Sleeps 7. 3 bedroom house. Ringmore offers spacious accommodation sleeping up to 7 people over two floors and is situated in an excellent corner position in the popular town of Salcombe. The property looks straight down to the harbour with wonderful, far-reaching views across the estuary to the East Portlemouth shore,

From the very first moment you step inside Ringmore House you have that inescapable feeling of the quality that goes with a listed period property. The high ceilings and beautifully crafted cornicing catch your eye as the views of the estuary speak to you with one word. Salcombe.

The uninterrupted views of the estuary are quite breathtaking and a car is most definitely not required here as access to everywhere is but moments away on foot. Simply look at the scale on the map below and you will see how close we are to Fore Street and the water's edge!

PLEASE NOTE: as parking in Salcombe is limited we can purchase a parking pass for you that allows you to park in the main car parks in south hams. This pass costs approx £45 per week. If you would like us to purchase one for you please let us know before booking so payment request can be added to your invoice,

Noisy location; uncomfortable bed; a shower with no power; shabby chic design that's more shabby than chic; an unhelpful local agent and owner. Good luck getting your full deposit back. That's my opinion.

Though, I would highly recommend a visit to Salcombe and plan to go back but definitely not to this property. Salcome is a small place and most properties are only a short walk away from the Main Street so there's no need to stay so near to the bars and noise.

Owner's Response: It is a shame the guest felt compelled to respond this way. They locked themselves out of the accommodation and were asked to cover the locksmith costs. The central location appeals to many of our guests including repeat guests.

Lovely house and outstanding location

We could never have hoped to stay in such a perfect house. The big kitchen enabled us to socialize while cooking and the living room was perfect for relaxing on wet evenings and playing board games on the floor. The bathrooms were adequate although the top one has a low sloped ceiling that did cause a few user problems for people over 5' 2". The main bathroom was fine once the shower controls were mastered. Bedrooms were spacious and plenty of storage. Our only minor gripes were the absence of toilet paper and washing products (clothes and dishes) and the crummy pots and knives. This is a common problem with all rentals that we have stayed in over the years and it always baffles us as to why the Owners scrimp on this stuff when the renters are coughing up $1000's to stay there.

Owner's Response: Such a shame that such an excellent 1st half of the review was ruined by the second half toxic comments.... Perhaps the local scrumpy had got to their heads and were incapable or unwilling to look into the cupboards (like one previous reviewer who said we had no cheese grater when we actually had the biggest one in Devon!!!) . Toilet paper.. There was plenty of toilet paper.. the ends are folded with triangles just like a hotel.. There was 30 more rolls in the cupboard. How much did they need? Perhaps they were effected by some off mussels and needed the lot? Who knows? Clothes and dishes.. He/she does not make his/her point here.. It is NOT our responsibility to supply the guest with his/her clothes. This is the responsibility of the guest and if he/she arrives without any clothes can I suggest Fat Face, Crew Clothing or even Jack Wills? All a small streak away from Ringmore House. The Pots are a complete set of Marco Pierre White - all brand new and retail at £600??? What is wrong with this guest? Knives - Stainless Steel John Lewis Steak knives.. Were these perhaps not good enough? The guest failed to mention the 18 place French Antique Solid Sterling Silver cutlery (bought in The Var South of France) nor the 108 piece Portmeirion Botanic Gardens china collection? These can be seen clearly on the images on OD.. The property is very much like home from home and no expense has been spared on the items that the guest failed to find in the cupboards. Please enjoy our home in the knowledge that you will feel more than "at home" Simon E - Owner and very much not a cheapskate.

Wonderful location and great interior design

We stayed in Ringmore for two weeks in August 2015. You could not be more central in Salcombe. The kids loved being so near the sweet shop and ice cream shops. The beds were good and the living room was very pleasant. We have 3 boys and coped well in the space.

This museum has an amazing garden and stunning views over the estuary. Formerly the home of a somewhat eccentic inventor, the house is kept as a museum with some of his inventions on display. Car parking is available.

Sea Kayak Salcombe

Offer half and full day Kauak tours, no experience is necessary and all equipment will be supplied. They also offer sea kayak and paddle board coaching. There is also a large selection of single and tandem kayaks and paddle boards for rent. There are showers, changing rooms and a beach cafe on site.

They provide the ultimate fishing experience out of Salcombe, Quality angling for the experienced and the beginner alike for bass, cod, pollock, mackerel and other species.
