About the Owner

Since we bought the house in 2007 we have carried out major renovations which included providing en-suite bathrooms for all the bedrooms in our Chambres d'hotes (next door) 2 years ago we started on the Gite which was completed at the end of Summer, 2004. Initially for friends and family visits, the Gite is now available to rent for holiday bookings. We have enjoyed the whole process, particularly choosing the fabrics, furnishings and decorations to create an ambiance of stylish comfort whilst retaining the character of this lovely old property.

Very comfortable, fabulously equipped gite in a really beautiful location. The owners were very welcoming and gave us lots of help and ideas for exploring the area. A real find!

Impressive stone house set in lovely grounds in quiet countryside.

  • 5 of 5

The Gite is very nice and has everything you need to give you a comfortable stay. It has two good size bedrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. Modern touches like automatic lights in the hall make you realise how much thought Catherine and her husband have put into the renovation. Amazingly comfortable beds welcome you at the end of the day after exploring the very historical towns that are really worth visiting. We recommend Vannes, Rochquefort and our favourite Josselin where you must visit the Chateau!

The Gite is exceptionally clean and very well maintained. Catherine is helpful and considerate and we would definitely recommend this property to others.

Owner's Response: We were very pleased to hear that we are getting things right and that you enjoyed your stay with us and found the area to your liking. There is so much to see and do in and around the Golfe du Morbihan and Josselin is certainly one place not to be missed. Hope you will choose us if you decide to come to the region again.

Beautiful location, perfect accommodation

  • 5 of 5

This beautifully appointed Gite was the perfect location to explore the Golfe du Morbihan. Plenty of space throughout the Gite, everything you could want in the kitchen. Lots of outdoor areas to sit and enjoy breakfast or evening drinks. It was spotless and very well maintained having been refurbished to a high standard. Catherine and Sam were the perfect hosts, very welcoming and always on hand to answer questions. The main town of Vannes was only 20 minutes by car and as we love cycling we used this as a base to explore the area by bike. We will go back, possibly as a stop off and use the bed and breakfast service that Catherine provides in the main house. We would not hesitate to Moulin de Louhan. Thank you for a great week.

Owner's Response: We were very pleased that you were happy with your stay in the Gite here at Le Moulin de Luhan and that you found the cycling in the area what you were looking for. You're always welcome whether you choose to stay in the gite again or would like to try the B&B next time (and perhaps our cooking!) Best regards, Catherine

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

Mum, Dad and I spent a wonderful week at the gite last week. We cannot speak highly enough about the gite, from the fantastic beds, pillows, linen, lounge and super equipped kitchen everything was perfect. The setting is beautiful, gardens, trees, pond and stunning building. We fell in love with William the dog , and he with us , I think. Cathy our hostess couldn't be more helpful, and we felt we have made a friend for life. The property is perfectly placed , quiet out of city, yet close enough to drive for groceries etc. Ideally placed to take advantage of all the sites. I highly recommend this property.

Owner's Response: Thank you all for your comments and for taking the time to write and send them. William was in decline, sitting sighing all the rest of the day! It certainly was a pleasure to meet you and I hope our paths cross again and soon. I'll be in touch and send the photo I took on your last day. I hope you are enjoying the rest of your trip and wish you a safe and comfortable journey home. Best wishes, Cathy

Beautiful gite in lovely surroundings. Recommended to all.

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay while house hunting. Could not have chosen a more welcoming environment, as Cathrine is a wonderful host. The gite is probably the best we've stayed in in terms of quality, style and location. The beds were the most comfortable ever!

Will stay again if in the area. Thank you Catherine.
