Cosy, comfortable, well appointed cottage. Ideal base to explore the scenic north Norfolk coast.

Cosy, well appointed cottage. Although small it had everything we needed. The secure garden a real sun trap and well marked walks around the village ideal for our cocker spaniel puppy who loved her visit too. Great base to explore the pretty villages and coastal paths of north Norfolk. Particularly liked Thornham and The Orange Tree - dog friendly and lovely food.

The house was very cosy. Well placed for visiting local Norfolk attractions.

  • 4 of 5

The house had a very comfortable bed in a small but pleasant bedroom. The wardrobe a little small but ok for a few days. Comfortable yet compact living dining area and table for two. As people who like to self cater we found the lack of storage space in the kitchen challenging. Not a problem if you plan to eat out. Nice little garden well kept, we enjoyed eating and having a drink outdoors. Yes we would return there for a holiday.

Perfect base for exploring Norfolk

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cottage, the perfect place to explore Norfolk from. The bed is the most comfiest I have ever slept in and the little touches of arriving to a cake, biscuits and essentials was excellent.

The cottage was very clean and tidy, had everything you needed.

We loved the peacefulness of the cottage and will definitely go back again one day.

A real gem...

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at the cottage twice now and just love it...small but perfectly formed! The garden which is really well kept and private is also an added bonus. The cottage is well equipped and extremely comfortable. Communication with the owner has always be good and she has always been quick to respond to our enquiry. Syderstone is a very quiet village and well placed for short scenic drives to the north Norfolk coast and the wider county. We had previously stayed on the coast which we love but have found we really liked being a few miles inland. There are good walks from the village too.

We definitely intend to return!

Perfect winter break

  • 5 of 5

Had such a lovely break here in November . The cottage was nice and warm and had everything you need . Lovely comfortable bed and cotton bedding , also had a feather duvet I liked so much I went and bought one for my bed at home . Good pubs nearby , lots of shops in Fakenham a short distance away .

What a fabulous time. Can't wait to return.

  • 5 of 5

What a little gem. We had a fabulous time staying at The Hideaway which was perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding countryside and the nearby coastline.

The cottage itself is perfect with every amenity that we could wish for with a beautiful private little garden. Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with multi chanel TV and WIFI.

The bedroom is wonderful with the comfiest bed we have ever slept in.

Nice little pub within walking distance and friendly neighbours everywhere.

Will definitely be back.

Roger Williams.
