Smart comfortable and good value!

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect place for a couple, a dog and possibly a 7-12 year old child (not that we have one but there is a mezzanine which could be used by a child). We were impressed by the decor and the facilities which included 2 bathrooms, well equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, and two modern televisions, cd and radio. The cottage is well located down a little drive off station road surrounded by shops restaurants and cafes and a short walk to the beach.

The downsides (which didnt bother us) would be lack of a garden. It means if you bring a dog lie in is limited and having to park on a street. Sometimes we drove round twice in busy parts of the day.

Great location, roomy and modern chalet. Very good value.

Very good break. Friday arrival and departure days made it ideal to have a full weekend at the Forties event on the railway. Saturday arrival would encroach on weekend events! Easy access to public transport made exploring the local area very enjoyable.

Quiet location, well designed house.

  • 5 of 5

We found the cottage to be well-designed and equipped. Everything clean, fresh and attractive. Neil's descriptions are accurate and his instructions are helpful and thorough. Parking easy to find just round the corner. Sheringham is a nice little seaside town, though we were using it as a base.

Excellant little property in the heart of shearingham

  • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay in the beach hut ,

It's a fab , well furnished , modern , quirky little flat , well equipped , ideal for a couple , we found parking not a problem but it is a busy Main Street , loved the kitchen cafe which had just opened at the end of the lane ,

Ideal place to stay as your right in the middle of all the shops , pubs , cafes , but it's quiet at night ,

Kay

Great time on Baz's birthday

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the Beach Hut in Sheringham, everything was clean and tidy, and as described on the web site.

Lots of coastal walks were enjoyed by Baz and I and Spike the dog. As we are members of the National Trust, so we were pleased to visit a couple of places that were near by. There was a great variety of places to eat out, and some good pubs that

did very good food.

The Beach Hut was in an excellent position in the middle of the town and only a minute from the beaches. Baz had a day at the local military museum, ten minutes drive away, whilst I had a day on the beach with the dog. We have been to many Owners Direct cottages and this one certainly was on par with the others we have visited.

Cosy seaside retreat

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was just as described, with a well-appointed shower room downstairs and bathroom upstairs. The kitchen was mostly well appointed, with microwave, dishwasher, plenty of pots and pans, and a good hob/oven. A slight shame that there was no teapot, though! Even though I was staying there in a stormy February the electric heaters kept it warm and kept most draughts at bay. Bedding and towels were provided as arranged in advance, and the housekeeper was friendly and welcoming. Sheringham is a lovely, quiet seaside town out of season; a great place to get away from it all.
