5 en-suite bedrooms, large kitchen, dining room and lounge. In a peaceful corner of town but close to the Gondola and the centre of Luchon

Our tastefully renovated period property has 3 large en-suite bedrooms that can be arranged into twin or king sized configuration. The fourth room has an additional bunk room for children and the last room is a large family suite that will comfortably sleep 5 people. Our large Kitchen / Dining Room will comfortably seat upto 15 people and there is a large lounge for relaxing after a day exploring the mountains.

There is ample on street parking and we are easily accessed by train, bus, aeroplane or car.

Victoria and Geoff have been running Chalets for the last 4 years and 2014 was the year their dream of running their own chalet became reality. After a few months of heavy renovation to restore life into the beautiful Villa Gracieuse they are now sharing their home with you.

Victoria is an accomplished chalet Chef and has a passion for serving well balanced meals to fuel your day on the mountain.

Geoff is an all round host, organising daily activities, airport runs and ensuring that your holiday is memorable for all the right reasons.

Une formidable semaine entre amis chez Vic & Geoff

Nous avons passé un séjour extraordinaire dans la "Villa Gracieuse", superbe maison d'époque retapée avec goût par Vic & Geoff. La maison a énormément de charme, elle est très spacieuse et s'est révélée un terrain de jeu extra pour les enfants. Nos hôtes se sont montrés très accueillants, sympathiques et serviables. Nous avons même eu le plaisir de goûter à la cuisine 'home made' notamment un délicieux boeuf bourguignon, un cheese cake savoureux, sans oublier l'incontournable English breakfast pour ceux qui seraient tentés. La maison est très bien située, en plein centre ville de Luchon dans une rue calme, ce qui nous a permis d'organiser plusieurs petites sorties malgré une météo peu engageante pendant notre semaine ... Merci encore à nos hôtes pour ce séjour formidable !!

Villa top confort et prestations

Sejour très agréable dans cette demeure. La météo défavorable nous a permis d'en apprécier le confort et l'espace.

Grands volumes, bonnes prestations. Tout est prévu pour recevoir pas mal de monde : pièces bien équipées et confortables, cuisine accueillante

La presentation du site est alléchante mais la découverte "live" ne déçoit pas comme par exemple pour la salle cinéma bien appréciée des enfants !!!

Les propriétaires sont très accueillants (petit nécessaire pour l'installation à l'arrivée) et disponibles si besoin.

Location

From the Owner

After working seasons in the Alps Victoria and Geoff took jobs in the Pyrenees and immediately fell in love with the wilderness and raw beauty of the area. During the winter the skiing is excellent - we've skied on fresh powder like no where else, and more often than not the pistes are deserted. In the summer the wilderness is so accessible for walkers and cyclists alike. Most years you will be able to watch the Tour de France either come through the town or visit nearby. There are so many adrenaline activities to keep the most active guests occupied for the week. But for those seeking a more relaxing break, the cafe culture, boutique shops and markets of this town are a must.

The Town:

Luchon is a beautiful historic town that retains much of its 19th Century Architecture and parkland, but has modernised to accommodate a very French feeling Cafe Culture in both summer and winter

Travel:

Nearest Airports are Tarbes/Lourdes (1hr15 transfer) Pau and Toulouse (both a 1hr30 transfer). There is a train station in town and it is possible to take the overnight sleeper train from Paris and arrive in Luchon the next day. Driving times from Major ports are Calais approximately 10 hours, Santander 5 Hours and Cherbourg 8 Hours

Facilities

From the Owner

The town is set at a lower altitude than most ski towns so is easily accessible throughout the winter without risk of road closures. A gondola to one side of town gives direct access to the ski station of Superbagneres. The location also means we have access to flatter valley roads for cyclists, but are very close to a number of very challenging cols. And whilst hot in the summer, the fresher air of the mountains means we rarely feel humidity in the evenings.
