This is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment which benefits from fantastic sea views from the 3rd floor of this prestigious development and large communal pool. The Bayside resort boasts the largest pool in Sao Martinho Do Porto for guests and is situated just 200 metres from the beach. There is also a child play area to keep the young kids happy. From your apartment you have 2 private balconies and great sea views. There is a table and chairs for eating outside. You'll also find sun loungers for relaxing. There are also some communal sun loungers at the pool side. Inside the property you have 2 bedrooms. One with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The property further benefits from a sofa bed in the lounge meaning it can sleep 6 in total. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. There is air conditioning and central heating included in the rental price should you need it. For lazy evenings you have cable TV with over 100 channels including English channels; you also have free Wi-Fi. Underneath the complex you have private and secure (remote control) garage for parking for 1 car. There is lift access to the apartment. The Bayside resort is highly regarded in the area.

There are huge stretches of magnificent beaches the length of Portugal; you will have no shortage of beautiful beaches to choose from during your stay. The beach around Sao Martinho is very safe as the waters are sheltered and calm, the same is true of the beaches around the Obidos lagoon that is located 15-minutes drive south of Sao Martinho Do Porto.

Travel:

By plane

Flying to Lisbon Airport is recommended if you’re coming from outside Portugal as it is an easy drive along the A8 taking an hour to Sao Martinho Do Porto.

Alternatively you can fly to Oporto (2.5 hour drive) or Faro (3.5 hour drive).

From Lisbon to Sao Martinho Do Porto by public transport

The best way of getting to Sao Martinho on public transport is by Taxi from Lisbon airport to the coach station and then by coach to Sao Martinho Do Porto. Get a taxi to Lisbon’s Sete Rios coach terminal (approx 15 Euros) from the airport. From there you will be able to get a coach direct to Sao Martinho Do Porto; there are several trips per day. You can find out coach times and book tickets at www.rede-expressos.pt but be aware that the website is in Portuguese and there is no English source of this information. Alternatively a taxi one way will cost 90-100 Euros typically.
