Restaurants are numerous and nearby and to explore the island car hire, taxis and local bus services are within a very easy walk.

Oistins is less than 10 minutes away. Worthing, Accra, Hastings and Bridgetown all easily reached.
All major tourist attractions will pick up from apartment ie. Catamaran cruises, submarine, jeep tours, fishing excursions.
From the airport a quick 15 minute journey down the coast road.

I didn't know what to expect when I booked the condo. I was glad I booked the condo when I arrived. Our family had a wonderful time. The condo was very lovely and in a great location. It's about 15 minutes taxi ride to the condo which cost $20 USD. St. Lawrence Gap is about a 15 minutes walk and Dover Beach is about 5 minutes walk. There's also a grocery store around the corner. I recommend using the local buses to explore the island. It's only $1 USD each way.
Fabulous island with warm friendly people. The great apartment is just a minute away from Dover Beach. Has its own pool shared by three other apartments but we were the only ones. We effectively used the apartment as a base to explore the local beaches etc. the beauty of not being in an AI hotel is eating out so though we ate in once we really only used the kitchen for breakfast as the restaurants are brilliant and in uk terms quite inexpensive.
A/C in the bedrooms which we needed as it was quite humid at the time we went.
Bars and restaurants start just at the end of the road where the St Lawrence gap starts. In my opinion this is at the right (quieter) end of the strip. We met people who were staying at the western end who said it was noisy until the early hours.

“Barbados is just a great place, but the area around Dover and the Gap to me offer everything you need. Great beaches, restaurants, bars, shops, ease of transport, and peace ! My apartment is no more than 2 minutes to the beach and within minutes walk of all the above. For old, young, families with kids, it's just a great location. There is enough choice around to cater for all budgets. You can have beaches to yourself or go to dover beach and have watersports. Choices for whatever you want to do. I just think it's a great place to stay in Barbados.”
Activity and Interests
The nearest beach is at the end of the road and can be walked within 2 minutes. Dover beach is about 5 minutes walk away with all the facilities that it has ie. bars, restaurants, water sport activities, Dover chattel house village.
the apartment is approximately 15 minutes ride from the airport by taxi. Taxis at the airport are numerous, safe, reliable and monitored on price.
Dover beach is 5 minutes walk away. The Gap at St Lawrence around 10 minutes walk. Oistins is 10 minutes by taxi or local bus. Many resorts/beaches along south west coast leading to Bridgetown, which is around 20-40 minutes away depending on traffic.
There are many places to eat nearby and at the Gap catering for many tastes. All within easy walking distance. There are also many bars within this area, though please note these are not "loud' bars, but reasonably quiet to sit and have a drink. A supermarket catering for most things is at the end of the road less than 2 minutes away, with a bank and gift shop. Bike and car hire places are also nearby. Tennis is available at many of the nearby hotels.

In addition superb beaches are within minutes away, as are restaurants, shops and bars. Getting around the island from here is easy with taxis and buses all nearby. Car hire is at the end of the road, with off road parking available at the apartment. You can just do most things from here. Bookings trips and getting picked up is also no issue. In short, you can enjoy all the benefits of barbados in a great, affordable, spacious and comfortable apartment.”

- Notes on accommodation: please note that this is a non smoking, family type accommodation. The area is quiet although close to a lot of amenities. Taxis are less than 2 minutes away away. Local bus services 5 minutes walk. Children are welcome, though please note that the pool is nearby and has a deep end so smaller children will need to be supervised. Outside: There is a shared pool within the manicured gardens. The setting is superb without anybody overlooking you. The 4 apartment complex is secure with key and alarm access, along with safes within the apartment. Utility Room: iron, ironing board, shared laundry room that has 2 x top loaders and 2 x dryers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen, towels and cleaning provided. Once a week change. Can be increased with additional charge. Beach towels not provided. Pool loungers.
