3 Bedrooms,2 Bathrooms.Annex gives facility for 2 Families /Extended family sharing.Enclosed Gard

The Cottage combines the Traditional North Cornish cob Cottage with an Architect Designed Timber -framed building addition to provide beautiful high quality accomodation with uninterupted views from the Sitting room /Dining room and garden of the North Atlantic over open Countryside designated as a Protected Area.

The Cottage provides the fully equipped kitchen/Dishwasher /Fitted fridge etc and a snug sitting room with Woodburner,Smart TV connected to Super fast Broadband, Blu-Ray Player and Sound bar with I-pod facility. Upstairs in the Cottage are two of the Bedrooms and a Bathroom.. One bedroom has a King sized Double bed and the other two single beds.

The Cottage opens onto the through Dining Room,with access to the Outside seating area and the Large Sitting Area with a view which is one of the best in Cornwall .The Sitting Area has its own Doors to the Garden .

Off the Larger Sitting room is the utility room and Separate Cloakroom.The Utility room has a small Fridge/freezer/washing ma cine ,Electric Clothes airer/dryer,sink etc.

The Third Bedroom is on the First floor of the Annex.On the Ground floor is a bathroom and a Seating Area with its own TV . It has its own entrance .It is joined to the Cottage but is Timber-framed. It provides an element of Privacy for two families sharing or for older Siblings. There is a double bed and a single bed to provide flexibility although we normally limit the Accomodation to 6 Guests.

The Garden is fenced in to provide for Pets and there is an outside hot shower for Washing off if wished .

We and our Adult Children their friends and family regularly stay at the Cottage together with our working Collie who is pictured below enjoying the Cliff walk above Northcott Mouth.

Being South Westerly sea facing there are great sunsets with the sun sinking gently into the horizon. Spring , Autumn and Winter can afford a view of the might of the North Atlantic weather-not much between you and America with many beautiful clear days.

Pets are welcome .The Garden provides a reasonably secure area for supervised pets - we are sure a determined pet could get out if it wanted to but so far so good!

About Geoffrey Adams

We bought Beagle Cottage as a Holiday Home and an opportunity to renovate and improve an Old Property to provide a good space to enjoy the sea/country views it affords. With the help of a Local Architect and Builder we refurbished the original traditionally built part of the Cottage and then created the Annex using a timber framed construction to replace a lean-to garage.

The Dining room/utility room and sitting area were designed to enable us to enjoy the view across the countryside to the open sea.The work took us about 18 months including getting the dreaded planning permission.

Shortly after we had completed the workone of our sons then came to live in the property whilst working as a vet with a local practice as an Equine Vet.

He now works in the South East and so we decided that we would enter the Holiday Market so that the Cottage would be enjoyed by others.

We are working farmers based in South Wales but get down as often as our farming life permits.We flirt with retiring to this Cottage in Cornwall but the time never quite seems right but meantime hope you will enjoy it as much as we do

Why Geoffrey Adams chose North Cornwall

The Cottage is within easy driving distance of our home yet is on a Road which leads to a quiet Beach and not much else. From it you can access all parts of North Cornwall easily and avoid the crowds even in High Season. We have found that it affords an area of repose without isolation

What makes this cottage unique

We enjoy the local pubs ,restaurants ,eating breakfast out, walking the dog, being away from the day job .

The Enclosed garden gives us the opportunity to "stay in" but still look out ..

The High Speed Broadband enables the" Out side" to" Come In" as, when, and if, YOU( not it} choose yet enjoy the world of the Internet etc-staying in touch on your terms.

We fell in love with the view and the traditionally built part of the Cottage.To sit in the forward area of the sitting room of an evening enjoying a gentle beer /glass of wine whilst gently rocking on the chair -the foot stool rocks too- watching the sun go down cannot be recommended too highly-only problem there is only room for two chairs!

With Binoculars we can look over the Lake at the Bird Sanctuary and see the Migrants and Resident Birds landing and taking off, sometimes feeding in the field next to the property.

We had an absolutely fabulous week, Beagle Cottage was fantastic.

We loved the cottage, a brilliant design mixing the traditional cottage with modern extension.

The location is perfect mix of countryside and beach, we enjoyed walking on cliffs and (not being surfers) having a paddle when the tide was out.

As we’re National Trust members we usually drove to the car park, as our dog pulls so much on the lead, the road walk wasn’t very enjoyable.

Relaxed in the garden (conversing with the heiffers in the field!) and appreciated the wonderful view from inside the cottage later in the day

Had a day out at the Eden Project (which is now dog friendly)
