beautiful retreat

  • 5 of 5

Lovely homely cottage in the beautiful norfolk countryside. Gorgeous enclosed garden - wonderful for the dog. Unfortunately we did not have the weather to fully enjoy it but when the sun is out it's really nice to open the patio doors and just chill. Many lovely country homes and gardens to visit and the beaches are amazing even in the wind and the rain!! Vast with lots of space - the dog loved running loose on them. We explored the whole Norfolk coast from Caister on the East all the way up and round to Holkham on the North. Some really friendly welcoming pubs with great food - the Ship Inn at Mundesley, the Vernon Arms at Southrepps, the Gunton Arms at Thorpe Market - all welcome dogs both inside and out. We had a lovely stay here and would definitely return for some peace and relaxation and will recommend to others.

A Wonderful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful short break at the spacious Tanglewood Cottage. With its private garden and comfortable rooms, it was just what we needed and hoped for. A wonderfully private and well looked after clean cottage. The owners live in the farmhouse and wery very welcoming, helpful and happy to point us in the right direction of the local beaches, towns restaurants and pubs. A wonderfully relaxing time, in a wonderful location. We'll definitely be back and have recommended to friends and family already. (In-laws and aunties have already been to visit!) Thank You! See you again soon.

We stay in these lovely cottages every year and the owners accommodate us for our ever expanding family. This year it was addition of a dog and Tanglewood was perfect as it has a secluded, fenced in garden. All the cottages are clean, very well maintained and spacious. The owners are lovely and extremely helpful. The cottages are perfectly situated, close to lots of sandy beaches, most of which are dog friendly, and some lovely country pubs. We have recommended these cottages to friends, some of whom have already visited and, like us, had a very enjoyable stay.
