About the Owner

Although I live and grew up in Bristol, I spent a great deal of time on the beaches of Hayle as a child as my parents owned a holiday home on the Towans. I became in love with the place as an adult, which led my husband an I to purchase a bungalow in the Hayle locality to enjoy with our own children, who are currently 3 and 4, and also to share with others.

A lovely well Kept property in a great location. The property was clean and in good condition throughout. There was a well equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom. Ideal for families with young children. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Hayle is only 3 miles away and is renowned for its three miles of golden beaches, which are united at low tide. They are seldom crowded and are patrolled by lifeguards from May until mid-September.

Hayle beaches are just 3 miles away. At low tide all the beaches join up to provide an impressive stretch of sand, the beach is so vast that it very rarely gets crowded.

A few minutes drive takes you to the famous resorts St Ives with its delightful harbour and the world famous Tate Gallery. A more scenic and fun way to get to St Ives is the park and ride either by boat or train.

Just a little further leads to Land’s End, Lizard Point, St Michael’s Mount and Penzance, all within 15 miles.

Further Details:

Less than a mile down the road takes you to Hayle, where you will find a couple of our favourite restaurants/bars on Foundary square; Salt Bar www.salt-hayle.co.uk and Antoninis www.antoninis.co.uk . Plus a whole heap of other great restaurants and quirky shops, for more information on Hayle see www.hayletown.co.uk

If the weather is typically British, on the doorstep are a few fun options. To name a few: Paradise Park, which is Cornwall's top wildlife sanctuary and Jungle Barn indoor play centre www.paradisepark.org.uk . Coast to Coast Go Carting Centre, for a exciting experience www.coast2coastkarting.co.uk . Or for relaxed family fun County Skittles is great, with its bowling alleys, shooting gallery, abundance of family games and lovely restaurant www.countryskittles.com]

Fishing is great in this area, Hayle harbour is great for flatfish, mackrel and sea bass.

Hayle Estuary is a haven for birdwatchers, the RSPB describe it as one of the best places for wildlife in the UK. In cold winters, as many as 18,000 birds have been seen here. The reserve is good for walking, with pushchair-friendly paths.

Great walking holidays can be had here, a variety of walks that cover not only the town of Hayle and its wonderful industrial heritage but also the coast and hinterland to include the Towans, St Erth, Gwithian and Godrevy Head.

Hayle is a great Location for Kitesurfing, Surfing and Windsurfing and offers lesson for all ages and abilities.

In winter the local vilages of Angarrack and Mousehole have some of the best Christmas light displays in Cornwall which attract thousands of visitors every year.
