Glebe House has been refurbished for this season and provides outstanding self-catering family accommodation equipped to the highest standards. Glebe House will appeal to discerning families who wish to enjoy a family holiday in a beautiful location with easy access to all areas of the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The refurbishment work has created an enlarged Kitchen/Dining/Family-Room; a wonderful area for the whole family to gather in. We are very pleased with the result and hope our guests will be too. A new en-suite shower room has been installed and other bathrooms have been refurbished.

Whether you are looking for beautiful beaches, or you are a walking, golfing, sailing or bird watching enthusiast this is a great place to take a holiday. Glebe House is equipped with all modern conveniences and is attractively furnished to a high standard. Aveton Gifford is a pretty village with a strong sense of community located in the South Hams district of Devon an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The village is ideally located to explore this beautiful part of Devon. The village surroundings comprises an area of hills and valleys and in addition to the River Avon there are numerous smaller watercourses which have shaped the land. In common with the surrounding parishes Aveton Gifford contains a wide variety of plant and animal life and there is much to see for the visitor with an interest in wildlife. Within the area there are a number of footpaths and bridleways and for nature lovers a walk or ride along them is usually well rewarded at any time of year. The village sits at the start of the tidal road to Bigbury where the Avon estuary both at high and low tide is filled with a wonderful array of birds, including oyster catchers, little egrets, curlews, redshanks and swans to name but a few. A very pleasant walk can be enjoyed alongside this scenic estuary, where many a photograph has been snapped, but it is impassable at high tide.

We have just returned from a week at Glebe House, it's the first holiday I've never wanted to come home from. The accommodation was home from home, beds were so comfy and we all slept extremely well. You are located whereby everything you want to see and visit is close by. The locals are very friendly and helpful. The owners l have thought of everything, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go again, thank you once again.

My wife and I bought Glebe House in 2012. We have holidayed in the South Hams for a number of years and have family connections in the area. Our children and grandchildren love the area especially the beaches at Burgh Island and Bantham. We appreciate the close proximity to fabulous walking opportunities some directly from the front door of the house. Having rented holiday homes in the area we soon learned to appreciate the fact that Aveton Gifford is an ideal location for exploring the South Hams. We visit Glebe House regularly and have equipped it with love to a high standard for our own use. We hope that guests enjoy their stay as much as we do.

The nearest beaches are at Bigbury-on-Sea and Bantham where the most impressive expanse of sand in the South Hams can be found.

Bigbury beach is a popular award winning family beach with shallow waters and rock pools to keep children entertained. It is joined by a causeway to the famous Burgh Island with its Art Deco Hotel made famous in the crime novels of Agatha Christie and the 14th century Pilchard Inn.

Bantham is a well known surfing and windsurfing location.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Prices are inclusive of luxury bed linen, all heating, Gas, Electricity, BBQ Gas and welcome tray containing tea making items and a bottle of wine.
**REDUCED OCCUPANCY DISCOUNT** Parties of 5 or less receive a £50 discount on full weekly bookings at Glebe House (excl. any school holidays). We will also consider short breaks out of the high season.

Private enclosed garden, large garden table with six rattan chairs, patio table with two chairs, two sun loungers, gas BBQ Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen is provided however guests will need to bring their own towels. Towel hire can be arranged if required. Property is cleaned and bed linen changed between lets and in the case of a fortnightly booking after the first week.
