A wonderful, detached, stone barn conversion, situated in an idyllic rural position on the edge of the Peak District National Park, in the quiet village of Warslow. Surrounded by lovely countryside, Town End Barn sits in pretty grounds and offers wonderful views of Thor’s Cave and the Manifold Valley. Recently renovated, with charming wood floors and a cosy wood burning stove in the stone hearth in the sitting room, this spacious and comfortable accommodation makes a fantastic romantic hideaway. Excellent walking and cycling trails are available on the doorstep, whilst the local pub is 10 minutes walk away. Dovedale, with its famous River Dove, renowned as one of the most beautiful rivers in the Peak area, is just a short drive away.

.Owners Tim & Michelle have lived at Town End Farm for 15 years since they discovered the property whilst coming through the footpath whilst on a ramble. They fell in love with the farm and the village and have enjoyed the peace, the space and the Peak District ever since. They welcome visitors to the Barn and try to make sure that everyone who visits gets the best possible break whatever their interests are

Notes on accommodation: First floor is accessed by a spiral staircase via the twin bedroom. Full Gas (LPG) central heating via combi boiler with additional heating from wood burning stove in sitting room. Basket of logs and coal provided. Outside: Off road parking for two cars. Pretty garden and private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Utility Room: Washing machine & chest freezer in the garage adjoining the kitchen Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Starter pack of hand wash, loo rolls, kitchen roll, tea, coffee, etc. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Other: Cot and highchair on request.

Lovely place, away from it all

What a little "gem" had a lovely couple of nights here to explore the Peak District. Welcoming hosts who were not intrusive on our stay. Beautifully converted barn with all the items you need for a self catering stay. Lovely furnishings, well equipped, nice bedding and towels. Lovely spot looking out over open countryside with pubs and villages with close (driving) proximity. Would definitely recommend for a couple or 2 couples or a family short stay.

Gorgeous house lovely owners

We had the most amazing snowy weekend in this cottage! It is a beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting! Can’t fault anything and we would love to go again. Michelle was so kind and helpful and helped us escape safely when the snow fell thickly. Thanks for the best weekend x

Comfortable and warm in a beautiful setting

Welcoming, well appointed and everything worked perfectly. Lovely touches such as flowers and cookies on arrival. Fantastic place for walks and bike rides although some steep hills! Many thanks, we had a lovely few days.

Beautiful cottage/barn conversion

Lovey place to stay with very relaxed owners left us clear instructions for where key was and directions to property. Property is clean and well equipped and in a good location to see the Peak District. Would come again and would recommend to all.

Lovely quiet cosy just what we needed

We loved our stay, greeted by friendly helpful owners who helped us with our additional needs with our baby (Cot etc).

We had a great time the cottage has so much character set in stunning grounds with beautiful scenery. So much to do nearby for all the family with plenty of towns and villages a short drive away.

Overall a fantastic cottage which had everything we needed.

Special interest holidays:

This delightful village is situated on the side of the beautiful Manifold Valley in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Like its well known neighbour the Dove, the Manifold cuts a course through superb scenery and is a delight for both walkers and cyclists with the “Manifold Trail” following the route of the old Leek to Manifold Light Railway. Warslow itself is a pretty stone built village, and close by is Hartington with a wide range of shops, whilst further afield is the market town of Ashbourne. The surrounding area has many pubs offering a good range of food and Alton Towers is just a 30 minute drive away.

There are stately homes to visit nearby including Chatswort &, Haddon Hall, and a variety of other attractions including Buxton Opera House, Farmer's Markets, fairs and festivals, nearby Craft Barn and horseriding.


The nearby village of Hartington (5 miles) has a good range of shops and places to eat. Chatsworth, Alton Towers, Haddon Hall are all around 30 minutes drive away. The towns of Leek, Bakewell, Buxon & Ashbourne are between 8 - 10 miles away
