Spacious log cabin set in beautiful well maintained gardens lined with trees on a private road. Parking to the front on the cabin. The cabin boasts all modern amenities including open plan living and modern kitchen and utility room. Spacious master bedroom and ensuite. Enjoy alfresco dining on the decking soaking up the glorious gardens and large pond with water feature. Access to all the facilities offered by Parkdean to include indoor heated swimming pool,Sauna, Restaurant and Bar, Evening entertainment, Crazy Golf, large outdoor play area, indoor soft play, Laundrette, shop. There is also woodland walks to be enjoyed and picnic and barbecue areas. Many wonderful beaches close by and easily accessed. Padstow only a few miles away and easy access to many of Cornwalls places of interest including King Arthurs Tintagel Castle, The Eden Project, Port Isaac - setting for the Doc Martin TV Series, Rock the place famous for the holidaying of the Rich and Famous and Padstow.

We are a small family who fell in love with Cornwall and decided to buy our own little piece of it. My name is Laura, my husband is Richard and we have Reuben our 5 year old who has enjoyed lots of holidays here. We brought the lodge in November 2012.

In all our visits we always enjoy the local beaches and surrounding areas. there is lots to do for Families and feel we have only scratched the surface! We enjoy the Eden project which is close by and always take our son to Cornwall Crealy a lovely Adventure Play park for little right upto big ones!! There are many lovely Restaurants to visit too. All you want for a memorable holiday.

Memorable holiday

We thought by previous reviews and from the photographs that the lodge looked nice and we were not disappointed. After a reasonable journey it was so nice to arrive at a very clean and comfortable place to relax. The lodge is extremely well equipped and very well maintained. In a very nice position on the site and great to be able to have the car right outside. We didn't really make use of the facilities as we were only really interested in somewhere nice to stay but my general opinion of the park is that it would be great for families, plenty for them to do and very convenient with some lovely beaches nearby. Would definitely come again.

Beautifully decorated lodge with all your home comforts!

We have now enjoyed a few visits to this lodge and area and can honestly say we feel so relaxed as a family here. It has all the comforts from home and this lodge is perfectly situated to get about and explore the beautiful scenery of Cornwall! We love it so much that we are forefitting our summer holiday abroad this year!

Beautiful lodge in tranquil setting, perfect!

We just couldn't believe how lovely and luxurious the Lodge was when we first arrived. Everything had been catered for but there were unexpected extras like a wine fridge, coffee machine and utility room. We really couldn't fault it.

We were a little disappointed at the expense of the Parkdean passes and therefore didn't bother with the clubhouse and pool on the site. We made use of all the fabulous beaches instead (Rock, Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Padstow, Carlyon Bay and more). We also didn't use the shop but only because we were out and about so much, we tended to use the big supermarkets.

One really fun thing we did and would thoroughly recommend was football golf at St Austell. Make sure you Google it!

It was our first time to Cornwall but we will be back very soon given the lovely accommodation, the friendly Cornish fol and beautiful coastline.

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a thoughtful review. We are so pleased you found our lodge comfortable and luxurious ! It means a lot to us that guests enjoy the accommodation on their holiday. We understand your comments on the park passes but have to say that if the weather isn't too great and the beach isn't an option then they are a great fall back especially if you have little ones as they have childrens activities on most of the day including Pizza making which is included in the price. There is also a great childrens disco and entertainment in the evening and of course use of the indoor pool. Passes are£11 Peak and £9 off Peak.

Excellent accomadation

We spent a lovely week in Cornwall, our accomadation was excellant,it was very comfortable and spacious. We had everything we needed and the bonus of peaceful surroundings. I would certainly recommend the holiday cabin.

Porthilly Cove (1.5 miles) is just around the corner from the Sailing Club at Rock.

Daymer Bay (1.5 miles) Great for wind surfers and for small children wanting to fish in the rock pools or play in the sand.

Polzeath Beach (3 miles) - Polzeath beach is a large expanse of beautiful sand ideal for surfers and beach enthusiasts. It is acclaimed as one of the best surfing beaches in the country.

Padstow - (2.5 miles by water taxi from Rock) Undeniably the gastronomic Capitol of Cornwall


The use of a car is recommended in order to access the area fully. The nearest railway station is Bodmin Parkway about 15 miles away. Newquay airport is about 20 miles away. There is car hire available in Wadebridge.

Further Details:

St Minver is well placed for easy access to local shops in Rock and Polzeath and the larger town of Wadebridge is 10 minutes away by car. Here there are a wider variety of shops, supermarkets and banks. The area is very well served for restaurants, Padstow boasts Rick Stein famous Fish and Chips and his sea front restaurant, along with Paul Ainsworth at Number 6. Rock has some delightful restaurants with balconies over looking the estaury. The ferry runs from Rock to Padstow all year and in the evening a water taxi is available to Padstow restaurants. Fishing and pleasure trips are run from the harbour. The Camel Trail (the old railway line) is fun for cyclists. It runs alongside the estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge and on to Bodmin and bikes can be hired locally. The quaint coastal village of Port Isaac (location for Doc Martin) is about 15 mins away by car. There are many things to do in the area - for example the Eden Project, Cornwall Crealy Adventure Park, Newquay Zoo, Falmouth Maritime Museum, Bodmin Jail and the legends of King Arthur at Tintagel.

Lovely location within beautiful surroundings. The luxury of the lodge and its interior. Convenient to get to it wonderful beaches. Access to The Eden Project and other top attractions. We love the Ferry trip over to Padstow. Wadebridge is also a lovely town very close by.

There is adjoining free-standing car parking with space for 2/3 vehicles. Outside: The property is situated at the far end of this peaceful privately accessed development.
