Beautiful Stone House, ideal for a family or couples, the property has WIFi, English Tv, a modern kitchen. With everything you will need to relax or cook a lovely meal, there is also a BBQ on the totally private terrace, where you can eat alfresco. the property is in the picturesque village of Homps, with several restaurants and bar, The house is to minutes walk from the canal du midi, where you will find Restaurants, sitting on the edge of the canal, catering for all tastes. You can stroll along the canal, or hire a bike and take a leisurely ride along the canal and stop and have a bite to eat or a glass of wine or two. This is an ideal place to explore the surrounding villages and countryside. The neighbouring village of Olonzac has a very large weekly market, with lots to choose from. This is a fantastic place to while away a few hours and take in the local culture. There is an man made beach only a few minutes drive from the property, an ideal place for children to swim and enjoy themselves, there are also a couple of restaurants on the waterfront.

Vanessa and Andrew Holmes. We have lived in France with our two boys for the last 13 years. We enjoy the slower pace of life and the lovely weather.
This part of France offers fantastic beaches and beautiful scenery.
Carcassonne castle is a must to explore. It is breathtaking.
We manage several apartments and houses on behalf of owners who live in the UK & France but due to work commitments do not have time to take the bookings themselves.

The property is in the village of Homps.
100m to Canal du Midi, close to supermarket and good restaurants.
Walking distance to freshwater lake with swimming and water sports.
Under 40km to Mediterranean beaches.
There is a convenient 24 hour petrol station and a supermarket which is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. This is literally two minutes walk from the house – here you will find lovely fresh bread and croissants for breakfast.
Also within easy walking distance is the Lac de Jouarres where there is a restaurant and picnic areas and water sport facilities including pedalos, windsurfing and canoes in addition to lifeguard-supervised swimming and a man made beach. Ideal for an afternoon spent relaxing and watching the world go by.
The Lac can be reached in less than 10 minutes using a pleasant footpath or there is a good road with ample
The next town of Olonzac is a short drive, here there is a doctor, dentist, pharmacy, banks and ATM, a public park with tennis courts as well as a good range of amenities including supermarkets, restaurants, pizzerias, bars, bakeries etc. An outdoor market is held there every Tuesday morning where farmers and growers sell a wide range of produce and wares.This is a “must see”.

All payment are in pounds sterling.
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking.
The final balance is due 8 weeks before commencement of your holiday.
We also require a £200 Returnable Security Deposit.
Payment can be made on a monthly basis if required. Please ask at the time of booking, no extra charge is made for this.
Change over days are flexible, in July and August we only take weekly or fortnightly bookings.
If you cancel your holiday and there is more than 8 weeks to the commencement. We reserve the right to keep your deposit. If there is less than 8 weeks we reserve the right to keep the full amount.
