The property comprises 2 double bedrooms (one with twin single beds), a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The living room has two balconies, perfect for people watching and views of life in the city. The flat has high ceilings and French windows. It is on the first floor. Postiguet beach, the Explanada, the Rambla, the Town Hall, the Port and the lift to visit Santa Barbara Castle are a couple of minutes walk away. The Ereta Mountain Park is a ten minute walk from the flat. The sea views from there are spectacular. It is also the perfect spot to explore El Barrio de Santa Cruz, near the Castle, with it´s typical white houses, plants and flowers everywhere.Fantastic central location, a few minutes walk to the beach.

Super noisy and old

Our stay was very dissapointing. Photos are wau better than reality. Double bedroom has windows to the street and all the windows are so old that it is so noisy as sleeping outside. Other bedroom, kitchen and bathroom have windows to some trashy place. Also, there was only one wine glass, just some plates. Frying panes are too old to use it anymore. Furthermore, towels were were old and seemed dirty.

Only one good thing is the place, because everything is near by foot. The host was nice, but finally, he did not pick up the phone, so we just left keys.

Owner's Response: Dear Ieva, The apartament is right in the city center, so its not a house in the countryside. The interior windows overlook inside patios, typical in Spain, and they belong to the building, not to my property. The property pictures show exactly how the apartament looks like, so please be fair. Kitchen, bathroom, floors are brand new. You cant expect to have the views and services of a 5 star hotel as the price you paid for 4 people is really good value and you know It. Regarding the last day, we both sent you a message about what to do with the Keys. Have to be fair, and sorry but your review isn't fair at all.

A quirky and comfortable apartment in a great location

David gave us a friendly welcome and introduction to the apartment. He also stayed in helpful contact throughout our stay. It was very clean, quirky and had all the facilities we needed for our 4 night stay. The location of the apartment is great - very central and a short distance from the marina, beach and centre of the town. We expected Alicante to be noisy at night, especially at the weekend, and we were right - earplugs are definitely useful!! We like Alicante but found it to be a bit more polluted than before, which was a bit disappointing. However there's lots to see and do, and well worth a visit.

Brilliant location

The owners couldn't meet us when we arrived and sent a friend to hand over the keys, which was fine. He took us through all the things we needed to know. The apartment was absolutely spotlessly clean. It had all we needed. The kettle wasn't working and was replaced immediately by the owners. We asked for extra sheets as we used both bedrooms - the were delivered that day by the owners. It's fair to say the owners don't bother you, but do whatever is needed to make your stay work. The apartment could do with a bit of improving - the hallway/entrance is a bit run down and the windows in the apartment have seen better days. Everything else was fine - living room, kitchen, bedrooms, toilet and shower all good. We've been to Alicante before and knew what to expect. The location is brilliant - near the beach, shops and a range of bars, cafes and restaurants. Alicante is noisy and Friday/Saturday nights are a nightmare. We knew this and took earplugs! If noise is a problem then this apartment is not for you! Otherwise a really enjoyable stay. Thank you to Marta.

Basic but clean apartment close to the cafes and restaurants and a 10 - 15 min walk to the beach

The apartment is in an old Alicante block with all its charms and quirky layout. The interior was basic but clean and had everything you'd want for short stay. Only downside is no real outside space to enjoy a coffee and croissant however it's only a minute away from many cafes, bars and restaurants. The beach is also a short 10 - 15 minute walk away. The apartment is easy to get to with 20 min C6 bus from the airport dropping you 5 mins away. The tram is also in easy reach if you want to go further afield. Special mention also goes to David who let us into the apartment and gave us a run down of the local area. He was also very flexible with the check out time allowing us to enjoy our last day prior to catching a later flight. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Great location

Entrance to property very run down does not create the right impression

Bare electric wires taped up in plastic bag in kitchen

Better quality bedding would be an improvement .

Outside road on bus route so can be noisy in the mornings.

Owner's Response: Dear Paul Thank you so much for your feedback. Its always useful. By the way, the cable you saw is the antenna cable for the tv in the kitchen; its not live. The entrance belongs to the bulding owners, not us, and it just needs some painting which is programmed for the summer. What was a surprise for us was the amount of rubbish you left inside the property, open food on the counter tops and in the fridge and a huge collection of empty plastic bottles. We dont ask much but it would have been nice if you had taken them out and put them in the bin at the corner of the Street. Marta and David

Great apartment in central location

We stayed in Alicante for a week and really loved the apartment.

It is very nicely decorated with a modern kitchen with dining area, nice living room with tv and the bedrooms had comfy beds with airco.

It is in a great location, close to the beach, shops and restaurants and the bus to the airport was only a 5-minute walK.

We really loved our stay.

5 minutes walk from sandy Postiguet beach, fully equipped with benches, palm trees, sunshades, sunbeds and beach bars.

15 minutes by tram from huge and sandy San Juan beach and undeveloped beach coves of Cabo Huertas, perfect for snorkelling.


15 minutes by taxi from Alicante airport.

The airport C6 bus stop (Plaza del Mar) is 5 minutes walk from the flat. It runs every 20 minutes between 6:30 am and 22:30 pm.

Car hire is not really necessary.


The new tram line takes you up the Alicante coast line as fas ar Denia.

The tram stop is a minute´s walk away from the flat.

Recommended places for a day trip are Villajoyosa, with it´s colourful houses, El Campello, a charming fishing village, Altea or Calpe.

Tabarca island is also a perfect day out to so some snorkelling. The ferry is a 3 minute´s walk from the flat.

The botanical gardens in Elche are highly recommended.
