The apartment is a cosy family second home, comfortable and well-equipped. The style is soft with wooden furniture and cladding – if you like chrome, steel and glass then this apartment is not for you! It enjoys breath-taking views along the Rhone valley from its south-facing balcony, and views of the mountain, fields, woods and the télécabine from its north balcony. Located next to the skating-rink in the central Place du Village, it is convenient for shopping, ski hire and a selection of restaurants.

Although the flat sleeps 6, an additional adjoining studio is optionally available. This has an additional shower and toilet, and can sleep 4, bringing the total accommodation to 10. Contact the owner for details.

Garage parking is available in the underground car park linked to the building. The village wifi is accessible, which is free for 30-minute access and very reasonable cost for unlimited use.

The flat is ideal for a place to unwind in the summer, with walking, horse-riding, mountain-biking and much more. It is the perfect base for touring the magnificent Valais, and has access to Italy through the Grand St. Bernard and Simplon Passes.

The region's food is excellent and interesting, and the wine is exceptionally good - although you rarely get the chance to taste it outside the Valais!

We chose Anzère because it was, and is still, a charming village without tower blocks and with a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. The list of summer activities is great, with the feeling of being in a peaceful rural setting. The skiing area is not huge, but it provides a good range of levels and a relaxed holiday.

Travel:

2 hours from Geneva airport by train and then bus.

Driving from the UK, via Calais, Rheims, Dijon, Besançon and Pontarlier, takes about 8 hours on the continent. The alternative route via Bourg-en-Bresse and Geneva takes about 9 hours driving, but is more reliable in snowy weather.

Distances:

Sion 14km. Crans Montana 19km. Verbier 68km. Zermatt 86km, 1 hour 40 min drive.

The flat is on the edge of the village, next to fields and woods to give it a calm, peaceful atmosphere; an easy stroll to restaurants and supermarket. Anzère was designed with charm and care, ideal for children. The ability to expand from 6 to 10 beds makes the flat very flexible.

This room is an adjoining studio which is only available as an extension to the apartment, but has its own shower and toilet. Contact the owner for details and prices. We have secure private parking in the underground carpark accessible direct from the building. There is also access to many of the shops and restaurants from the carpark, so you can't get snowed into the building! Outside: The village has a new and modern wellness/spa with swimming pool, saunas, jacuzzi, and many treatments. The apartment has cards to gain 30% discount for four people.
