Villa near Flayosc, Provence, Alpes, Cote d'Azur, France - Peaceful location just 10 minutes walk to a super Provencal village

This lovely villa is just 10 minutes stroll from the centre of the medieval village of Flayosc. The approach through the vines to this 3 floor property is beautiful. The accommodation is arranged in such a way that two or three families could easily holiday together enjoying lots of inside space as well as the delightful gardens. Three bedrooms and a large living dining room are to be found at garden level whilst at ground level there is a large salon and dining kitchen. A further two bedrooms are to be found on the first floor. The outside space is wonderful with a large, securely fenced 15.5 x 7.5m pool (80cm to 1.8m deep) and a superb fully equipped summer kitchen. There is a boules court and table tennis table nearby. The gardens are mature and well stocked and complement the villa perfectly. There is a superb balcony accessed from the salon with lovely views over the surrounding countryside, outside furniture and a shady pergola for hot summer days.

Calm & relaxing

We booked this villa very last minute, and it was all ready and clean, it set in a very quiet estate, with a very pretty traditional village literally 6-7 minutes walk.

The villa itself is very relaxing, calm and decorated homely throughout, there is even a downstairs apartment, which you could use totally separate from the upper part, it even has a separate enterance, so ideal for multiple families.

The outside is large and set out perfect to intergrate with the house, the pool is huge, great for swimming lengths. The outdoor kitchen is equipt well.

Judith is the manager, she lives local so can advise on places to go and visit, she is very helpful and professional, and being a fellow northerner we got on great.

Ideal house for kids and pets, we had two small children and 4 large dogs, all fit in the villa perfect. No issues.

The only fault I would say, is don't light a fire in the living room, I think the chimney maybe blocked, as we got a room full of smoke ha ha, but the one in the kitchen/dinning room works superb, and very relaxing on an evening.

The weather in Var is superb, it has its own micro climate, this villa is a must if you want an easy relaxing with a touch of luxury.....oh and not a million miles from the coast, and Draguignon itself is a great city, with everything you'd need. Also has an excellent hospital, if you'd ever be unfortunate to need one.

We will be sure to visit again.

Brilliant Villa

We had a fabulous stay here, the villa is great. Its very spacious inside, the pictures do not show how big it really is. The pool is large and very clean and the outside kitchen area is really good to use when you are outside and in the evenings for BBQ's. We sat up on the Balcony area in the evenings which was peaceful and very relaxing. All 5 bedrooms were a good size. A nice town a short walk away which we went to a couple of evenings for a meal, a beach a short drive away. The weather was amazing and I would recommend this place to anyone, I would go back again in an instant.

Activity and Interests


The Riviera is only a short drive away - St Maxime, St Raphael, Cannes, Antibes amongst many other Mediterranean towns and villages. Of course St Tropez is also easily accessible - but remember to take a water taxi from St Maxime in the summer months to avoid the traffic jams to this popular resort situated on a peninsula! Don't forget that there are also beaches at Lac St Croix which are much quieter and just as good if not quite as glamorous as the Côte d'Azur!


The villa is easily accessed by air (Nice 90 kms, Toulon 79 kms and also Marseille), TGV train (Les Arcs-Draguignan - 15kms) and by road (Junction 36 at Le Muy, A8). Car hire is advisable if you wish to take advantage of all of the wonderful villages, the Gorge du Verdon and the coast. However, the village with a huge variety of shops and services is only 20 minutes by foot so visitors may be self sufficient without transport. There is a taxi company based in the village.


The delightful village of Tourtour is 13 km drive. Les Arcs with its lovely medieval quarter is 15 km. The fantastic Gorge du Verdon is less than one hour away. Avignon and its famous bridge is a 2 hour drive and Aix en Provence only 90 minutes. There is too much to see and too many places to visit in this beautiful area. And there's a Provençal market somewhere every day of the week.

Further Details:

The village is well equipped with 2 small supermarkets, butcher, 2 delicatessens,2 bakers, chemist, 3 doctors, a dentist, bank, post office, gift shops, 4 bars 3 of which serve food and (at last count) 8 restaurants! A famous truffle restaurant is to be found in a nearby village only 15 minutes' drive away. The local town of Draguignan is only 8 km away and has large supermarkets and a variety of shops. Provençal markets are held in the local villages every day of the week: Monday Flayosc, Tueday Lorgues, Wednesday Draguignan, Thursday Bargemom, Friday Le Luc en Provence, Saturday Aups and Draguignan, Sunday Le Muy, amongst many others. Flayosc is ideally situated half way between the spectacular Gorge du Verdon and the sophisticated Mediterranean coast. From here you can easily visit Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez, Marseille and the wonderful cities of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Orange are accessible too.

Notes on prices:
The prices from 20 June until 05 September cover up to 10 people. A supplement of 100€ per person is payable for up to a further 4 children (max 14 people). For all other periods the prices cover up to 6 people. Pro rata supplements apply for additional people during these months.   • Notes on accommodation: This villa sleeps 10 people in 5 bedrooms. There are a further 2 double bed settees, one of which can be made up as twin beds if required, which can be used at a supplement for larger groups. Outside: Externally this villa is superb. The large pergola covered terrace outside the main salon is furnished with chairs and tables and overlooks the swimming pool. The very large pool (16.5m x 7.5m, depth 80cm - 1m80) is surrounded by a stone terrace with outside shower. It is securely fenced. A beautiful summer kitchen is adjacent with built in barbecue, gas hob, fridge-freezer, wine fridge, dishwasher, sink with hot and cold water and table seating 12. Close by is a boule court and terraced area with ping pong table. The grounds are delightful with surprises round every corner and offering a great deal of space for children to play and explore. There is more than enough space for a number of cars to park securely behind the electrically operated gates. Utility Room: There is a large laundry room at Garden Level with washing machine, tumble dryer and iron/ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels including pool towels and all linen are provided. Guests are asked to leave 220€ in cash to cover cleaning at the end of their stay. Additional linen and cleaning can be arranged at a supplement on request. Other: At garden level is a further salon/dining room (table seats 8) with sofa bed which can be made up as a double or twin beds.
