Self-catering 5 bedroom spacious farmhouse, on the A82 three miles north of Crianlarich, 1 hour from Glasgow on a working farm, surrounded by spectacular mountain views, close to the West highland way long distance foot path and 30 minutes from Glen Coe. Ideal location for touring and many outdoor sports including, hill walking, ski-ing, water sports, pony treking, cycling , gold panning etc

Highly recommended, Better than being at home.

This was a brilliant place to use as a base for a group of 8 motorcyclists from all over the UK touring Scotland. The house is very well equipped, and was very clean. The kitchen was substantial and appeared newly fitted. There is plenty of room in the large kitchen/Diner for everyone but also a seperate smaller lounge, both with TV's. Unlike may rental properties, the kitchen equipment is extensive, from lots of pans, to enormous american style fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. There are even 3 kettles so even if you have enough room to fill the house, you woll not have to wait for your tea or coffee. Sky TV is available as is free wi-fi. We had a problem with wi-fi on the second day. We went to mention it to Rena, who came over straight away to sort it. Yes it is an old building, with character, but has been well modernised and insulated. The oll fired central heating works very well, and the log burner was already prepared for us to use if required. In Crianlarich a couple of miles away we ate evening meals at The Rod & Reel, I would recommend their meals. A couple of miles the other way at Tyndrum is The Green Wellly Stop, a renowned cafe, shop, petrol station, biker stop, gift shop, They do excellent breakfasts. Needless to say we did very little cooking at the farmhouse. The rest of my group complimented me on the choice of accomodation, and well worth the price, even if you do not need all the rooms. The 5 rooms are split as follows, 2 twin rooms, 1 triple single room, 1 double with single, 1 double with 2 singles.. So it could sleep up to 14 if you are families with young children. I intend staying here again when next touring Scotland

Glasgow Airport is one hour 15 minutes from thje property . Public transport is available within 2 miles of the property and a taxi is available locally.

Distances:

The farmhouse is located 2 miles from the village of Tyndrum and 3 miles from Crianlarich. Within a one hour drive there are several towns including Oban ,FortWilliam, Stirling, Glasgow, Loch Lomond and a 2 hour drive from Edinburgh.
