Situated in the middle of a heritage village, this traditional townhouse has just been completely remodelled during a year-long renovation. Accommodation comprises of a large open-plan ground floor with inside and outside dining areas and highly specified fitted kitchen with Bosch appliances (including washing machine and dishwasher); air-conditioning (heating and cooling) throughout; first floor sun terrace; enclosed courtyard with a deep splash pool, water feature and sun-loungers.

Everything was perfect.

Alexander was helpful and accommodating before we arrived and his folks were perfect hosts. There when you wanted or needed them. Staying in Maro was a perfect choice for us a quaint, guiet tiny village just a bit down the road from the busy and touristy Nerja. The house looks as good in reality as it does in the pictures. A chef would be happy in the kitchen which has everything you could want or need. There is one small problem... the bedrooms and decks, not to mention the pool, are so nice, you have to remind yourself to get out to see and do the sights. We had a car which was very helpful but there is bus and taxi service as well. Parking was never a problem. We traveled a lot during our stay and access to high speed divided highways was excellect, but you can also twist and turn along the coast and access the many beaches.

La maison d'Alex a tout pour plaire : très belle, très propre, très bien équipée, confortable, dans un beau et calme village tout près de la jolie Nerja et à quelques minutes à pied de la superbe grotte de Nerja... Difficile de trouver mieux!

Depuis Maro, il est très facile de visiter les charmants villages de l'arrière-pays de même que les grandes villes telles Malaga et Grenade, toutes deux à une relative proximité.

Nous recommandons sans hésitation la maison d'Alex et espérons revenir un jour au "Maro townhouse".

Perfect in everyway, you will not be disappointed

Maro Townhouse was just the tonic we needed after having a sight seeing cities tour of the South of Spain for our first week. The house has been renovated to the highest standard with exquisite taste and design with stunning views of the mountains and sea. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, even a welcome pack which we weren't expecting. The house is well positioned with local bars, restaurants and a good walk to the beach. We'll definitely be back, thank you Alex.

There´s no better word to descbribe the house then PERFECT. It´s a beautifully renovated townhouse in a small , charming village.Theres everything you need in the house,from fully equipped kitchen to a small pool on the yard.We absolutely loved it!

The house is in a superb location. The welcome we received was second to none - nothing was too much trouble. All areas, both inside and out, are spotlessly clean. The beds are extremely comfortable. The house is spacious. Everything you need and more is provided.

The photographs really don't do it justice! Absolutely faultless.

I really can't recommend highly enough!

Lovely house with all you need for a relaxing stay

This house house is absolutely stunning. The attention to detail and the quality of the furnishings are outstanding. The photographs of it are lovely but really don't do it justice. The booking process was very easy and all emails were answered quickly.

We received a warm welcome on our arrival and were given some great tips on where to eat out within walking distance.We had a relaxing week here and enjoyed every moment.

I have loved this area for many years, my parents have had a property here for over twenty years so I've seen it develop and improve significantly. Maro is a traditional Andalusian village but very close to the beach and also to Nerja town which has many restaurants and bars. There are lots of great beaches along the coast within a short drive, in addition to the local Maro beach. I bought this house and had an architect draw up plans for a completely new and modern layout behind the traditional village facade.

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 60 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Balcon de Maro at 10 Metres Nearest Golf : Baviera de Golf at 20 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Sierra Nevada at 80 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Maro at 1 Kilometres Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

You can walk or drive to Maro beach which is 1.5km away from the house, it has been voted one of the Costa Del Sol's best beaches and has a beach bar/restaurant and kayak rentals.

Travel:

About 45 minute drive from Malaga airport (72km) and about an hour from Granada (94km). Car hire is recommended but there are buses available.

Distances:

Maro is very close to Nerja, about 3km only.

Further Details:

Maro is a pretty coastal village famous for the Nerja Caves – one of Spain’s most popular and important prehistoric sites. The house is in the centre of the village a few footsteps from the Balcon de Maro with spectacular views.
