Detached Private Villa in Orba, Costa Blanca North, Spain - 10 Minutes Walk to Village of Orba with Stunning Mountain Views, Near To Coast

Villa Aspre is a traditional detached Spanish villa that has been lovingly restored and furnished to a very high standard by the owners. It is set in its own private terraced plot with an attractive established Mediterranean garden and has fantastic views of the village of Orba and the mountains beyond. It is an ideal base for couples for that romantic getaway or for couples with children.

There are various terraces where you can relax on sun loungers (cushions provided), swim in your own pool or enjoy dining out al fresco overlooking the pool and the fantastic mountain scenery. There is also ample shading created.

The villa has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds, fully fitted bathroom with WC and a separate guest toilet. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, electric kettle and toaster. There is also a utility area where there is a wash machine for your use. In the comfort of the sitting room there is a flat screen TV which has British programmes and satellite connection, free WiFi, DVD player and an iPod docking station for your enjoyment.

For those hot days the villa has air conditioning in the sitting room and master bedroom with ceiling fans in the enclosed Naya (sun room) and kitchen, with a floor fan in the second bedroom. The villa also has fly screens and outer roller sun blinds fitted to each window throughout and a large roll down sun blind for the sun room.

Orba is an attractive Spanish village as featured in the television program 'A Place in the Sun' which is only a short 10 minute walk away. Orba has a wide variety of shops, banks, health centre, supermarket and a great selection of restaurants where you can eat Spanish tapas and three course meals with wine for a very reasonable price. Some of the bars have outside terraces with live music. It is also an ideal base to explore the beautiful area.

A welcome pack is provided as well as bedding and towels (beach towels not included).

About Shirley Renouf

We are an active couple who likes to travel which we have done extensively in the past throughout the world and with our caravan throughout Europe and of course Spain. We also both like to keep fit by walking in the area and doing various other exercise activities.

Why Shirley Renouf chose La Marina Alta

When we first came to Spain in 2005 we fell in love with the area of Costa Blanca North as it is very green all year round, great climate, beautiful scenery and friendly people. After holidaying in Orba we decided to take the plunge and buy a villa with fantastic views which was always on our wish list and we have never looked back. The views from our villa are spectacular which we never get bored with as each day the view changes from dawn to dusk. We have taken many beautiful sunset pictures from our terrace. In the evening the village lights up as well as the three mountain villages beyond which we can see towards the Vall de Laguar.

The villa stands in its own terraced plot with an established Mediterranean garden and has many native plants such as olive trees, carob trees, etc.

What makes this villa unique

Our property is nicely situated as you can walk to the town of Orba within 10 minutes where there are a wide variety of shops, banks, health centre, a good sized supermarket and a great selection of restaurants where you can eat Spanish tapas and three course meals with wine for a very reasonable price. Some of the bars have outside terraces with live music in the summer and in the main square there are cafes where we like to sit and have coffee even during the winter months.

In the summer (and winter months) we enjoy sitting on our terrace overlooking the pool and mountains enjoying a glass of wine or dining and watch the sun go down. In the evenings in the summer you can still enjoy the outdoor life and we are always kept busy as there are many things to do in the area.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is not suitable for young toddlers or for people with limited mobility as there are one or two small steps between the terrace levels and the pool. No pets are accepted and we kindly request that you do not smoke in the house. A welcome pack is included. Outside: Private swimming pool (7.5m x 4.5m), 4 sun loungers with cushions, mosaic dining table with 4 chairs and cushions. Parasol. Covered shaded areas and outside shower. Established Mediterranean garden with various terrace levels. The area around the pool has total privacy. Utility Room: Washing machine, ironing board, iron, clothes horse and outside rotary clothes line. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The villa is professionally cleaned after each let and clean bedding and towels are provided at that time. Please bring your own beach towels. If you require a mid-stay clean there will be an additional charge. Other: Dining Room/Sun Room: Table with 4 chairs, 2 armchairs, coffee table, wall unit with games, books and a radio cassette player with 2 speakers (which has a connection for MP3), and ceiling fan.

Great little villa, pool and views

A lovely little villa in a quite area, hardly overlooked, spacious, well equipped, and marvelous pool - with a view while you're swimming! The location is perfect to explore the Marina Alta and neighboring beaches and coastlines.

Having just returned from my second villa holiday I now appreciate the service (communication) and small touches that made the experience more than satisfactory. (So sorry to the proprietor for not submitting my review until now!)

We had a wonderful week here with our 10 year old daughter and spent a lot of time by the pool as well as sightseeing and the beaches, which are 20mins+ by car. Orba, which has a few good restaurants, is a short walk away and only slightly steep on the last leg back. Breakfasts in the nya with that view were so memorable.

As mentioned the info and communication before we went was brilliant. Lots of detail and good directions, with a lot more to help in the folder we found in the villa. I would definitely recommend this villa.

Fabulous villa in a great little village

The villa was more than we had hoped for & exactly as listed. We wanted a quiet relaxing holiday & this is exactly what we got. The villa is not overlooked, so lying by the pool was a joy & incredibly peaceful. The property is clean & very well maintained. Orba is within a short walk with access to shops, bars & restaurants making it all for a really easy, no hassle holiday! We had a great time!

Small and perfectly formed.

Smart house in an excellent location. Easy walk into Orba although the climb back can be challenging post-refreshment. Sleeps 2+2 rather than 4 as the second bedroom is a twin without air-conditioning. Clean, fairly well equipped and with small terraces in all the right places for chasing/avoiding the sun. Very clever plantings/landscapings mean almost entirely unoverlooked even though in densely developed area.

Cal Morel restaurant at the bottom of the hill provides properly fantastic cooking for the open-minded gourmand - picky eaters go elsewhere.

The beautiful port of Denia is a 20 minute drive away. It has many good beaches, bars and restaurants and a bustling nightlife. Other good coastal resorts of Javea, Moraira and Calpe are just a 30 minute drive away. There are many picturesque Spanish villages in the area to visit a short distance away which have many good local fiestas to choose from during the Summer time. Orba's main summer fiesta takes place during the first week of August.


Orba is situated between Alicante and Valencia airports at about the same distance of 90 km which takes approx 60 minutes by car via the AP7 motorway. Car hire is highly recommended although there is a new bus service (BeniConnect) from Alicante and local taxi firms.


Orba 10 minutes walk away or 2 minutes by car.

The beautiful Jalon Valley is only 10 minutes away by car which also has good local weekly markets, bars and restaurants.

Denia and beaches 20 minutes by car, whilst Javea, Calpe and Moraira approx 30 minutes away.

Quadalest and the beautiful Algar Waterfalls 1 hour drive.

Benidorm 40 minutes by car on the AP7 where there are many theme park attractions, such as Terra Mitica, Aqualandia water theme park and Mundomar dolphin/seal show.

Further Details:

The motorway AP7 is within easy reach (10 minutes by car) where La Marina indoor shopping centre is situated which has many good designer shops.

Changeover Day:
Our bookings run usually from and to a Saturday during peak times (July/August) but this can be flexible. Guests are requested to leave by 10.00 am so that we may prepare the villa for the next guests. The villa will be available after 2.00 pm.

Booking Notes:
A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid in full 10 weeks prior to arrival. A £200 damage deposit is also required with the balance which is fully refundable (dependent upon no damages or breakages found) shortly after the end of your stay. Any late bookings of less than 10 weeks prior to arrival, payment is required in full.
