily accommodates eight.

Fantastic Family Holiday

My extended family and I have recently returned from a most wonderful week at Barbara and Valentijn's apartment in Collobrieres. Having enjoyed two nights in Cannes en-route we were pleasantly surprised at how easily accessible the village of Collobrieres was, only a short hour and an half down the motorway and having arrived early for lunch in the village, our hosts graciously allowed us to gain access an hour earlier than promised, enabling an immediate (and welcome) cool off in the pool for our two children. The property was fantastic with a well-equipped kitchen which facilitated preparation of evening meals which were enjoyed by all under the wisteria on a large and cool terraced dining area. The swimming pool surpassed any we had in a holiday rental before and proved very popular with both sunbathing parents and aquatic children. Again as with the pool, the bedroom accommodation were excellent with the most comfortable bed, and the addition of a welcome pack of toiletries and bathrobes made it feel more like a five star hotel than a holiday let. This level of comfort was replicated in the separate studio which allowed grandparents some additional space during the stay. A decent wifi signal was apparent throughout the stay which proved a welcome distraction for the children in the evening. The location worked well for us being only a half-hour to an hour away from towns such as Hryeres, Toulon and Saint Tropez, and the five minute walk to the village was often rewarded with a game of Pétanque and a cool beer.

While we had not anticipated our hosts to be staying on site while we holidaying, this proved not to be an issue as it had no impact on the privacy of the apartment or facilities such as the pool / outdoor areas, and the polite interaction and local knowledge provided only served to assist with our enjoyment of the area. Thanks again to both for the wonderful holiday and we look forward to returning again soon.

We just spent 2 weeks at this villa - 4 adults and 4 children. The villa is high spec and everything is provided (even beach towels). The local village is really friendly with plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from. Only downside is 20 minute drive to nearest big supermarket although there is a corner shop in the village for essentials. We will definitely go back at some point. Weather was 30c everyday and the kids loved the pool. A great base to explore southern France.

Although the village is in a peaceful location many facilites are nearby, such as theme parks, and white water rafting, kayacking and water sports. Special interest holidays:

Cycling (bikes can be hired) and walking are very popular activities. The countryside is very varied.

It is a unique unspoiled environment and although close to the coast the local roads are in general untroubled by the heavy traffic found on coastal routes in summer.

The beaches are only 25/30 minutes away and are popular for all kinds of sailing, boat trips and swimming. The village has tennis courts.

There are several festivals which are very popular (see Collobrieres website) and

a market every Thursday and Sunday, with local specialities on sale.

The ancient and charming village of Collobrieres is a five to ten minute walk from the house depending on whether you are walking up or downhill!

The location offers a varied choice of activity and type of holiday.

Just relax around the pool and wander into the village for a meal or eat on the terrace overlooking the panoramic view. Otherwise the beaches, with all the facilities you could need, are less than

half an hour away. Walking and cycling are favourite pastimes in the area all year round. The climate is of course famously

wonderful and pleasantly warm through Spring and Autumn.

There are a number of good restaurants and bars to enjoy, and the village butcher prepares a daily special which saves time in

the kitchen and allows more time around the pool.

There are shops providing all everyday needs and there is a

doctor, dentist and pharmacist if needed.

The village is very lively and certainly not just a summer vacation location with colourful festivals which occur throughout the year, especially in October. Also known for its crafts with several art galleries and craft shops in the centre, it is the “Capital” of the chestnut growing area and is famous for its produce, which adds to the variety of crafts and produce available.
