Coaches Rest Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms)

Coaches Rest, Penquite Farm sleeps 4 with M2 disabled access. This is charming stone built barn and we have taken great care to restore this delightful single storey barn, retaining the traditional old beams and complemented it with beautiful oak flooring. It is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and has a well equipped oak kitchen. The two bedrooms are both en-suite (one has a wet room especially designed for wheelchair use). The paved patio area has a gas barbeque and garden furniture. A large fenced lawn and garden area to play. There is ample off road parking.

If you're looking for a holiday location that offers something a little different, then look no further than the idyllic setting of Penquite Farm. It's the perfect place to stay for a relaxing enjoyable holiday. Hands on animal feeding is always very popular and there is a games room and trampoline. There is so much to do around the area with lots of different river activities, kayaking, fishing, sailing, river trips, local beaches and coastal paths to walk. Bedrooms are ensuite and cots available. You'll love it ! Local Pub & restaurant in the village.

About Ruth Varco

My husband (John) and I have lived and farmed here all our lives. We, of course, have help from our wonderful and beautiful springer spaniel called Tom. He loves people and is very good with children.

We are very fortunate to live in such a wonderful location overlooking the Fowey River and in a peaceful riverside village with a local pub within walking distance. We do try and sample the ale at least once a week! We are also very fortunate to live beside a beautiful 13th Century Church (some visitors think we actually own the Church) but of course we don't !

We love our way of life and our idyllic location and we'd love your Company - so come and join us for a wonderful week away from it all and relax and enjoy a home-made Cornish Cream tea on your arrival.

Booking Notes:
Bookings can be made at any time. A provisional booking is held for 7 days and a deposit of 25% is required. The final payment is required 28 days before the holiday. Confirmation of your booking will be sent to you when the deposit has been received.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are Friday in Coaches Rest and Saturday in Church Meadow and The Old Granary.
Out of season Oct to April/May (excluding Christmas, New Year and half term) changeover can be any day of the week. Please ring for details.

Absolutely fabulous

Amazing property with everything you could possibly want for home comfort. Fantastic views, Quiet area, beautiful location, not too far from supermarkets, fuel stations etc. etc. Property was spacious, extremely clean and well laid out. My mother in law has mobility problems and the accommodation was perfect for her. Ruth the owner was extremely helpful and Tom the dog was lovely. Will for sure come back here again one day.

  • Notes on accommodation: We are always on hand to help with anything that might be needed, you might like some local information or even just a friendly chat. Outside: All the accommodation have large fenced gardens to play, gas barbecues and garden furniture on the patio area. There is a games room with table tennis, pool and a football game. There is also a trampoline and swing/slide frame outside. The main attraction is, of course, the animals at feeding time. The animals are fed everyday at 9am in the morning and it is certainly a very popular time with children who love to feed, stroke and pet the animals. The eggs are collected which can then be taken in for breakfast - Can't get any fresher than that !!
